That will be the same Bryan Gunn who played a match less than one week after tragically losing his eldest daughter to Leukemia will it? I don''t think he should be given the manager''s job on a permanent basis either, but weak and pathetic he certainly is not. Frankly some of the bile that is being posted on here about Gunny is insulting. He deserves better than this.
Well quite frankly if he doesnt want the stick he should get out of the job , his continuous bleating about wanting it (which started even before our last 2 matches) says to me all he is worried about is Bryan Gunn and being billy big bollocks the manager .
I don''t recall Gunny saying he doesn''t want the stick and I''m sure he can handle it, otherwise he would not be putting himself forward for the job.

 3. The best thing he could do would be to invite a handful of fans in to do the teamtalk. They might just then understand how important this is.
 4.
End of.
May be he was, but the bottom line is it was Roeder who ripped the heart out of the club and Gunny was left to pick up the pieces.
 5.
I can''t seem to feel sad or angry just numb! I have been waiting for this for several bad seasons watching the team decline on the field and morale decline off it. I have no faith in any aspects at Carrow Road, from an inadequate amature board, through an inadequate well meaning manager to an inept bunch of second rate or loan players. The pitch is in good nick, the ground looks good, we will be welcomed by every lowly team needing an attendance boost. That''s next season, but at present, as I say I just feel dead.[:''(]
Felt gutted after the game, but much better after going out for a run. We can''t change what''s done, better to look foward to getting the 4 points from our next 2 games that I reckon will keep us up.
 6.

I think Barnsley will draw with Coventry and Wolves putting them on 49. Plymouth will lose to QPR and be on 50. We will draw with Reading so on 47 with the best goal difference.   If we won on the last day then we would definately stay up because barnsley and plymouth couldnt both get over 50 points, with inferior goal difference. Keep the faith, you never know!
If we play like we did today then we''ll get sweet FA
True, but if we play like we did against Cardiff, Watford and Birmingham then there is a good chance that we will get the 4 points that I think will keep us up.
 7. I''m going to stick my neck out and reckon Coventry will win this one. Chris Coleman won''t tolerate another poor performance and will have his team fired up. 2-0 to Coventry.

 9.
Been racking my mind for the past two hours and have come up with...... NONE!
Try these for the Reading match: A committed home team driven on by the backing of a noisy and passionate full house (remember Cardiff, Watford?) In the absence of David Mooney there is a chance that Cody Mac will get his first start and he could be the perfect foil for Alan Lee. How about some optimism instead of all the doom and gloom?. Reading some of the posts on here you would think we were already down.
 10. Shocked and saddened to hear this tragic news. Graham was a boyhood hero of mine and a key player in the team that achieved promotion to the old first division for the first time in our history. Gutted when he left in ''73 to join West Ham, pleased for him when he won an FA Cup winners medal with The Hammers and delighted when he returned to City in ''76. I can still remember seeing his first goal for us against Preston in ''69 and a thunderbolt against Blackpool in ''72 in a 5-1 win. My condolences to his family. R.I.P. Graham and thanks for the memories.
