Nathan Redmond Looks like he's chosen us!
Phil Schmil replied to Tetteys Jig's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Strong rumours this evening that Redmond, Toivonen and Hooper are due to sign. With Leroy Fer also linked we could be in for an exciting and pivotal week. OTBC! -
Good luck Elliott. Excellent in our championship season and solid for most of our first season back in the Premier League. He will do well at Bournemouth.
-
He had moved on to Southampton by the time I was old enough to attend my first City game in 1967. Still remember him as a great player. RIP Ron
-
He was great in our promotion run in and really seemed to contribute to the feel good factor around the club. I''ll always remember his goal against Coventry on the final day of the season when he wrong-footed the whole barclay end, not just the Coventry goalie. As other posters have said I think we have moved up a level since then and wish him well, just not with us.

10 players to leave in the summer

Pretty much agree with Branston''s assessment, with the exception of Korey who I think will end up at a championship team. Possibly Yeovil after his earlier loan spell. Good luck lads. -
Tough on Wigan. At 1-1 they were looking the more likely to get the next goal.
-
After the way he behaved on transfer deadline day I wouldn''t want him anywhere near my football club. Only player I''ve ever heard booed by his own fans after coming on as sub.
Quite clearly an own goal, once you have seen the right again.
McAuley gets first contact and heads it against Bennett''s head. Agreed at first viewing it looks like an own goal, but check the youtube link at 0:36. https://twitter.com/mattjware/status/333655557850427392/photo/1 Definitely Bennett''s goal.
-
Watch the goal again on MOTD tonight. McAuley headed the ball against the side of Bennett''s head and it then goes straight into the net. Clearly Bennett''s goal and well deserved for a great performance at both ends of the pitch.

Is the Wigan win good for us or not?
Phil Schmil replied to Jersey Canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
If Wigan win their last two games that means Villa will lose their last game. Or to put it another way if we win then both Villa and Wigan cannot overtake us as they play each other on the last day. -
Chelsea vs Villa - match thread

Lambert whingeing about the ref. -
To the OP: You obviously don''t understand the meaning of the word "supporter". I thought the forum had lost this kind of attention seeking thread when First Wizard left on the last occasion. Jeez.....

Agree about us still needing to beat WBA, but if Sunderland lose tonight we would be safe if we win and they lose on Sunday. -
Southampton. There have been a lot of twists at the bottom of the table and this will be the last with them losing at Sunderland and drawing at home to Stoke on the last day. Wigan pick up a couple of wins v Swansea and Villa. Villa get a point at home to Chelsea, ditto Fulham v Liverpool. Sunderland get 4 points from Stoke and Southampton. City beat West Brom, Host of teams safe on 41 points with Southampton relegated on 40.
Plus Newcastle win at QPR

Great post Yellow Wall. In reality we over-achieved to get promoted and finish 12th last year. Lambert was able to get the best out of Championship players by continually rotating the squad and formation to keep everyone on their toes. This season was always going to be one of transition hence the target of finishing 17th. We stand one win away from achieveing that target and will then have the money to continue building a squad capable of sustaining premiership football. I''m struggling to think of a bigger game in my 40+ years of supporting the Canaries than West Brom next week.

Terrible night''s sleep. Made the mistake of watching MOTD before going to bed and it brought it all back. Absolutely no sympathy from the wife this morning as she doesn''t understand the emotional investment we all make in our our team and the gut-renching feeling of a defeat like yesteday. Now off for a run to try and clear my head......

Listening to Radio Suffolk. Chris Hutchings has just said on air that Paul Jewel is still at the club and is currently watching a DVD of the match to find out what went wrong. You couldn''t make this up!! Apparently Marcus Evans is out of the country.
