  1. I thought credit where its due - he won his headers, worked hard and brought other players into the game.He got out wide quite a lot (like Holt does) - are they both told to do this by Hughton?Shame he had to come off, but Kane also had a very tidy game.
  2. My cousins are Barnsley season ticket holders, and they Facebooked me to say what a great signing he would be, and that they were gutted to be losing their Captain, and a player who was fantastice for them prior to getting injured.Seems that since his injury he may have struggled to find consistent form, but who knows maybe with the benefit of a full pre season at Norwich in 2013/14 we may find him a different player, and something more like we expected!
  3. Love the fact he says there are about 10 teams in the Prem  who are capable of going on an unbeaten run of  "four or five games", and that us and West Brom now know this feels.Conveniently misses the fact that our Premiership unbeaten run is ten games!  I wonder if half the Premiership are capable of a ten game unbeaten run, does it happen often to the top ten clubs?  I also wonder whether Lawro even realises that''s how long our unbeaten run is - if he does it seems he chooses to ignore it!
  4. Think we need to cut him a bit of slack - he''s hardly played a competitive game for ages, and pretty much seemed to cut it in the Prem last year!Turner had a bad start after not playing, but a few games blew the cobwebs away - I''m sure Tierney would come up to speed given a run of games if Garido was injured - no need to slate the guy!
  5. David Fox signs new two-year contract with further one year option
  6. Brilliant post OP - I started going to Carrow Road in 1976 so had quite a few good years, and thought it would always be like that!  Not so, but we are back now, and the world has changed!People expect instant results, and if you play lower league sides, you should obviously win - and probably by a 7 goal margin! There are so many more variables than that in football and I assume that, to make such comments, the people that make them have played football (at some level) and always won comfortably in cup games by a very high margin!   Raised games etc play apart - and it''s football - that''s what keeps us talking!
  7. Don''t think it matters how many games we win, until we are mathematically safe, this bloke will believe we will get relegated.   Then and only then (and even then it''s by no means guaranteed) he might give us a little bit of credit, before saying we are dead certs for relegation in the 2013/14 season!
  8. Faultless player for his effort, but struggled to hold a place in the team once we got in the Prem. Was great for us in the Championship.Quite right that he should be playing regular first team football, and up and coming (and familiar) Brighton seems a great place for him - sure he''ll do a great job there.Wish him all the best for the future.
  9. Wiz must be the ultimate "unsupporter" - a supporter by definition is "a person who approves of and encourages someone or something".I don''t see any approval or encouragement from Wiz, so by definition he must be opposed to our Club, and is therefore certainly not a supporter.Maybe it''s time for him to find a forum to post on about "someone or something" that he does actually support?  Just a thought - but maybe then he will find happiness, and his life will be complete!
  10. Hoolahan still changes games, but will he be able to fit into a Hughton style of play?I like the suggestion of getting two new right backs and playing Martin as a CB - makes me laugh when he plays CB and then goes on an awesome run at the oppositions defence, which they just don''t expect from a CB!  It doesn''t happen often, but when it does causes problems.Howson, and whoever else is our leading scorer next season though for me - not sure we have the leading scorer in our squad yet though!
  11. Never mind chips - I think there''s whole chip shops on those shoulders!
  12. Loads being tweeted about an announcement in the next 48 hours about our new manager.Would be good to get it finally settled, but does it mean we are appointing someone not currently in employment, hence a quick appointment?I am so looking forward to our new manager being named, and the start of a new chapter in our history!
  13. I think the way McNally has handled things, over this difficult time, has been nothing short of brilliant! With all the talk in the press of a "club in crisis" and a "player mutiny" he has reacted through the press and social media to give the impression that there is calm and controlled planning behind the scenes at CR as they work to secure our Premier League future. If it wasn''t for him, I would be seriously worried!
  14. We need a motivator for our lower division wonders - Bruce isn''t - O''Neil is and it shows with howe Sunderland performed after Bruce left.
  15. That was McNally when I typed it!Anyway - no offer received!
  16. lly just tweeted that we have not received any offer from West ham for Holt!
  17. Remember that one of the reasons Charlton got rid of Curbishley was because the fans were moaning that whilst they were staying in the Prem each year, the style of foorball they were playing was dire.So Curbishley went, and that did start Charltons downfall. Not sure we would get the attack minded football and tactics we have been enjoying with him in charge, but not sure if we can find someone who will deliver that anyway. To be honest I am not impressed with any of the names being bandied about, but am sure McNally will have the right man in mind before Lambert resigned.
  18. So how come when I added a Lambert Thread, I was shot to pieces, with "Not another Lambert thread" etc etc but it''s perfectly acceptable for someone else (who happens to have posted lots of threads).to do the same. Not ANOTHER Lambert thread!