 11. Here''s mine: Dear Mr Doncaster, Yet again the loyal supporters of Norwich City Football Club have been subjected to another spineless performance away from home at Plymouth this afternoon. It therefore beggars belief that Mr Worthington, when interviewed on Radio Norfolk after the match, says that he feels under no pressure. First of all this is an insult to the supporters who travelled great distances to the match today at significant personal cost to themselves. I understand that the team and management flew back to Norwich after the match. Personally, I would have left them in Plymouth to make their own way home as the supporters have had to do. One suspects that given the direction in which the manager is leading the team they would have ended up in Cornwall. Secondly it is a damning indictment of you and the rest of the board that you continue to employ a manager who has sadly lost his way over the last two years. Mr Doncaster: a change in team management at Norwich City Football Club is long overdue. It is up to you and the other board members to demonstrate the leadership that has been lacking both on and off the pitch for some time and do what it necessary. I fear that if things are left to continue down the current path unchecked then the protests that took place outside the ground last season will re-appear inside the ground this season. It would be particularly sad if this were to happen in front of a live TV audience next weekend. The ball is in your court. Please do what is necessary for the club to move forward again. Best regards, Phil Henry (Loyal supporter for 35 years, season ticket holder and shareholder)
 12. I think you''ve been a bit generous there Paul. I cannot remember witnessing a more abject performance in over 30 years of supporting the canaries. Here are my ratings: Green - 6 made some good saves, but his distribution was poor at best. Very lucky not to concede a penalty. Drury - 5 looked all at sea in the first half. Improved after the break. Doherty - 5 thought Lee and Haynes gave him the runaround today and he resorted to hoof-ball at the end. Rehman - 8 our best defender by the proverbial mile. We missed his presence in the middle after Fleming went off and he moved to right back. Fleming - 6 did OK at right back. Think we would have got away with a draw had he stayed on. McVeigh - 5 allowed Wilnes acres of space in the first half. Never really got going today. Safri - 5 looked off the pace to me. Set up the goal, but frequently second to the ball and didn''t use it as well as he normally does. Etuhu - 3 I cannot work him out. He has the physique of Vieira, but the presence of a mouse. Doesn''t seem to want to challenge for any headers in midfield and the game just passed him by. Rightly substituted at half time. Hughes - 5 put in his one usual excellent cross that nearly resulted in an own-goal. Lost count of the number of times he passed to an opposition player. Earnshaw - 5 service to him was atrocious. De Vos must have been laughing his head off as another high ball was lumped up the middle. Johansson - 7 message to Worthy: JJ is not a target man so don''t tell the players to lump it forward to him. Looked good when the ball was played to his feet or for him to run on to. Excellent run and finish for the goal and a sharp turn and shot before it. Unlucky with the one that came back of the post in the second. Worthington - 1 it''s unbelievable that he can put out a team as badly prepared as the one today. Subs: Robinson - 5 thought he should have stared instead of Etuhu. A few decent touches, but generally overrun along with the rest of our midfield. Huckerby - 5 Our midfield dismally failed to get the ball to him. When they did he didn''t deliver the quality he is capable of. Shackell - 5 first game back and it looked like it. I thought he struggled badly with the Ipswich front 2 at times. Summary: We were outclassed by a team of journeymen and kids who were 2 yards faster and able to do simple things like pass to a team mate. Today was one of the most spineless and clueless performances I have ever witnessed from a Norwich team in over 30 years. Worthy OUT now!
 13. No-one as on his recent track record I don''t trust the manager to spend it wisely. Save it until the summer and give our younger players a chance to prove themselves between now and the end of the season.
 14. Indeed it is. I can accept the fact that the club are selling the player, but what I cannot accept is the lies and deception that have preceeded today''s announcement. I have mailed my thoughts to the club at ''reception@ncfc-canaries.co.uk'' marking them for the attention of Neil Doncaster and Nigel Worthington. This e-mail address is from the clubs official site. In over 30 years of supporting the club I have never felt so betrayed as I do this morning.
 15.
Here''s a radical idea - why don''t we stop throwing personal insults around and restrict comments on both sides to constructive advice/criticism. It would certainly encourage a few of the less rabid contributors to the board to join in on a more frequent basis! Has nobody else noticed the recent lack of comment from people who used to regularly involve themselves, but appear to have been discouraged by the levels of bitterness and back-biting that have become more prevalent of late? There''s never been a shortage of clever, witty disagreement on the Pink''Un message board - until now (IMHO). If some of you lot behaved like this in my local, I''d bar you within a week! With all the faffing around with different email addresses you''d require for multiple ID''s, I can''t see many people doing it - quite frankly I don''t care if they do. All I''d like to see is a return to the ''informal chat'' atmosphere that used to radiate from my screen when I read these boards - it didn''t stop arguments (thank God) but I used to feel everyone would be happy to share a beer together, whichever way the decision fell. I can''t help but feel saddened that some protagonists on both sides of this bloody WO/KTF feud now seem more inclined to chuck their pints at each other. Anyone want to bury the hatchet? Anyone?
Hear! hear! Most sensible post I''ve read on here in weeks. How about it everyone?
 16.
Hi Phil. Firstly, may I congratulate you on your finely worded post, it makes a refreshing change from the one line insult (you know who you are!) I can tell you. You say Worthy is a fine and decen...
