I can't see how it would be match-fixing. Surely if you're going to do that, you wouldn't make it so bloody obvious and arouse suspicion?

Something else! Everything about it stinks. The effort he makes to get behind a ball clearly crossing the line, the angle of his boot etc, etc, suggests a potential spread-betting concern needs to be investigated.

Is it an artificial pitch?  Looks like it's all puckered up around where the goal line, so it may be down to a part slip / part ball changing direction unexpectedly (maybe a different camera angle would show it changing course, as it looks a bit like he's maybe intending to smash it with the outside of the boot, rather than hook it like he does).  On the surface and from that angle though, it does look well dodgy! 😄

That's dodgy as. If he missed a wide open net like he said, why didn't he collapse to his knees in embarrassment?

Also, ball looked over the line to me anyway.
