BicesterCanary 5 Posted January 28 Inevitable with a game like this but have a word with the ticketing policy NCFC. Was about 30% Liverpool in the general sale area. Killed any chance of an atmosphere. Poor from the resellers too
Kenny Foggo 1,116 Posted January 28 Yep.. I hark back to the days of 800 committed fans... off to Stockport in a petrol crisis. Of course anyone who complained about home fans in the away end would probably be banned by the club for being "difficult". #modernfootballisrubbish
Canary73 160 Posted January 28 I think WBA may have some questions to answer if Wolves fans were in the home end.
Fen Canary 866 Posted January 28 (edited) Liverpool fans misbehaving? It’ll be the fault of the police no doubt! Edited January 28 by Fen Canary
Capt. Pants 4,276 Posted January 28 I remember in the good old days in the 70s there were home and away fans in the same pen or at best separated by a railing. It certainly didn't kill the atmosphere but nowadays we can't cope with this 'confrontation'. It happens all the while in international major tournaments as the crowds are always 'general' and was always going to happen at Liverpool and WBA when more tickets are available to non season ticket holders. Nuff Said 5,176 Posted January 28 Just posted about this in the Sainz sign thread. It’s bad enough being in the away end, but celebrating when a goal is scored? Should be escorted out and banned.

Wondering whether I had enough petrol to get home!
It's Character Forming 1,166 Posted January 29 It was a bit annoying and I agree it reduced the atmosphere, but we did pretty well IMO, the home fans were quiet for surprisingly large chunks of the match and we made a decent amount of noise I thought. I noticed a couple behind me conspicuously not celebrating our equaliser, and I almost felt sorry for them, they looked so sheepish surrounded by people leaping around, but hopefully it'll discourage them from doing it again. The annoying thing is it's easy to cut out 99% of the people who do this by making it a requirement that you've bought at least a handful of tickets over the last couple of seasons. It's not rocket science. I remember one year when I missed the boat on a City ticket for the game at Forest as I just forgot about getting one until it was too late, so I checked about home tickets and Forest had that sort of requirement which ruled me out obv. I don’t know where you were but I thought our support was poor, I was hugely disappointed. There were a couple of lads in their early twenties next to me who made a valiant effort and a middle aged guy a couple of rows in front but after that I was the noisiest in our close area and although I join in, I’m a nice, quietly spoken sort so can’t help much. I wasn’t pished though TBF ;- ). 2. There were restrictions on tickets, I think you had to have bought (away?) tickets in the last five years (?) to buy. That didn’t stop you then buying for friends and family though, so presumably genuine away fans were enabling ‘pool supporters. Boo! How I Wrote Elastic Man 1,192 Posted January 29 How many here had Luton Town membership cards back in the 1980's 😃 I went to a football program shop in Bungay and bought a load of LTFC programs from the season before that had the vouchers in
Mr Angry 1,571 Posted January 29 Tickets went on general sale last Monday-before that it was only Away Members and Home Season Ticket holders. Obviously you would expect Away Members and Season Ticket holders to be Norwich fans-but for the general sale the information on the website said that you had to have a ticket purchase history to buy one-doesn't specify if this has to be tickets for home or away games. So presumably the Liverpool fans who got tickets for the away end had bought Norwich tickets before, or they bought them off Norwich fans-unless the ticketing system doesn't work? We have the same requirement as Forest for bigger games where away fans might try buying in home sections or as in this case away sections. You can’t impose it for every game as nobody would be able to start watching! Edited January 29 by Commonsense Spelling

A time when darts, coins and other objects were thrown between groups of rival fans across the Barclay. When fighting was expected and fans p****** themselves rather than lose their standing place. No thank you.
