  1. I cant see Vile"a" getting relegated, especially not if they get Defoe and Kenwyne Jones as is now being quoted on the BBC wesite.
  2. This would be a quality signing if it happens.   What type of hat do you have Bethnal, I hope it''s not a sombrero?? (Just incase) ;-)
  3. Is he any relationship to David, the Sky Sports News presenter??
  4. According to someone on the rumours website (which I know can have a load of bollox on it) a "drunken" Wes told him Saturday night that he is off to Sunderland in the next couple of weeks.   I hope none of the rumours regarding him leaving are true!!
  5. Firstly I would like to say that I absolutely love Wes,  ( I even persuaded my boy to name his guinea pig after him), but... 4.5 million that''s just ridiculous money for him!! Which is why I would say it''s a load of Bollox personally.
  6. Deflection off Michael Oliver I reckon, it''s about time he gave us something back!!
  7. He seems to have it in for us. There tends to be at least 1 diabolical decision per match when he is in charge!!
  8. I remember seeing on Tw@tter a while back that Benno said Russell Martin was one of he quickest players at the club so I would have. Martin Benno Jackson Vaughan
  9. The jury is obviously still out on Vaughan, but I for one would like to see us keep him and give him a run of games early season (if he is fit) to see what he can do. I just have a feeling that he will come good this season if we keep him.
  10. Aaah but what they haven''t said is that the announcement will be from Villa!!
  11. One Stop it is for me in future then, bugger the co-op. I''m going to post the loyalty card back to them tonight!!
  12. @Scottlarock.   They were question marks, so I was not aiming anything at you I was asking you if were serious in the point you had made regarding Howson. However things can get taken out of context on here,it''s no problem from my perspective, we''re all grown men and entitled to different opinions. All the best.   PC
  13. @Scottlarock   I am aware of what the thread is about as I managed to read the title all by myself like a big boy. I am with "lets be avin you" on this one and def in the minority as to preferring AC over JH, but both together would be rather appealing.
  14. Surely you''re not serious about offering Howson?? He will be a major player this season. I would love the AC thing to happen, but just can''t see it i''m afraid.
  15. From what I recall he had an injury that kept moving around his leg think it started with his hamstring then it went to his groin. He had a run out for the ressies towards the end of last season but got taken off after 20mins or so because he was saying that it still hurt. Its all gone quiet since then, so I havent got a clue whats happening with him now i''m afraid.
  16. Hopefully he doesn''t have any friends called "five bellies"!! He sounds like he could be a very very good player once he is match fit, I''m very pleased with this signing.
  17. I know alot of people aren''t keen on the idea, but..... I think the man in your avatar could be a very useful captain if Hughton is going to take it away from Holt.
  18. Four in a row my 7 year old lad loves that game. Althiugh we call it connect 4 in my household, naturally I always use the Yellow counters and he gets stuck with the red ones!!   On a more intelligent reply, I think if Holt continues last seasons form he will be in with a damn good shout of winning it again, however I think he will be pushed hard this season especially by Howson and possibly Pilkington/Ruddy. If Butterfield gets regular games and he is as good as he says he is (lording himself on Radio Norfolk last night) then maybe he will be in with a shout aswell.
  19. He will certainly do a reasonable job in the championship, best of luck to him.
  20. In my humble opinion, none of this is really relevant as he has signed for us, it really is that simple. Clearly Lambert and Villa are not as much of a threat or a draw to potential players as many on here seem to think they are.   OTBC
  21. In my opinion it''s a calculated risk from both parties.  Avb will badly tarnish his reputation should he fail at Spurs, and he has some fairly big boots to fill!! And obviously Spurs will struggle in the league if he does fail. I just get a feeling that Daniel Levy didn''t like the media circus that followed Harry around, ie Sun columns, always willing to talk to media etc etc. He is clearly young and talented but unproven as yet, but then you do have to start somewhere. Perhaps he will have learnt from his mistakes at Chelsea. Maybe this season Chris Hughton can be all smug and arrogant when weve just beaten them (home and away)!!
  22. I have to say that I am very happy with this!! Ive got a plastic gooners fan in the office taking the p!ss out of me because i''m so happy about our "marquee" signings, normally I would bite and give him some sh!t but i''m too chuffed to even bother with him after this news!! OTBC.
  23. I suppose that in a way this sort of proves that it wasn''t all about money as he was offered more elsewhere!! I''m well happy about this!!
