  1. If you lot aren''t moaning about Worthy''s tactics and Huckerby missing a penalty you are moaning about the forum    Only joking guys I have been off the boards for ages and have just come back on to see loads of this kind of thing you guys have mentioned and it is sad.   I didn''t even realise that 1st Wiz had left!!!  We must get him back he kept me entertained for hours. Don''t let all the people that sit on the fence and only come up with statements like - support the team instead of moaning - look how much we have acheived under Worthy etc. etc., drive you off the boards, I enjoy the debate that goes on between Fatman, Zipper, DDiM, Mook, Fillet, weston, Vicar, gorleston jim, saint canary, XXL, plastic scouser.... ooohhh   Henderson just hit the cross bar and Huckerby missed the follow up, we are at least attacking though, come on Hendo!!! where was I, oh yes, all the other regulars that post constructive, in offensive posts, keep it up and those that have nothing to say will soon bugger off.
  2. shame left back isn''t a problem, with Brennan and Drury both fit, we need midfielders.   I like the idea of Louis Jean as right wing that someone mentioned as he was very quick there against Inter in the friendly and got some good crosses in.
  3. I like that on paper too, but the risk you are running there is two players having to play 90 minutes in a very competitive game that have just recovered from injury - Charlton and Hughes.   I would rather play 100% fit players and have them as options for the second half.
  4. good point there zipper I take that onboard and agree that Drury would probably be better for aerial stuff, however has he ever played in a central role?   If he has then I agree, but if not we know Colin has and is more likely to play better.   I know these are professional footballers, but we all know what happens to Norwich players when they are played out of position, they lose the ability to pass, communicate and tackle.
  5. I hope he plays this 4-4-2                                 Green Louis-Jean          Colin             Doherty          Drury Henderson         Jarrett            R Jarvis          Huckerby                        McVeigh         Ashton leaving Brennan and 3 goal keepers as subs, lol. Alternatively we could see this   4-3-1-2                                 Green Louis-Jean           Colin            Doherty         Drury              Henderson     Jarrett      Brennan                                        Huckerby (free role)                      McVeigh          Ashton
  6. Good point raised there, a lot of our injuries do seem to be sustained at colney, my Dad commented on that on the way to the game Saturday, but I was in my positive pre-match mind set and just dismissed his comment. Is Worthy''s focus on fitness, fitness, fitness actually overworking some players with niggling injuries and therefore making them more prone to injury?   Overuse injury is very common because players  lie about their condition because they want to play.   Coaches have to be able to recognise posible injuries even when the player says he is fine and perhaps our current coaches are too focused on fitness they are missing the little signs, just a thought?!??!
  7. oh, then please accept my humble apologies I have been away from the message boards for a long time and have returned to hear lots of people having a go at the people that dare to criticise the board and Worthy and confused you as one of them, sorry. There are a lot of posters on here that simply wait for the usual suspects to moan, so they can have a go at them and tell them to be proper fans and get behind the club.  They never offer anything constructive to the debate, just blind loyalty to Worthy.
  8. what''s funny about your post, that I have only just realised, is that you couldn''t agree more with Dick, who has pointed out that our progress as a first team squad over the last two and a bit seasons is pathetic to say the least.   Having agreed with that, you go on to tell us to stop the whingeing.   classic.
  9. Yellow shrimper: why is it than when you don''t agree with someone elses opinion it is easier to call them a whinger?  Why can''t you constructively debate from your side of the fence? We are all NCFC fans and all want the club to do well, however some of us see glaringly obvious mistakes and inabilities and we choose to exercise our freedom of speach and talk about them.   Some of us talk about them to gain fellow agreement from our peers which makes us feel better about ourselves.   Some of us just like to get frustrations off our chest.  Some of us probably think that if enough of us talk about the same mistakes then Worthy might acutally get the hint.   Some of us probably just like a good old fashioned argument.   At the end of the day though we are all behind the team for 90 minutes every match.   We all want to see every single player busting his gut and the Manager making the best decisions he can. If we all listened to your contribution to the messageboard, which is get on with the job and stop whingeing, then this would be a pretty pointless place to come and read and debate and be a fan.  Stop hoping for the best and sitting on the fence, get a decent argument behind you and fight it with a passion.   That''s the only way to succeed in life, relying on others to do the job for you, so you can say see I told you everything would be okay is boring and very, very risky.  If Worthy gets us promoted again this season, I will stand by the fact that he is a moderately decent manager, with a better than average squad at his disposal.   He has made mistakes and it is our right as paying fans to discuss them.
  10. The squad and experience we have of this and the top flight we should definitely be in the play offs.   We should be top two, but that looks increasingly more unlikely.
