Branston Pickle 4,149 Posted January 8, 2022 Just wondered whether people thought we’d go as strong as we can tomorrow…I’m inclined to think that players coming back from injury/illness might benefit from a start, but it’ll probably be a bit of a mix. I’d probably go: Krul, Byram, Dimi, Hanley, Gibson, Sorensen, McLean, Gilmour, Rashica, Pukki, Tzolis,
GJL Mid-Norfolk Canary 2,035 Posted January 8, 2022 We may have done had the west ham game not been shoehorned into midweek, now who knows? One things for sure , if Newcastle with a near 1st team in front of 50k home fans can lose against a mid tabe league one team, we most certainly will if we think we can turn up there with a weakened team and swan about. cambridgeshire canary 7,797 Posted January 8, 2022 I imagine the players coming back from injury and covid will play for at least 45 before being taken off at half time (or will be played in the second half) so with that in mind here's my first half team.. tricky974 63 Posted January 8, 2022 We need to get our players actually playing well together and also some of our players could do with the confidence of getting a goal, just as a poor performance against a league one club could be even worse for us, a dominant performance maybe just what we need. paddycanary 579 Posted January 9, 2022 Teemu should be kept in reserve imo Very tricky to pick the team for this one. Despite our recent struggles, my blind optimism is expecting a reasonably comfortable 2-0 win.

I agree, we’re as good as relegated, but anyone with a little good fortune can win the Cup. This should be our priority in my opinion. A good old fashioned cup run - can’t beat em. Edit - we’ll still lose in a demoralising way though. Edited January 9, 2022 by Coneys Knee

Mason 47 1,924 Posted January 9, 2022 I doubt Rashica will start after a big-ish injury. Hopefully have a bit of a cushion to give him 30 minutes. Gunn Byram Kabak Gibson Dimi PLM Sorenson McLean Placheta Tzolis Idah Despite poor form there's no reasonable way this team loses to League One opposition

However, being the only club in the bottom 4 to have an extra game -probably something calamitous like Man City away- would be the least helpful result and so most likely to happen to us.
