We could just get David McNally back

Why not?

I'd quite like an executive who can just quietly get on with the job, which doesn't seem to fit McNally or Webber at this point.

Yesterday we had a thread calling for Rhodes to be re-signed, this evening we've had one pining for Klose and now this (although I think this one may be a little tongue in cheek).

We're only a couple of days from a 'come home Oli Johnson' thread.

'Bring back Michael Spillane!'

To be fair when Webber was quietly getting on with his job everyone was on here criticising radio silence.

No one wants an executive who "quietly gets on with the job" when things are going badly.

And people say my threads are bad.. I mean they are but that's not the point

To be fair, Webber has made a rod for his own back to a certain extent.

Neil Doncaster's available isn't he?

I assume you realise that he's been Scottish footballs top boy for 13 years?

I agree, but its a more general comment. Look at McNally on social media, trying to interact with fans but as soon as things went bad that was ripped apart.

Look at whenever a failing sporting director or CEO comes out and talks to fans - it all goes badly even though the fans demand for communication for months.

Getting on with it quietly doesn't mean no communication, it means not making yourself the news.

Personally I don't want my Chief Exec to be on twitter, its destined to go badly. Similarly the issue with this current Webbee situation isn't that he's talking to the media- he did this after the last relegation and I thought he generally did it well- it's that he's making it all about Stuart Webber.

Largely if you're planning on giving 90% and you'd be happy to leave the job it's probably best to keep that to yourself.

We have a ready-made replacement for Webber in Neil Adams.

He might not have been much of a manager for us, but in every other aspect of his many years of connection with NCFC he has, as far as I can see, been quite exemplary. From player through to the handling of youth in various roles.

No 90% there. He is as much a Mr. NCFC as any others in the past. He's no fool, the Queen of Norwich clearly approves of him, and he's loyal. Furthermore, he would, imo, know much more about actual "football" than the present incumbent clearly does, and he couldn't possibly be more frivolous with transfer market money.

Roll up Neil. Bye Stuart.

Surely that should be Hello Neil!
