  1. Very strange comparison (and I do anticipate this is a bit of a wind-up), but Wagner has achieved nothing with Norwich yet. If he somehow gets us up, and somehow we survive in the top tier it will be a valid argument to have, until then Farke is clearly head and shoulders above Wagner.
  2. Honestly, how much better could he have been? Unless you think Wagner is at fault for his injuries.
  3. What do you mean "under-utilised"? Is he not our top scorer and has been pretty much a guaranteed starter under Wagner?
  4. Don't disagree with this at all, but surely then people have the right to point out booing when the team is winning 2-1, and then go on to win 4-2, makes you look particularly moronic, as well as petulant and childish?
  5. Just out of interest, why were you disappointed with the line-up last night? Without Rowe, it's difficult to see how Wagner could pick a more attacking line up.
  6. For me, it is very simple. I want the club to achieve the best it can at any one time - that includes promotion from this division regardless of how we get on with the Premiership. I am really confused with the lack of ambition from a lot of the fans - I get that it's not great to see us being smashed every week in the Premiership, but that's the reality if we want to progress. I would also hope that Knapper's approach would be very different to Webber's in the Premiership, and that we would have learnt something as a club from these experiences. Also, the massive point that I think the "stay in Championshippers" miss is that without progress to the Premiership, and the money that comes along with it, there would be absolutely no guarantee we would be competing at the top of the Championship in the coming years. Far more likely is that we would lose all our best players, struggle to attract the Sainz/Sara style in-betweeners, and become a mid to lower table team with other teams taking our place. It's simply not an "either-or" situation - without the yo-yo style Premership money and exposure we would start to drop like a stone.
  7. But the reality of the situation is that both Hernandez and Sarge were blowing and needed to be substituted (according to Wagner after the game any way). This was illustrated pretty clearly by our increased control of the match with the substitutions that were made. This is my main problem with the booing - it's usually based on half a story, or a perceived notion of what the story is. I get that this is really a cumulative cause/effect based on the season, but I really don't think people consider the injuries Wagner has had to deal with, or the lack of depth in our squad. The football we played early doors last night was very attractive and entertaining IMO. If this was peoples' main concern with Wagner, I don't think it's reasonable to boo considering that we are making progress, and have now hit the top six.
  8. That's just patently untrue though isn't it? Agreed, they scored their equaliser after the substitutions, but Watford had far more control, dominance and overall chances prior to this. Indeed, had it not been for some great last ditch defensive work by Gibson, Watford could have been winning at half time. This is far more about those people who have strongly decided Wagner is a terrible coach, and are jumping on any minor point they can.
  9. Difficult to argue the subs didn't make us better. We were getting torn to shreds before they were made, and improved control of the match almost immediately after.
  10. That sort of business is what Webber seemed to excel at, the problem was when he actually spent money...
  11. Difficult to invade the pitch if you've never attended a game 👍👨‍🎓
  12. What on Earth do you expect him to say you clown?
  13. Would be very surprised if our number one target wasn't a proper DM and Barnes drops to the bench with Sara +1 further forward. I believe Wagner would rather play Sara further forward given how the season started, but we just don't have the personnel ATM.
  14. Best of Onel tonight - one of the only players capable of holding the ball up, and also finally delivered quality. Really hoping he has a strong finish to the season, more confidence will surely lead to better decision making in the final third.
  15. It was well taken, but that strike wasn't anywhere near the top corner.
  16. Cracking challenge on Connelly too. Have to say it's refreshing seeing us brutally **** house away games.
  17. Agreed. Played great but you would probably be disappointed if he didn't make those saves.
  18. Bit of magic really, considering the potato field of a pitch, the sheer natural ability to just adjust and curl it in with the outside of his boot was magnificent. Also took it early so the keeper had no chance; how many times did we see a certain Teemu Pukki score from similar areas?
  19. Absolute shambles, but that pitch is just embarrassing. The worst pitch in the top 4 leagues?
  20. Hernandez made things happen today, should absolutely have had two assists.
  21. Unfortunately the first in particular was a terrible miss, we should really have been out of sight in that game.
  22. How far do you want to go back? We finished third in the top tier in 92-93. Back a few years ago I was personally extremely disappointed at how Farke's tactics and training were far removed from what we saw then.
  23. Woman in her 80s feels unsafe at a public event and some highly intellectual chaps point out she was probably asking for it. Sounds surprisingly familiar but I can't quite put my finger on it?
  24. I say this with all respect; you truly have to move on from Daniel et al.
