1.
Set the terms then Shack. Lets get this right, Ive havnt started a thread ''slating'' him, I havnt said he is the worst player I have ever seen, Im simply saying he is not as good as people on her make him out to be. And if he were as good as people on here made out, he''d be playing at a higher standard, he certainally wouldnt have spent a season in League one. I pay my money and do my travelling to watch Norwich, so im entitled to my opinion. The talk of me creating new user names is so childish and in no way do i deserve to be called an f**king p**ick!
Woah, ease down there fella! Happy to make a silly bet with you afetr all £20 would''nt brake the bank especially as it would go to FONCY. I was just ribbing you for seemingly wriggling away from you initial bet (albeit a colloquial one). To play 50% of the qualifiers would not be inicative of his quality and International worth if he was crocked in the first match. I would admit that it would have to be a qualifier and not a friendly.. You are entitled to your opinion; I joined the thread late and was simply picking you up on that one point. However your money may well be safe, I think he''s better than  a lot of the gash that is in front of him... Trappatoni obviously does''nt right now. We''ll see. I agree that he may not be as good as people make out but this is what fans do, (No I am not saying you are not a fan), people get carried away because you tend to do that when you support a team. Disagree on the ...''he''d not of dropped to League 1 if he was that good'' malarky. There are a multitude of reasons why yhe may not have had a choice - contractual reasons, reasons of being on a better wage than achievable elsewhere... I doubt that he''d be with us now if we were still in League One. RE: your last point - should be water off a ducks back, mate!
 2.
Really any need for the language? Your brain so small you cant think of any other words? All this over a debate about how good a player is, very grown up. He''s 29 and we are the biggest club he has played for, does that not tell you something? Fairplay Shack, I''ll donate £10 to Foncy if he breaks into ROI''s team, and by that i mean start more than 50% of ROI''s qualifiers, not friendlies. Should he no,t I want yourself and Yellows and all the other people that have had swipes at me to donate £10 to foncy!
Hehehe ... I bet he doesnt break into the ROI team. I said £20.00 pounds. You say: 50% of the qualifiers and £10.00. I say you have little conviction in your rash comments.. (please see the embolded phrase above, the one you made) surely breaking into the Team would not legislate for ''freak'' injuries etc.. By the way, I never took any swipes at you.
 3.
''Paul Lambert''s Discslipped'' sez :  "You do know Queens Park is in West London, right? Approximately 7 miles away from, and nothing to do with, the ''Cockney'' East End either historically, geographically or culturally?"   REALLY?
Oh, don''t be like that Mello. Clearly you must give a damn, maybe a little one, after all you took the trouble to look into your inexhaustable vault of: mildly amusing / irrelevant / inane pictures...
 4.
With those two together produces "IDLE CHEW PISS" Apt I think[:D]
Going off at a mild tangent; I love the Nimmo Twins take on Ipswich. "..If Norwich spells (k)nickers off ready when I come home, what does Ipswich spell? Imbreds put small willies in cousin''s holes!"
 5.

Cracking goal from Wes, CD Mullins where are ya??!!
Im here, yet to see the goal. But one goal isnt going to change my mind. Seen Titus Bramble score a volley from 30 yards, you want him playing behind our front 2? I''ll back down when Wes is...... A) Playing regular international football Bearing in mind he''s kept out of the squad by Keith Andrews, Keith Fahey, Paul Green, Laim Lawrence and Keith Tracey. and B) Playing for a Premier League club.
What the hell??? Andrew Crofts doesnt play international football or play for a Premier League club and he is without doubt our POTS so far, so that is such a ridiculous thing to say! The fact that he is a quality player and at the middle of most good things we do is enough...CD Mullins/Eagleeye LOL!
Your a complete moron. No one is making out Crofts is a world beater. City fans seem to think Wes is, in reality hes playing 2nd tier football, this is the highest level hes played at and he cant get a kick for Republic of Ireland. We''ll see where Wes plays next, I bet you its not at a bigger club than us and I bet he doesnt break into the ROI team.
... nothing like a rash comment is there? Put your money where your mouth is. £20.00 to FONCY or a charity of your choice... You are prepared a wait aren''t you?
 6.
Oh come on, Cluck made a funny. Get off your politically correct high horse and enjoy it.
Cluck, never has and I doubt ever will be funny. He may be an expert troll and for that, I give hime some credit..
 7.

