Good luck everyone and a happy Christmas.I don''t think I''ve picked a draw all season but I''m fairly confident Villa v West ham (at 21/10) will happen. (I think a 0-0 at 15/2 is possible but don''t want to push my luck.)For the Norwich game I hope Parma is right but, so as not to jinx it, I''m going for a score draw (at 9/2).
Great idea, I love these bets. My season forecast (42 points in total) anticipates only getting 3 points in all home & away games against: Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool & Everton. Therefore I''ll happily contribute £5 for every extra point gained against these teams over and above 3 points.
We may not have won the big prize (£510) today but after draws against Liverpool, Arsenal & Everton today''s win will at least generate £15. It''s on its way to you NN. Incidentally, in my 42 points for the season I had us having 17 points after 17 games. Spooky isn''t it?

£15 or £20 million. Go get Charlie Austin

Sky Sports are reporting that Austin has said he won''t leave QPR in January, despite his contract having only 6 months left. -
Really happy that on the match bet, unlucky Kathy with wigan and Barcelona, two bizarre results there. A match bet choice for next week might be Ht man u / ft norwich pays 66-1, man u have never lost a match in pl at old trafford when they''ve led at half time. Maybe heart ruling head but would love us to be the team that did it first. We proved against Arsenal and Everton we can come back.
That looks like a good one-off special, so have sent you £10 as a "special".As I''m not having any luck with draws this season I hope this makes a contribution.

Parma's Tactics Masterclass 10
wooster replied to Parma Ham's gone mouldy's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Yes the points are well made, most however have already been made, generally in common English. I enjoy your analysis, not sure why you adopt such a verbose use of language which requires picking through the text to actually get to the meaning, but that''s your choice of course. I trust you don''t converse in the same way as you write?😄
Au contraire - I hope Parma does speak like this. It''s good to see someone unashamed to use the language fully and intelligently, including pertinent Latin phrases. I''m tired of being told that we should be inclusive to the point of monosyllabism. -
Nutty,Before the season started my prediction had us on 13 points after 12 games, so not far off reality despite the dropped points we all can recollect. In the next 7 games, based on last season''s or previous performances and relative strengths I had us winning at Watford, beating Villa at home and drawing with Spurs and Everton.Admittedly, Watford''s season has gone better than expected - because they bought virtually a whole new squad - and Villa now have a new manager who may have an impact. But it looks like we''re learning as well - which points up how fatuous pre-season forecasts are, though they''re still fun. So I''m sticking with 8 points though they may not occur as originally forecast.

I remember a football aficionado friend of mine saying why on earth was Norwich going to the Etihad in the ''13/14 trying to defend. We lost 7-0 and got everything we deserved given our approach. I prefer AN''s more Lambert-like approach and whilst its naivety has been exposed in the last few games I hope with time it will be tempered with a modicum of caution and pragmatism without going to the Hughton extreme.

Expecting some of you to get 10 out of 10 on this
wooster replied to Pete Raven's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
More my era so I expected to do well but I only got 7/10 - 1, 5 & 9 incorrect. Good fun, thanks. -
I have one adult and one U17 ticket for this game that my son and I are unable to use. Is anyone interested? The tickets cost £20 - I don''t want anything for them but a £15 donation to Nigel''s PuPs fund would be good.

And they fall like dominoes...
wooster replied to Canary Wundaboy's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I felt for Paul Lambert today on MotD2 when Henry Winter & Alan Shearer were discussing possible replacements at Sunderland and mentioned Allardyce, Dyche & Pearson but not Lambert himself. I''d be concerned if Sunderland appoint Allardyce as that will probably take them out of the bottom 3 (at least by the end of the season). -
My history teacher once told us that if you draw a line between the two extreme points of the Austro-Hungarian empire and then extend it westwards it will pass through Stoke Ferry. Not many people know that .......

Parma's Tactics Masterclass 9
wooster replied to Parma Ham's gone mouldy's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Another really interesting thread Parma, thank you. Agree with the views on Jarvis and I hope we do all we can to keep him. On Ruddy, he seemed more commanding against Liverpool than West Ham though, in his defence, if that big lump Carroll hadn''t got in the way of his punch it would have been a different result. -
Thought the West Ham fans were very friendly today and very helpful to me & my son after the game. I would have happily taken a point before the game and, overall, a draw was a fair result. It was a good game to watch and Norwich certainly played with elan. Having seen them at Sunderland and Liverpool there is a confident theme recurring - though I don''t understand what we saw at Southampton. It seems to me that Mbokani needs more PL game time and the jury is still out.

As others have said, well done to Vintage 93 and Bor Bor Bor last week ..... .... and the best of luck to CityAngel and ClareW this week. My picks are for information only - I''ve not got many right so far and I''m not sure about this week either. Anyway, I''m going for: Leicester - Arsenal, draw currently at 14/5 West Ham - Norwich, draw currently at 23/10.
