The magic of the FA Cup.

Which idiot made this rule?

This will be the biggest event since the club moved to Bottom Meadow, Sandurst, and will be shown around the country on ITV4.

With prices increased by £10 on usual league matches, the club owner took to Twitter to explain the decision.

He said: "Ticketing costing clarification this is reflective of us having to put the entire Ipswich team and staff up for the night in a hotel on the outskirts of London; we cannot do this on a £15 ticket! Stewards Policing etc, come at a massive cost to a small club like ours."

Even if it is a requirement for the FA Cup you would league clubs visiting non-league ones would reimburse them their costs. If the Binners don’t do it this would confirm what a tawdry little club they have become. I couldn’t imagine the Cobbold brothers not doing this.

We're all watching 👀

But I guess the local businesses that got ripped off through the binners administration may feel they still have a claim on any spare cash...

Maybe the Ipswich fans should do so given that they have recently been able to watch 3 home games for £45?

They were overcharged by about £40.

Why have they got to stay in a hotel? Its about a 2 hour drive from Ipswich to Bracknell, They could be home by 1am. And they have all day to travel there before the game.

What the hell is it coming to? And are Ipswich going to put their full team out?

It’s odd - Ipswich to Sandhurst is a little over 2 hours by road. Why on earth do they need a stopover?

Edit - I was typing as Keelan posted, great minds and all that!

How much say do the clubs have in terms of kick off times for TV games? And how is the cash dealt out?

If it mainly goes to the home team could Ipswich have insisted on expenses for the late kick off as Bracknell were pocketing a wedge of TV money?

Either way hope they embarrass themselves on TV!

He is right but has worded it poorly.

For all Cup matches expenses are deducted before distribution of net profit. Gatemen, medical, police, floodlighting & travel / accomm for visiting team are all standard expenses that eat into any profit..

Ten years ago the FAC tie between Norwich & Orient saw £191,000 gates receipts cut by roughly £40k in expenses & pool payment, leaving approx £150k to split between clubs

They get £50000 each in tv appearance money according to the FA website.