If, if we promote next season and Adam Drury still with us, this is what is really loyalty is! 6 years with the club from the Premiershiip, then Championship, the relegated to League 1, then back to the Championship, and if we promote to the Premier League again, then this kind of loyalty is really we should admire. It is more than someone liked Giggs or Scholes remains in United for his whole career...
Translation please......
Well done! Before I thought that you were a misguided Ar5ehole - now I just think you are an unmittigated Cunt.
 8.
No....Thats why i said if Smudger likes him he must be good.....Because it seems like he critizises players, more than he praises them....
Indeed! That is why I posted...
 9.
If Sumdger likes him...he must be good :D
Yes and by the same token, Simon Lappin must be really bad..
 10.
I agree 100%... [Y] I was unsure if Russell Martin was going to cut it at this level, but he has put in consistently good performances that have improved with each week. He was solid away at Preston last week and at Scunthorpe.  I reckon he has aquitted himself reasonably well in most of our home games (watford the possible exception).  He defends first and foremost, but has also started to link up well with Korey Smith as young Korey has got himself back to near full fitness in recent weeks. Of course he is one of the crowds favourite whipping boys though - so it''s quite alright if you criticise him and shout nasty things at him - just as long as you don''t do the same to some people who can''t stand an opposing point of view without resorting to uneededed threats on their fellow fans. Now I have praised him up, I am sure that it is probably time for him to have a shocker, or make an awful blunder tonight?  Giving all of his critics the opportunity to point the finger and tell us how wrong I am/we are???
Gosh, you are sore aren''t you!
 11. I am never quite sure if they just have an amazingly dry sense of humour and think, here comes another limey, let''s ask him if he knows the Queen, or if he has some tenuous Irish heritage and see whether he ''twigs'' that they are taking the piss out of us...
 12.
Me and my son are driving to the game tomorrow night when I get home from work and we will be coming via the A11. I drove down to Norwich on Friday and the traffic was mental up until the Elveden junction. Is there any hope of the traffic being better tomorrow night? OTBC!
Friday is always worse though. There is little option though; London to Norwich: A1/A505 or M11/A14/A11 still feeds into the Elvedon ''drawbridge''. We like to keep riffraff out - not meaning you though, obviously! ...be pleased you don''t have to contend with the delights of the A12..
 13.

did mc namee actually touch the ball yesterday totally over rated
He was only on the pitch 5 mins and I didn''t see any of it so can''t comment. Lappin on the other hand was clean through - one on one with only the keeper to beat and decided that he was going to cut back before puttin in a high cross that went straight across the pitch to nobody and out for a throw I believe.  Chris Martin has had abuse (and yes he is a striker), but at least when in a similar position yesterday he did hit the target and make the Hull keeper make a save. For me Simon Lappin is totally over-rated and he was a major member of a team who got us relegated from this league previously (as was Hoolahan).  Why do so many fans assume that they are good enough to do anything different now?
Smudger you really are an idiot in your obsession with Lappin. In our relegation season he started 4 games(yes just 4) and made 1 appearance as a substitute. "he was a major member of a team who got us relegated from this league previously"..... says Smudger.Care to explain that for me again could you?
Bumped for Smudger as he quotes statistics from the game on saturday to argue his point but does not answer the statistic i posted with regard to his outrageous comment concerning Lappin during our relegation season.
Agreed, although let''s not kid ourselves that Lappin is anything other than a squad player at this level.
Sorry, disagree to a large extent. What Lappin does, I think he does well (at this level); sure, he won''t give you step-overs like Mcnamee and has''nt blistering pace but he is defensively solid and is consistent in dead ball situations and mostly has a decent cross on him. I thought that Lappin played very well on Saturday but we all know that Smudger has his ''beef'' with him and clearly, Smudger''s not for turning - with or without facts.
Hmm.   He''s taken his chance, by all accounts, but is only in the first team because Surman is injured.  Which is kind of my point, he''s a back-up player at best.
Hehehe this could get tedious, we''ll see when Surman is fit again..

 15.
Yes, I agree with everything that has been said already. Most annoying. However didn''t he play for Forest on the wing? And if so, was he any good does anyone know?
Calderwood did play him on the wing and he was quite effective in terms of goals he scored and assists he made, for a winger (both into double figures). It still annoyed the hell out of a lot of Forest fans I know who rated him better than Tyson and Agogo, the men that he''d been pushed out wide to accomodate.
 16.