  11. As always I agree with the more sensible constructive posters - ZLF, Fatman, Mook, Yankee etc. Someone mentioned boo''ing at half time  - I sit in the Barclay and there was a lot of boo''ing, but the same fans appauled the team back onto the pitch for the second half.   That is what it''s all about, a message to Worthy and the team that you are not satisfied as they leave the pitch, but then your full support when they come back on. Worthy''s team selection, tactics, persistance with old regulars and use of substitutes has been woeful for two seasons now. Henderson scored twice against Millwall the last time we played them at home, but not only does he opt to play a centre mid out wide right, where Hendo can play, but he only brings Hendo on with 4 minutes of normal time left to play!!!!   What can any player at any level do in 4 minutes?   Also on the Hendo sub point, why did he take off Jarret who was playing better IMO than Charlton? Huckerby looked lost on the right, loads of us were screaming for him to get up the pitch because he was always on the toes of Colin as he came forwards with the ball and the only option was to ping between each other and then play it backwards to Davenport or Doc. The fact is Worthy is demonstrating yet again that HE DOES NOT LEARN from mistakes and something has to be done about it.   Whether this means sacking him or someone giving him a blommin good talking to I don''t know. On a positive Doc is looking good now he is being partnered with someone half decent that takes responsibility for his own area rather than palming everything onto Doc (erm hmm Flemming).  Sorry if that has been discussed in other threads, but I have been off the boards for ages.   Always said Doc would be good for us, just need to make sure that if Davenport returns to Spurs it is Shackell that takes his place and not Flemo.
  12. same here Kent absolutely poor as always, can''t beleive I just paid another £19 for this and I am a season ticket holder
  13. Get Well soon Roy, you have been the voice of Norwich for me over the last two seasons in Stevenage, and I am hoping you soon will be for all those away matches I can''t make this season.
  14. I have an awful feeling Deano and Francis will be teaming up at Wigan together.  I really hope not.
  15. yeah I noticed that Trent, I was surprised at the time the comentators made no mention of it. If you watch Ashley Cole of course is racing with his man and as the ball breaks you see Rio with the other bloke right next to him.   Of course the camera pans to the corner to follow the action and Rio and JD are out of shot, but then as the ball comes across into the box and open goal there is JD with no one on him, the next England shirt to come into view is Joe Cole, what the hell was Rio doing?!??! Anyway for James to admit he was unprepared in the post match interview was a sham and disrespectful to his fellow keeper Green.  How many games has he had, 1?   Green has had 3 proper competitive matches and should have been playing not James.  It''s just like Beckham and Owen playing in the last World cup having just recovered from injuries and not being 100% match fit.  We lost then when fitter, good players sat on the bench watching.   Sven makes my blood boil more than Worthy with his selections.
  16. umm didn''t everyone say how rubbish Helveg was after just two games and then he was promptly dropped.   We then went through a pretty alwful spell until his return when things picked up a little, yes a little, but it was too little too late by then. Lets not make the same mistake and relegate a player to the bench after just two games.  I thought he was pretty much solid against Coventry, but didn''t see the Crewe game.   Deserves at least 4 or 5 games to get a fair trial though surely.  The same with Doc who now looks doomed to the bench for the rest of the season, when he shows more potential to improve than Flem.
  17. excellent post from yellow rider and some really good follow up''s.   I would like to see any of the formations that have been put forward tried out.   Eveyone talks about us having a scary attacking front 3, making it an attacking 5 would be even better and you are right teams would have no choice but to concentrate on defending first and foremost.
  18. oh well 1-1, but a much better game from Saturday by the sounds of it, well played lads OTBC
  19. Marney off for Thorne again!!!   Why? He''s not a winger, get poor knackered Leon off.   I never understand Worthy''s substitutions.
  20. all i''m hearing now is great chance, followed by McKenize losing it.  Time for a sub get Thorne on for him me thinks
  21. Safri making instant impact, come on Yousef
  22. GOAL!!!!       McKenzie,  made up for missing two easy ones earlier, well done Leon. OTBC lets bury them now.
  23. I would also like to see Charlie back at CB as the first half of last season he looked very, very good in that position.   I think Charlie and Shack would be a very organised partnership. One positive that I noticed on Saturday was that our defence was playing much further up the pitch.   In the prem they sat back way too much with Holt right on their toes, but pushed out when we had posession on Saturday much better.   Seriuosly apart from about 6 free kicks, Coventry didn''t have a proper scoring chance in open play, meanwhile we had about 6. Even if Doc and Flem do play for a while I am confident they will develop a good partnership, but Shackell has to come in there somewhere.
