Tzolis Out For 2 Months

Recommended Posts

If he wasn’t so expensive relative to his ability I’d be so unbothered by this. As it is I’m ever so slightly more than totally unbothered, verging into ‘meh’ territory.

At the end of the day it's better for us if he improves and develops this season. Either he can slot back in here next season, or be sold for a better price.

"...Should've left him at heathrow" 🎶?

Nice idea for a chant, that! 🙂

I'm actually a fan of his, despite this post - honest!

Let's face it, the Greek media hyped up their young player like the English media do and we bought into the hype.

He's fat and slow.

Pretty much this. He is definitely a stone or so overweight. Unforgiveable for a professional athlete, especially at 19 years old!

Is it fat or muscle though? I always thought he spent a lot of time in the gym. A bit like Onel. Tzolis inherently lacks pace, which you can't train unfortunately.

His face looks a bit puffy for it to be muscle.

Wingers don't have to be inherently thin and fast to be effective depending on the gameplan. Yes, if you're asking them to beat the wingers every time and get crosses in it's a problem, but neither Cantwell or Buendia were quick for us under Farke and still did plenty of good. I'm not sure he fits into Smith's current gameplan as it stands.

John Robertson under Cloughie at Forest comes to mind!

Brian Clough, Robertson's manager at Nottingham Forest, said: "John Robertson was a very unattractive young man. But give him a ball and a yard of grass, and he's an artist, the Picasso of our game." In his autobiography, Clough noted that "Rarely could there have been a more unlikely professional athlete... [He was] slovenly, inadequate, and disinterested... but something told me he was worth persevering with." but that "He became one of the best football delivery men I've ever seen - in Britain or anywhere else in the world - as well as the gifted Brazilians or Italians."

Great player and I remember  him well
