Is Godfrey a genuine replacement for Tettey?

Nelson Oliviera - transfer value?
Rogue Baboon replied to Haggerdoo's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
The things is look at what Championship strikers are going for theses days. Kodija, McCormack, Assombalonga, Bamford etc. It really wouldn''t surprise me if we got 10million for him, and can see the Swansea link appearing again - I believe his agent also helped out Swansea with transfers a year or so ago -
I really cant believe this debate is still going. It was one off booing at the fact Tettey had to pass the ball 40yards backwards due to any form of movement from the team (note: not AT Tettey - he was probably just as annoyed). I also dont think the team would have been booed off at half time either. Now if we want to debate people that just boo for the sake of it (people that Badger/LDC are mentioning) then yes I agree. But thats different to what happened during the Villa game. As for affecting the players, if affected them that much that we managed to turn in arguably our best performance of the season. The way some people are going on, 1 bit of booing should have been enough for the players to crumple in tears due to to the nasty people in the crowd. We won, move on ffs

Who are we actually talking about here? Those that have no interest in the game, that turn up to boo, and generally don’t support the team? (They exist, albeit in very small numbers) Or those that let out a bit of frustration that the ball went backwards 40yards because there was no movement from the players? Or are they both the same in some peoples eyes?

Just imagine if every team was ‘better off’ without the fans that grumble. Man City would have no fans after yesterday, or Wednesday night Man Utd would have no fans after the first half yesterday. Arsenal would have no fans after the last 10 years Chelsea would have no fans after this season England would play in an empty Wembley every time And so on... Is a pretty stupid thought process, people will react instinctively to what they are seeing. One incident is being completely blown out of all proportion. It’s actually bizarre when people look for negatives despite a win. This is exactly the same.

I asked Hucks about it after the Millwall game, he said players would have expected it and been just as angry (or words to that effect) These are professional footballers. They will be used to grumbles. Based on this season, they probably actually agree with a lot of them. If I was Tettey, I would have been just as annoyed at my team as the fans were when he had no choice but to pass it 40 yards backwards because nobody wanted to move. Like I said, being blown out of all proportion.

Morris, Abrahams, Fonkeu, Idah
Rogue Baboon replied to Tommo's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I would have said Morris, surely if he is going to make the step up it has to be next year? Saying that, his goal scoring record in League One doesn’t suggest he is ready yet -
Several things. It probably wasn’t 10 seconds. It may have been less, but the point was the same. He was stood with the ball at his feet whilst the rest of the team stood still. The boos probably weren’t because the ball went backwards, but because there no was movement from anybody else. Have I ever seen him do anything deserving of a boo? Well I have seen him do some really poor things (Sheff Utd 2nd goal?) As for Tettey staying I don’t see how that’s relevant? There are arguments for and against, today doesn’t change that

From the second the ball left his boot he played like a different player. Involved in everything in the 2nd half and played how you would expect a pacey winger to play. Involved in both goals in the 2nd half and unlucky with the ball that was just in front or Srbeny. I have been critical of him, he’s been pretty poor recently, but deserves every bit of praise today.

What happened to Murphy at half time? Playing like a man possessed!
-
We are pretty rubbish, we really are. Nothing at all in the final third
-
@Sussex That all depends on what a ‘chance’ is For me, we don’t create enough clear chances where you would either expect the player to score, or the keeper makes a great save.

Delia, Webber and Stone speak
Rogue Baboon replied to PurpleCanary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Go up, make minor changes to the squad, get relegated. Isn’t that worth about 200million on it’s own these days? Seems strange to admit you would rather be a small community club than as big as you can be? -
To be fair to Warnock, Nuno had no interest in shaking his hand at the final whistle, so he is hardly refusing

Season ticket renewals
Rogue Baboon replied to River End Canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I think Hairy has called it correctly. The fact that tickets are available means there is no waiting list, so not only have we lost 500 or so season tickets, we have lost another 1500 or so renewals that have been replaced by those on the waiting list. Next season is crucial. Should we perform as ''promised'' then we should be competitive which keeps people coming to the ground. Should we carry on as we have this season, or worse, then we may be looking at another big drop next summer -
Goodbye to the Crafty Cockney
Rogue Baboon replied to Van wink's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Anybody else watching the darts on a Sky tonight? Really surreal when the news broke. Bit by bit the whole arena was becoming aware, including the commentators, players and fans -
Season ticket renewals
Rogue Baboon replied to River End Canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
A rebate maybe? That’s the only thing I can think of that would be considered ‘big news’? If it’s just renewal figures I’m not sure they would be teasing an announcement? -
If in six months time ( October) ......
Rogue Baboon replied to CANARYKING's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
We have to separate what happens off the pitch from what happens on the pitch. Off the pitch we are heading in the right direction. On the pitch we simply haven''t been good enough all season. I get what Farke is trying to do, but simply we are not any closer to where we want to be than when he took over. If it hasn''t changed by October its easy to see Farke being removed
