That goon mouthing off at Hernandez

Recommended Posts

Couldn’t see/hear from where I was in the upper Barclay, but my son was near enough to hear - think the guy was having a go at Sara and Onel about how crap we are, he’s paying for it etc. Onel came over at the end of the game to talk to him - something he didn’t have to do.

Let's make his new contract a five year deal then

To be fair, that would still be far better value to the club than the money spent on Rashica and Tzolis.

Tzolis hasn't had a fair crack,

And Rashica is currently playing with Icardi, Oliveria, Zaniolo, Mertens, Mata, Demir, Torriera, Gomis and about to win a Turkish Super League.

But yeah, you're right it's great news resigning a player who lets be honest, if someone said in August, he was starting week in, week out from January, we'd say you were mad.

We’ve got a lot of goons at the moment. They seem to revel in this atmosphere.

Got one behind me him who’s had it in for Teemu for a couple of seasons now. Will be having a quiet word before last game of season …not having the likes of him spoil me giving him a great send off .

Behave.

Anyway, that wasn't my point.

People moaning about Hernandez getting a new contract when he is a useful impact player at this level, seem to forget we have spunked relatively huge money on players who haven't even been a bit-part of the squad.

Whatever reason you want to believe for that is up to you, but it doesn't hide the fact Onel has clearly been a far better investment for the club.

I think the bloke was having a go at Sara when he was taking a corner and Onel took exception. Onel came over after the game to have a word and patch things up, to be fair he got a good reception  from the supporters, he does at least seem to care (Not as much as Webber of course)...........

Sad to hear. Players generally can't help their performance. They always want to be the best they can be. One is Norwich through and through.

It astounds me that players have to be played for some fans to consider he's had a "fair crack".

He has to earn that "fair crack" by what he does in training. Given three managers have quickly assessed him lacking, it has to be assumed he's not earned the right on the training field to have the privilege of playing.

In other words - let's stop making excuses for a group of players and individuals. Each and every player has had ample opportunity to show they're worth a go in a team filled with players who have been found wanting, week in week out

Far too simplistic,

Firstly your surmising that he doesn't train well, neither did Berbatov, Adel Taarbt, Ronaldinho - Ledley King didn't train at all!

Secondly, surely you'd agree that it makes sense to play a player in their natural position than to shoehorn a Sargent or Idah in there?

I just want to see Tzolis be given 5-6 games worth of 90 minutes - especially when we have a player who has done nothing and doesn't even belong to us, playing on the other wing.

He only ever seemed to get a chance when everyone was playing poorly.

No it's not simplistic. You get opportunities by impressing in training. That's how it works.

All the players you quote are exceptional, world class talents. To put Tzolis on a pedestal with them is an utter nonsense.

No one deserves a spot in the team just because. That's simplistic, naive and entirely stupid thing to say.

Marquinhos - by the way - plays on the right and Tzolis plays on the left. So the appropriate comparison is with Onel. Who has been one of the sole bright spots of the Wagner era thus far. So what you're saying is you want to drop the most in form player we have to give Tzolis "a chance" he appears not to have earnt?

A really bizarre take.

Or on the pitch, to be fair. Point is, he hasn’t particularly impressed either way.

As supporters, we have to hope he has a really good summer and the player that has so far been largely hidden comes shining through…

It's obviously relevant to the level they're playing at isn't it? And again, your only surmising aren't you?

And again, Sargent or Idah aren't left or rights are they? Yet they been shoehorned on both wings all season, so trying Tzolis at right wing is hardly the most 'out there' call of the year

What has Onel done exactly? The fact that he 'has been one of our bright spots' (only in patches by the way, he's been largely as ineffective as the rest of our frontline) hardly makes him first name on the team sheet. Plus we've played a vast amount of games in a short period, so rotation should have been natural.
