  1. Because its been decided that he''s on his way. No point speculating.
  2. Both should''ve scored more but both are restricted by our manager. Doesn''t play to their strengths a lot of the time. Hence the lack of goals. Hence why we will have a new manager come August 2014.
  3. Really don''t get all this pro Hughton stuff after one win against a very poor side. Anyway, Hughton''s a goner so no point in speculating. A change will happen this summer.
  4. One result against a poor Sunderland side hasn''t been enough to save him. Rightly so. Whatever happens come the 11th May, Hughton is gone.
  5. The board know he''s off. He knows he''s off. All done.
  6. So many debates about Hughton staying or going in the summer. Should just say, whatever happens, whether we''re a Premier League or Championship team next season, Hughton will not be our manager come August 2014. I can absolutely guarantee you that. 100%. Nailed on. Have a good day. Cheers.
  7. For every Sunderland, Hull, Palace win there''s been: A poor performance or result at Southampton, at Hull, at Spurs, at Arsenal, Cardiff home & away, Man City away, Newcastle away, Liverpool away, Fulham home, Everton away, Cardiff away, West Ham away. Hughton isn''t the man for the job, in my opinion. He''s quite clearly not good enough and we must progress. It''s all about the ambition of the club. If that ambition is just to battle relegation year after year then Hughton IS the right man, because that''s all he can do. Whereas if we want to finish in the top half, fight for europe, then Hughton quite clearly ISN"T the man. It''s time to progress now. We''ve been up for three years, if we survive this year. It''s time to move on and achieve more than just staying up. People who say ''But we''re only little Norwich'' - it''s all about ambition.
  8. Just in answer to the OP - I''m right here. I''m not a Hughton hater, I just want him out because he''s not good enough. YES, EVEN after Saturday''s result. In the words of the amazing Sam Cooke: A change is gonna come.
  9. It''s all about ambition. As Ferguson said in his book: Some are happy with a holiday 20 miles from home, some are happy to just stay at home, but others want to go to the moon. Hughton said we''d struggle before the season started so it can come as no surprise to him that we''ve struggled. The night before our 0-0 draw with Cardiff he told Geoff Shreeves of Sky that he needed to "dampen the expectations of the fans and players with regards to what we can achieve". That same weekend Southampton beat Fulham 3-0 at home. After the game Pochettino told Sky that there was "no limit to what his players can achieve this season". Time to move on from our Championship manager. We need better. We deserve better. It''s all about ambition.
  10. Absolutely not. Time to move on. Similar to when Stoke parted with Pulis. We need a change and this summer is the ideal time. We will never score goals under Chris Hughton. We will always struggle against relegation too, with him in charge. Also @LDC - I''ve recently wondered whether you were a bit of a kn*b, your use of the word ''simples'' goes a long way to proving I was absolutelycorrect.
  11. No, the clubs target was 10th. Bowkett made that clear in the summer. He shouldn''t have done, but he did. When our performances and results suffered badly they altered this target from 10th to just staying up, which means at least 17th, I suppose. Hughton is as good as gone, whatever happens between now and May. And rightly so too.
  12. It seems RvW can''t be judged on his lack of goals for some reason. Weird.
  13. Amazing how pundits can give you a view on your team after only watching snippets of our games. They should try following us home & away all season and then they can see why we are complaining. Shearer''s comment was ridiculous. One result and good performance against a very poor relegation bound side isn''t enough to make me forget the utter dross we''ve had to put up with under Chris Hughton for the past two years. Shearer and Hughton are mates. They''re in contact, maybe not regularly but they are friends, so I think Shearer is bound to stick up for Chris. Hughton will still leave in the summer. I''m sure of that. Shearer''s hardly the best person to comment on managers anyway. He managed one club for a short spell and already has a relegation on his CV. Yet the man still expects to walk in to a top job.
  14. McNally won''t like this drop in his reputation. Whenever I''ve seen him interviewed, for the first time he''s looked like a man who doesn''t know what to do for the best. I believe a large part of him wishes he''d had the guts to sack Hughton months ago. Alas, he didn''t and we struggle against relegation yet again. Hughton was lucky with the 11th place finish. We were two games off relegation last year. That''s as much of a fact as the 11th place finish. DM''s comments about fans are patronising. I''ve long felt that players, managers and CEO''s think that fans will swallow any old rubbish. I very rarely listen or watch player interviews, manager interviews or interviews with Chief Execs because they are all full of flannel and the same old cliches.
  15. LDC - A rallying call on here won''t make me cheer and shout any louder than I normally do.

  18. I said it on another thread today, but supporters who feel it''s their job to rally other fans are just attention seeking idiots.
  19. My argument is, yes I think the crowd plays a part, but I don''t think you can blame the crowd for bad performances, bad results and our dangerous league position. Hughton needs to pull his socks up and start doing his job properly, then maybe the fans will be a bit louder.
  20. Haha I do hate it when fans feel it''s their job to give other fans a rallying call, to motivate them for the upcoming game. I''ll do what I always do, which includes shouting and cheering and having a pie. The result, and how hard we try, really is up to Hughton and the players...
