' ere ref, I'm telling you.....if I can catch you

Saw him in one of those 60's shows a few years back. Bald as an egg which drew a few gasps and he sensibly took it easy with those mid-air splits

I saw Freddie and the Dreamers at Yarmouth in the late 60's when I was 7 or 8 years old. My parents offered me the choice of them or Rolf Harris.

Knowing what I know now, it was probably the right choice. 🤔

I saw them too, but maybe the 1972 show with Basil Brush and Mike Yarwood. I have a vague recollection of them being in a car with a speeded up back-projection of a road, but this same brain also thinks it saw Morcambe and Wise in Yarmouth in another Summer show...checks Google; ABC Theatre, summer 1967.

Yarmouth's not got quite the same pull these days.

To be honest, I cannot remember the venue but it may have been The Windmill. I will ask my mother if she can remember.

Haha it reminded me a little of that FIFA game on the Mega Drive where you could run away from the ref if he tried to book you but he would keep chasing you all over the pitch till he did so... except this was the other way around!
