Well not going saves me over £1800 a year as there''s two of us who attend, my wife & I, we have to travel in as we don''t live close enough.

I''m sure there''s a huge number still on the waiting list for season tickets!
I mean to be fair the £7 parking, £3 pie, £5 pint and £3.50 program are all optional.

Cut them out and you''ve saved £18.50. Over 23 home games thats over £420.

I''ve just made your football day ALOT cheaper :)
[:D]

I think there are quite a few fans who feel like this at the moment. Perhaps its a natural cycle with some of us who have been going for years and are not quite getting the same buzz out of the match day experience as we used to for a variety of reasons (whether its other things taking precedence/putting things in perspective, the attitude of the club/owners, the way the game as a whole has changed). Don''t get me wrong I still love going but save for the odd really exciting game its not quite what it was at the moment.

I can''t quite bring myself to give up the season ticket yet but I suspect over the next few seasons my attendance levels will be low given three kids and a 6 hour round trip for every game. Hopefully when the boys are older and I can take them with me to games I will rediscover some of that youthful excitement.

Good on ya Indy. I know you''ve hated it for the past five years and I have to say I''m surprised you carried on spending that money for so long without getting any enjoyment from it. I''m sure you''ll enjoy spending that time with your wife doing something you like more and now someone else can go to games who might enjoy it as I assume you did all those years ago.
Jim, what point were you trying to make about these ticket prices?
Merely that its hypocritical for a club owner to be spouting off in the media about ticket prices being too high and fans not being taken into consideration (and being praised by Winter for her stance) whilst at the same time presiding over a club that for the last few years has charged away fans some pretty scandalous prices and is now also revealed to have the most expensive cheapest season tickets in the division.

The irony of course is that its the premier league wealth that Delia bemoans that is actually enabling premier league teams to cut/cap their ticket prices and that if we don''t get up in the next 18 months its the lack of those evil premier league revenues that will ultimately make us far more reliant on ticket revenues than we are now!

How many of our season tickets are at this cheapest price Jim? There''s no irony there I''m afraid. It''s just you not looking past the headline...

You won''t win Jim, nutty no need to be an arse, I''m choosing not to renew as I''ve had enough........you and others keep on going, enjoy it, I''m sure as this season if I want to go to a game there will be tickets available.

I believe this board are holding this club back, you love them, that''s fine, it sums some of you supporters up, static and afraid of change.....risk is too much for you.

I''m bored with this now, I have far more fun when it''s not a football weekend so that to me tells me time to stop.

Nope, I''ll be a vocal as I want, the loves fest on here would be boring without us, there would just be 7 posters patting each other on the back and saying how rosy everything in the City garden is, how saint delia needs a statue outside the ground for saving us!

Is it just straight to the footy and straight home, or do you meet up with friends and do other stuff?Reason I ask is that, from my point of view, the 90 minutes is actually a very small part of the day. Football is part of my social life, I meet up for lunch pre game, and we all meet in the pub post game. And win or lose, we all generally have a pretty good time.I''d miss that a lot more than I''d miss the actual 90 minutes!

Was just being as pedantic as Dunc, but there are a few on here who would love it if it was their group....

Used to be great, two friends emegrayed down under about 6 years ago, one very close friend passed away 5 years ago, but still meet up with a good bunch who we socialise with outside the football.

It''s always a 6 hour business by the time you travel, park, meet up, back to the car, sit for an hour listening to canary call.....it''s good.

Like I said for the past two years when we''re not got footy we do things which both of us find more fun, golf, walks with the dog, and more. It''s at the point where we don''t go for football but just to meet up pre game.

Wouldn''t surprise me if Delia had a statue of her with a microphone and MWJ with fag outside the Riverend restaurant.

Would be something to remember them by once they hand over to Tom.

Brilliant, yep believe it, as if there wouldn''t have been someone else! Had they not jumped in to buy, do you seriously think the club would no longer be here? Really?

I''m not being anything Indy. I''m genuinely pleased that you''ve stopped spending such an awful lot of money on something that makes you miserable. Life''s too short. May the saddest day of your future be no worse than the happiest day of your past....

Does anyone really get the same match day experience and buzz now that they did, say 20 years ago? The mute atmosphere inside the ground where there is a good 10,000 more people now than there was then suggests not. For several years now I''ve been losing interest in football as a whole. This is nothing to do with falling out of interest with Norwich but more the over saturation of the game and the numbing down of the experience.

I love it. It''s different that''s all. Like everything''s different. Is there anything the same as it was years ago? Is a trip up the city the same? A night down the pub? What about a day at the coast, how does that compare?

I think you''re right Nutty, the last 12 years football has been the time I have spent with Nana, looking back we have built some great memories and I''ve spent quality time with him. we both now feel that football is a routine rather than something we really look forward to. I have been ready to throw in my season ticket for the last 2 seasons but as he''s wanted to go we''ve continued now he''s interest and enjoyment is diminishing, it''s time for us to move over and let somebody else enjoy the times.

we will still "support" the club but will probably pick and choose our matches - but we can spend quality time on the golf course on a Saturday afternoon.

By the way Indy where do you play? maybe we can meet up for a game. - even start the pinkun golf society!! if others are interested.
