  1. The flip side of that is of the 25mil or so we would receive we could then look to reinvest a fair amount of that back into the team. We would also have shifted a fair amount in wages from other players as well We would probably have a whole new front 4 this time next year!
  2. 2 goals in 2 games from corners? Strange considering we have been relatively solid defensively
  3. Anybody have a rough idea own many points late goals have won us? Ipswich & Hull we scored late equalisers. But can’t remember any others in the last 10minutes or so where we actually gained points?
  4. I see what you mean Nutty, but for example at the time Brentford, Derby, Hull and Sheff Utd were all winning at Carrow Road. This leads to them sitting back, so we dominate the ball even more
  5. It’s one of those stats that’s just a bit silly really. Sure it shows we keep going to the end, but surely the preceding 60 minutes are just as important? The fact we have a negative goal difference is the bigger indicator surely?
  6. On Sunday Murphy seems to be a second behind everybody else. Would happily see Hernandez start tonight to take Murphy out of the firing line - we did it earlier this season and it seemed to have a positive effect on him.
  7. Isn''t it 3 home wins in 6? Not 4? Home wins v Sheff Weds, Millwall & Boro, draw v Ipswich, defeats v Sheff utd & Brentford? Although I completely agree about the Ipswich game. Despite dominating the 2nd half and not letting Ipswich have a kick we still managed to find ourselves behind, and the ONLY shot on target from inside the box was after we had been forced to stick 2 CBs upfront because we were losing. The circumstances felt great,m but still 2 points dropped in my opinion.
  8. Our last 4 home games are probably 4 of the hardest as well - Fulham, Villa, Cardiff and Leeds. All 4 will be fighting for something it seems, either promotion or playoffs. ALTHOUGH because they are fighting they may into our hands and allow us to play how we want to play
  9. Of course, I wouldn''t expect all other teams to drop points either, but if we suddenly jump from 8 points off where we seem to have been for about 5 months now) to 4points off it suddenly comes back into play. Of course its wishful thinking, but surely thats what being a fan is all about?
  10. @capricorn1 We will probably beat Wolves and fail to beat Bolton more like! In all seriousness though, if we can do the unthinkable tomorrow night, coupled with Fulham beating Bristol City, we would be 2 points off 6th place if we beat Bolton. The carrot is still there, but we need some consistency at home massively, especially given our last 4 home games
  11. As King says, but swap Vrancic for Reed to keep us solid in the middle until the 2nd half, then change depending on how the game has gone
  12. What on earth is Walker doing? Almost as bad as the Ipswich keeper yesterday!
  13. Some Ipswich fans seem to think he is destined for Barnsley
  14. Exactly this. I get we may have been in control of the game, dominating possession and Ipswich were looking happy with a 0-0. We still didnt look like scoring though. That doesn''t mean I don''t think earlier changes may have shook things up a bit and given. For example, Reed was playing OK but doesn''t offer the same attacking width as Pinto.
  15. So we aren''t allowed to be critical of anything? I mean, I''m sure you see how ridiculous that is? You have never criticized anything?
  16. Actually, it is. Nobody is making Farke out to be an idiot, but the consensus at the game, after the game, from ex pros etc were that subs were far too late. Trying to claim it was some form of time saving genius is much more ridiculous...
  17. We scored at something like 94:52. The ref added on 5 minutes added time. Both subs were made during the 5 minutes, so therefore we didnt score in the extra time added on for subs. To try and claim its genius is frankly idiotic.
  18. Onel for Murphy yes, but having a winger may bring Nelson back into play. Unfortunately Murphy just doesn''t offer enough at the minute, yesterday he seemed a second behind everybody else
  19. Beat Wolves (long shot I know, but they have exactly been a class above recently, we are better away etc) and Fulham beat Bristol City, we are back to 5 points behind? Then we play Bolton on Saturday & Bristol City are away at Cardiff on Sunday... could easily be down to 2 points? I think everybody would have taken 4 points from the Ipswich & Wolves games? Just people would have expected us to beat Ipswich & hope for a point v Wolves?
  20. Exactly King. Pinto for Reed, Hernandez for Murphy were both viable options around the 60minute mark. Both would have offered something different to what was on the pitch already, and would have given the Ipswich players something different to think about. As for keeping the ball to bring the opposition onto us, teams are far too disciplined in the Championship to run around like headless chickens away from home. How many times have teams just sunk bank into 2 lines behind the ball? And saying that Oliveria and Maddison both missed chances in the box 3 games ago sum its up. We simply aren''t making enough chances. You can have 100 shots from outside the box a game. It doesnt necessarily give you a better chance of winning.
  21. Sorry, but enough with the ‘work in progress’ stuff. This season we started at home by dominating a team without ever creating clear cut chances. Has there been that much progress at home all season? We are still slow, laboured and predictable. We are waiting for teams to come chasing us so we can play it around them and score the perfect goal, yet that is simply never going to happen when teams are happy to sit in 2 banks of 4. There is also a complete lack of plan b until we are losing. The subs were almost embarrassingly late today.
  22. He is feeding off scraps. I’m not sure what people expect him to do when he gay virtually zero service. Other than the penalty last week, when is the last time he missed a clear chance in the box?
  23. This diving stuff is turning into a huge issue now. Apparently it’s a clear penalty according to the ‘expert’ pundits, because there was a slight bit of contact on his right leg. The fact Dele Alli goes over like he steps on a land mine with his left leg is somehow irrelevant and doesn’t matter? Allis reaction showed it was a dive as well, he is almost pleading his innocence
