Big Vince 319 Posted September 10, 2023 (edited) The documents I have received in the post say that Delia, Wynnie and Mr Norfolk are holding an end of summer concert party. Do we know where this is taking place? Earlham Park? Hyde Park? Do we know who the headline act is going to be and if there is a main pyramid at the venue? Who is going to be appearing in the legends slot? Are we allowed to ask questions before buying tickets, as we have no idea regarding the musical tastes of Delia, Wynnie and Mr Norfolk? Or do we have to shut up, buy the ticket and get whatever is served up? Actually, reading the small print, something was mentioned about Footloose. That's all a bit 1980s, isn't it? A Load of Squit 5,221 Posted September 10, 2023 Well, we all know from her interview with the Times in 2021 that Delia is a big thrash metal fan, I'd be expecting to see Steps headlining. Wynnie loves his country and western, he'll probably go for the Stone Roses. From his Wiki page I'd say that Attanasio would go for Nick Cave. The obvious venue would be the Auction Mart at Acle. Only one act would fill the legends slot, Liz Truss.

keelansgrandad 6,679 Posted September 10, 2023 Well Delia would have Norman Cook as DJ. MWJ would have, thanks to his Dad, Alan Parsons Project.

With massive apologies to William Shakespeare: Shall I compare Zoe to an Executive Director She art more expensive yet less successful: High wages do shake the budget of Norwich City And the Premier League’s lease hath all too short a date; Sometime too hot the eye of Stuart shines, And often is 100% of his attention dimm'd; And every signing from abroad sometime declines, By being completely unsuitable for the way we play; But thy eternal salary shall not fade, Nor lose possession of that job despite thy husband leaving; Nor shall Ipswich brag thou wander’st in his shade, When in promotion thy bonus grow’st: So long as men can breathe or eyes can see, I’ll still be posting on the Pink Un complaining about her 1

Blackadder is actually a universally disliked character, funny that, he's also a self interested ** ....... getting the picture YOU have painted? Baldrick is the one who wins out. Plus, Blackadder is also Mr Bean . Still proud of yourself? Sweary filter is learning. Shame you don't. Edited September 11, 2023 by wcorkcanary

Just don't slag off Macbeth or @TheDarkKnight will be on you before you can shout 'Billy Gilmour!' Actually, I sort of agree about R&J. It's obviously juvenilia and old Shakey got a lot better. But the best bits (their first meeting, the 'balcony' scene and the morning after the night before) are just magic. And Baz Luhrmann carefully puts them all in his brilliant film of the play with DiCaprio and Claire Danes, cutting out almost all the dead wood.

Read R&J at school along with Henry V. Liked the latter, hated the former. Still maintain Sophie's World should become required reading for English at GCSE, actually.