Jamie Cureton > Cody McDonald.
Have to disagree with that one Mr. C. His finishing is no worse (probably better), he''s quicker, more enthusiastic, provides more assists & generally provides more of a pain in the backside to the opposition. I''d have rather kept him than Oli.
Agreed. Everyone cites Cody''s recent transition from non-league as an issue but conveniantly forget that Oli was playing further down the non-league pyramid before moving on and hardly set the world alight at Stockport. Oli has had a years worth of professional coaching ahead of Cody and looks no better for it. Cody has pace and commitment - still Oli has a decent ''fro, I suppose...
 17. a bit worried about this one. Leicester will be (insert cliche here): Like a wounded animal / looking to restore some pride / Save Sousa from the sack...
 18.

Am I the only person who thought Holt had a good game yesterday and was starting to look more like his usual self?
Ball fizzed across the six yard box 5 or 6 occasions at head height and our big centre forward was nowhere to be seen. I personally think Holt is capable of playing in the championship and scoring goals, however not enough goals to fire us into the premiership. There is one serious question I would like somebody to answer - it is said that Holts lack of goals at Forest was because he was played out wide - was he really played out wide ? or did he drift out wide becoming ineffective ?
Colin Calderwood played him as an out an out winger to accomodate Tyson and Agogo.
 19.

We lost to a classic away performance and our profligacy in front of goal. Hull soaked up pressure really well and then took control. Bullard was outstanding in the last twenty minutes or so. I don''t accept that they were poor. they looked low on confidence, but were always organised and never wilted in the face of huge pressure. Yes, they were lucky, but they earned that.
I agree with you Beau, Hull were better than their league position suggested.  Bullard was roaming around unmarked from minute one and was a class above every other player on the field; he''s their Huckerby provided he can stay fit.  They knew how to play against the diamond so that our lack of width was exposed, with Martin and Holt spending too much time out on the flanks.  We looked a tad naive today I thought.  If Hull can recover from post-relegation syndrome I can see them finishing in the top six.
..must have been another Hull player that I saw, that had blond curly hair, who got clattered about three times in the first 20 minutes. Thought that he wasn''t ''given much quarter'' in the first half tbh. Second half we gave him too much space

Yes, they were lucky, but they earned that. As for us, we were superb for 70 minutes without finding a finish. We can take lots of positives, but can we please drop the "Holt is untouchable" crap. He''s overweight and ineffective, not some sort of football god. We are a decent midtable side, nothing more at present, but we didn''t deserve to lose today. That''s football - shit happens. Let''s move on to Tuesday.
People see games differently but I don''t except that Bullard was outstanding at any point in the match - I''d say that he improved vastly towards the end of the game and we saw glimpses of what a 48K a week player should be capable of in the second tier of pro football. Holt and Martin played most of their effective football in the wide areas where they are incapable of doing what they are on the pitch to do.. score.
 21. Wiz dear chap. I am from Norfolk, not Chile; incidental, I know. I happen to go there often as I married a Chilena - trying to increase the gene pool and all that! I never ever said that you weren''t disabled - I just forcibly stated (and still maintain) that you should not use a disability to garner sympathy when losing an argument or to back up a claim when it was not relevant. Much like people using the ''race card'' when it is neither valid to a situation.. I have no doubt that you have a disablity, whatever it is I am sorry for you; however, how many other posters have one? We may never know because they may chose not to divulge it on a public forum in order to get a sympathy vote.   Welcome back - wee knew you could not stay away a month! hehe
 22.
@ Jason Shackell''s Limp tackle Could say EXACTLY the same about a strategy of knocking what a poster says for everything, eventually one/some of their predictions are going to be wrong.
Bearing in mind I have only recently started posting, whereas Wiz has accumulated 15/16K of posts over five years, would suggest your comment to wide of the mark. In 90 odd posts I have ''reacted'' to wiz twice, BOTH times he''d made: spurious / libellous / factually incorrect / attention seeking (delete as appropriate) comments.. This is a mesage board after all..
 23.
you just can''t let it go can you Shack, even tho you have driven him out you still have to keep having a go - Prick
I have driven him from this messageboard? The last time I checked he left of his own free will, not because of any caustic comments but, because Morty had exposed him for falsifying claims about something (albeit rather trivial). I have nothing against wiz, I am sure that he is a smashing fellow but when you ''put your head above the parapet'', you expect to get shot at. And, let''s face it, it is not only that Wiz expects to get shot at he wants to be..
 24. NOTW claimed we''d could go into administration by Thursday http://tiny.cc/mqawm when the article was written around January.  McNally said that administration was close last Autumn.  In other words NOTW was still wrong.  But Wiz''s claims at the start of the L1 season wasn''t too far away from the mark. Throw enough sh!t and some is bound to stick. That man has an opinion on everything and changes his mind as often as needed to ensure he''s right on something. Please don''t dignify him by insinuating that he had some inside info..
