Warnock made a good point in an interview recently...

Recommended Posts

That every time a manager leaves a club, no matter who that manager is, and whether on their own accord or when sacked, there are always players that are happy about that and others that are unhappy about that. And that's coming from a manager who has always been adept at building a good dressing room spirit and getting his players working hard for him.

The same will be true in this Norwich squad won't it. There might be players who are optimistic that the change might give them another chance to impress, and might be a few others who are worried about what it means for their place in the side.

You would think that this might be bad news for Zimmermann and possibly Mclean and/or Rupp, but that Cantwell and Sorenson will be pretty keen to impress a new manager, and that McCallum and Hernandez might be watching on from afar with some interest?

It was telling that Cantwell said they didn't always see eye-to-eye, but then you had senior players like Krul, Pukki and Gibson all being complimentary along with the expected youngsters in Aarons, Idah, and Omobamidele.

Farke's demonstrated in the past that he was more than happy to cut ties when needed - iron fist in a velvet glove territory.

Yeah, Rupp and Zimmerman will be worried, as will Mclean.

Meawhile Gilmour and Cantwell were spotted partying up all night celebrating

Tzolis provided the ouzo and Sörensen brought the aquavit.

I think this will be the acid test for Kenny McLean which he will pass with flying colours

for Kenny McLean see John McGinn

All I can say is that Cantwell and Gilmour better deliver now, if they are picked after being unhappy at Farke not picking them and presumably being part of the behind the scenes difficulties.

Are you sure that’s ‘all’ you can say?  Experience suggests otherwise😀

I suppose if they don't we will be getting another sermon or three from you. For the record I do not believe a single word about the likes of Cantwell and Gilmour being behind the sacking of Daniel Farke, and I am surprised you give these rather spurious opinions any credence.........

I wasn't aware of any rumours until they appeared on here a few minutes ago.  My judgement was based on the fact that neither have featured and there must be a reason for it - I assumed it was that they had fallen foul of Farke for questioning why they weren't playing.

And when the fans start to question that, and probably your boss, you know your days are numbered.

You can get away with it if you win, but player power usually wins in the end.

If Webber honestly sacked Farke on the back of two or three players being unhappy that they aren’t playing then he’s the one who should be sacked for terrible management.

Players in every club get unhappy if they don’t play, its part of the job and you don’t want players who are happy sitting taking the money and not caring if they play.

You don’t sack the manager because of it, certainly not when both players are likely to be away in the summer, if not January, anyway.
