Regular MOTM candidate I seem to remember?

Feels weird on paper. However they clearly invested heavily on a couple of loans in January only to fall short in the run in with 3 wins from the final 12 so he's fallen short of their expectations.

He seems like a decent guy, not sure he's a very good manager though.

Yep, pretty much my thoughts.

He's clearly fallen short of the owner's expectations, but I reckon most pundits and neutrals would say he actually did well and slightly overachieved by finishing seventh.

He's also quite a highly rated young coach with a modern, attacking style of play, so Hull would've been better equipped to build on this season with him in charge rather than someone else, I would've thought.

Cue Hull owners having their very own 'Rooney moment', dispensing with a perfectly capable manager and replacing him with a big name so they can massage their egos by employing him and see their club renamed as ' 'x's' Hull City'.

Gerrard, they wouldn't, would they?

I Think Rosenior at this point in time does appear to be very much a style over substance coach, but when you have a young coach like that I think you're better off sticking the course instead of twisting so soon.

Feels like he's been sacked for not making the playoffs, yet that in itself is pretty arbitrary. Just looking at the league table they went from 15th last year to 7th this year. The xG numbers has them going from 20th to 9th. Just from those indicators they clearly have improved, and Rosenior only took charge in November last season too.

Obviously they invested quite heavily in the squad but it seems like the owner is maybe trying to go too fast in the quest for promotion.

TBF, that hardly makes him stand out among the current crop of “managers”. I like Russ Martin but the rubbish he came out with after playing us was laughable. Then there was Binface McKenna…

Very strange, and one I’m not sure that’s going to go down well with the fans.  Admittedly on a survey of one.

Yes - all gone a bit Birmingham-y

Championship team on the edge of the playoffs ?  Bit of money to spend ?  Reliance on attracting loan signings from the Premier League ?  I'd imagine Lampard's application has already hit the Hull Chairman's inbox ...

From a distance this seems like madness to me.

Having said that, though, if we sack Wagner if we fail to win the playoffs, many fans of other clubs, not knowing all the ins and outs of our club, would say the same about us.
