cornish sam 1,039 Posted July 11, 2022 I wondered the same when I saw that... At the very least exceptionally selfish of him to try and claim the goal.
Inch High aka Inchy.. 417 Posted July 11, 2022 I've watched it a few times but still can't decide.
Google Bot 3,929 Posted July 11, 2022 That's very bizarre isn't it, the goal line is a bit mis-shapen too. He said this on twitter: Yet there's replies suggesting he was part of match fixing... I can't believe that, though, people reading in to it far too much.
Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Man 4,615 Posted July 12, 2022 I can't see how it would be match-fixing. Surely if you're going to do that, you wouldn't make it so bloody obvious and arouse suspicion?

horsefly 5,301 Posted July 12, 2022 Something else! Everything about it stinks. The effort he makes to get behind a ball clearly crossing the line, the angle of his boot etc, etc, suggests a potential spread-betting concern needs to be investigated.
ricardo 8,034 Posted July 12, 2022 That's an obvious clearance not a tap over the line. Blokes a wrong'un.

Gibbo 131 Posted July 12, 2022 Is it an artificial pitch? Looks like it's all puckered up around where the goal line, so it may be down to a part slip / part ball changing direction unexpectedly (maybe a different camera angle would show it changing course, as it looks a bit like he's maybe intending to smash it with the outside of the boot, rather than hook it like he does). On the surface and from that angle though, it does look well dodgy! 😄
alex_ncfc 686 Posted July 12, 2022 That's dodgy as. If he missed a wide open net like he said, why didn't he collapse to his knees in embarrassment? Also, ball looked over the line to me anyway.
keelansgrandad 6,680 Posted July 12, 2022 Why did he have to touch it? He doesn't look like he was trying to score. One for Question of Sport.