Hi Dave (1st Wiz), Thanks for your reply. Whilst I agree that Delia''s half time rant against Man City was embarrassing I think it was well intended. Above all she is a genuine fan of the club and with her and the rest of the board in charge it feels like ''our'' club. I doubt that the majority of died in the wool Chelsea fans could say the same. Phil
 17.
shardy you''ve got my full backing, Holt was AWFUL!!! Marshall Briggs Mcgovern de waard hecking bottom (soz in wrong orders) easton holt stuart ...
Gary Holt deserves far more recognition from NCFC supporters than to be nominated in a Worst NCFC team of all time. He was outstanding in our play-off season and it''s hardly his fault that he was consistently picked to play in our premiership season when he was so obviously out of his depth or injured.
 18. With our current group of players up for all sort of criticism on this board (justified in my opinion - with a few notable exceptions) I thought I would bring to your attention a current story concerning one of our recent greats. My father-in-law (Bernie) is a volunteer for meals on wheels and was joined on his round this week by none other than Bryan Gunn. The story and pictures are in tonight''s evening news and you can read the story at the following link: http://www.eveningnews24.co.uk/content/Features/story.aspx?brand=ENOnline&category=Features&tBrand=enonline&tCategory=features&itemid=NOED10%20Nov%202005%2015%3A39%3A08%3A223 Gunny stayed with Bernie for the full duration of his round and made the day of a number of our more senior supporters. He also engaged in a lot of banter and took a lot of stick from Bernie on the current (non) performances of the team. To cap it all (for me) I now have signed copies of Canary Citizens and Gunny (A year in the life of Bryan Gunn). I cannot speak highly enough of Bryan. He was a great player (our best ever goalkeeper in my opinion) and remains a great ambassador for the club and an all round top bloke. Our current group would do well to watch and learn.
 19.
Those who backed Worthless and the board at the AGM!. Not to mention the fact that there are 6000 shareholders I believe, and the board were reelected by only a small percentage of them!. I have to ...
First Wizard, I was one of the 600 shareholders who attended the AGM. Taking the subject of your post literally you therefore think that I am one of the 600 souls who have ruined city. Let me share some facts with you: 1. In the Autumn of 2003 I decided to invest some of my hard-earned money in NCFC at the time of the share issue. This contributed to the purchase of the players that secured our promotion in 2004. 2. In the Autumn of 2004 I had the opportunity to cash in my ''B'' preference shares and walk away with £200 in my pocket. I decided not to and so did hundreds of other shareholders. The money the board saved as a result of this contributed to the purchase of Dean Ashton. 3. By no means was there 100% support for Worthy at the meeting. At the beginning of the Q&A session the first questioner spoke at great length in support of the board and Worthy. In my opinion this went some way towards defusing what could have been a very tough meeting for the board and the manager. There were still enough difficult questions put to Worthy that made members of the board visibly squirm in their seats and drew applause from the floor. Just so you know where I stand, I support the board. I haven''t always agreed with their actions, but I cannot think of anyone else I would rather have running the club. I am also in the ''Worthy out'' camp. I felt that he deserved the chance to take us back up again following our relegation, but the recent performances at Luton, QPR and Wolves lead me to believe that he is taking us in the opposite direction. In my opinion he still remains a good and honest man and I hope he does the honourable thing and resigns. I await your carefully considered reply to the above with interest.
 20. I too was a Worthy fan, however he has committed the cardinal sin tonight of changing a winning team. Some of his decisions continue to defy logic and we deserve an explanation.  If we lose on Sunday () then the pressure from the supporters at the next home match will be intense (and deservedly so)
 21.
On Radio Solent, Mandaric says that they enquired on how much Green would cost and he has been quoted £2.5m. For me this seems quite fair (same as Robinson) and would help ion rebuilding the midfield...
I think they would be well advised to spend the money on improving their excuse of a football ground! My first rant on this board and I suddenly feel a whole lot better.
 22.
Just one of them mind, has stated, ''Damien is cool, strong and delivers goals and in a struggling side, so id like to see him in a better side''.... #&87**"4% Better side?.. hes talking about ports...
Hopefully Worthy will stick Linvoy Primus in the centre of our defence Agree with what you say about Francis and his agent, Charlies Dad. Barefaced cheek given his non performances since February.
 23. Named after favourite (and in my opinion best ever) NCFC player of all time. Sang the song "One Martin Peters, there''s only one Martin Peters" many times on the terraces during the mid to late 1970''s
