  1. He's had a terrible re-introduction to the first team, entirely true. However, he was excellent in the champs for us, where we'll be next season. Haven't really followed how Rudd has done (well, I hope). Isn't Gunn quite a bit bigger (frame / height) wise than Rudd? Most be worth an extra couple of million. Plus, if he becomes an icon, we won't need to spend money on the paint to change The Gunn Club sign.
  2. I like Sorenson, but he's not got the acceleration or agility for defensive midfield. He's a centre back, or a central midfielder from the late 80s / early 90s when people were still smoking 20 a day.
  3. double-your-money contract extensions for our summer signings.
  4. I know Sorenson is 'supposed' to be a DM but he's too slow to play there in the Premier. Happily have him in at CB though where he has more space to play.
  5. Looked like Williams selling Placheta short on left wing to me. Then aarons not cutting out the cross field ball. Gunn maybe could have done better too. In short, they're just better than us. Such is life.
  6. I fancy Krul to have done better with the 2nd at least, but Angus has been out a long time so is understandable.
  7. Lol. Nice reading comprehension. Please go and find where I said that vaccinations were a waste of time.
  8. I'm double vaxxed, AND had the booster (somewhat reluctantly), but I'll be damned if I stay quiet whilst ANY coercive measures are put into the law regarding the vaccinations. I'll protest march with all the tin-foil hat nutcases if I have to - flat-earthers, 5gers, new world orders, you name it. If we can't make a good enough argument to convince people to get vaccinated of their own volition, then that's our problem from an educational and outreach perspective, and we need to do better. Coersion will only embolden the anti-vax movement. You don't need to be a social / behavioural scientist (lol at those jobs) to work that out. If the vax actually had a reasonable likelihood of stopping you catching it and giving it to others, I may be persuaded otherwise, but it doesn't and I have first hand experience observing how ineffective it is at all but preventing serious disease (which is obviously the main reason to get jabbed in the first place).
  9. 100% should have walked. Our player would have been sent off twice for making the same tackle. Although not complaining as he's in my fantasy team, as he's so 'world class' he's overdue taking his tally of goals to a heady "two" for the season.
  10. We were bottom before tonight injuries / absences. Which is the point I made in my post. And look, I responded to a post without insulting the person. Not hard, is it?
  11. It's not his fault that those Chelsea fans are obnoxiously ignorant. Don't get me wrong though, has been shocking for us.
  12. Regardless of what the score would have hypothetically been if Farke was manager, there's one thing I think most of us can agree on: The players brought in this summer (and last summer, with a view to this one) have not been good enough for the Premier League. And that has now happened twice. In almost identically comical fashion (too small, slow and lightweight). Injuries or not, we were bottom of the league before today's game (and injury list) for a reason. Maybe no-one wanted to sign for us, in which case, can't do anything about it. But I'm skeptical that we couldn't have spent our money better.
  13. Sorenson is a less athletic Ben Godfrey (A centre back wanting to play DM). Do think he'd do better than Gibson there though. Max should have fouled / hacked. Gibson may as well have been on the bench.
  14. Reads game well, but doesn't have the same engine as Skipp, who was / is lightning over first 2 yards.
  15. Hope the Man Utd team get food poisoning on way back with only 1 coach toilet and no toilet roll.
  16. Have had it with Gilmour. Get rid in January. He may be a world beater in future, but right now - for us - he's an effing liability.
  17. If Rio Ferdinand wasn't such a great player, the commentator's microphone would (and should) have filed a restraining order against him. Not exactly brains of Britain. Same with Shearer et al. Rather have that chap who is always very insightful when I've watched the championship summary - Rosenior? Might have confused him with someone else, but someone who's played the game, but is actually articulate.
  18. Decent result, but I am officially OFF the Gilmour hype train. Scottish Tommy Trybull, except crapper defensively.
  19. Bench and recall back to Chelsea in Jan beckoning for Gilmour. Harry Kane Mk II.
