1. On the point about non playing staff cuts a few posts up I truely beoved the non playing staff overhead was way too high and trimming here was essential anyway.  I do not feel the club will link it to playing budget, it is unfortunate folsk will lose their jobs but in all honesty they should have been aggressively trimmed 2 season ago
2. I would be sickened of Foulger does not give his chosen man, Gunn, the full million he clearly was prepared to donate now the rebate date nonsense passed.
3. If the loan season has made martin mature off the field as well as on it he''ll be a useful asset to the squad.  If he still acts like a dipstick out on a night then get rid
4. Heard this a couple weeks back, he was contacted when staying at Huckerby''s place in the US having trials at 4 teams over there. Invited to drop into Colney on his return for a bit of training and a chat
5. Very good, to much focus off field spending where the revenue returns where never likely to amount to much
6. If a full fitness test proves he''s not Mr Glass i would offer him a League 1 level contract He accepts it then great, if not no loss
7. We do need players in their proper position, without any question using right footed on the left side, left on the right and utility players who could apparantly "do a job" has cost us dear in the last couple of seasons. The squad is very thin on numbers, and we''re likely to lose at least 2 or 3 more from the relegated squad, so it is quite a task to cover what we need
8. Nice summary but it has all been said before, thats more likely the reason why it didn''t make the presses Thank goodness for forums though so you can at least have some people read & comment
9.

Just read where Foulger has made another plea for fans to forget the rebate. Cheeky sod. Stop begging Foulger, it''s pathetic. I claimed my rebate ages ago, there was never any way that Gunn was getting his hands on my money. By the way, I don''t care that this is another rebate thread, it''s a public forum, and people have the right to post what they want.
He''s not a cheeky sod and it''s not pathetic it''s good business and it''s people trying to get money on the pitch. I''ve made my position clear on other threads I left over a thousand pounds of rebate in the club, not because I support the board, not because I support Bryan Gunn but because I support Norwich City and even if half of that money is wasted we will still have more chance of getting out of this league with it than without it. It''s the easiest thing in the world to find fault with others but unless you have a sensible alternative, which no one on this forum does, you have to support what you have.
Really?, one thousand....rebates for season ticket seem to be floating at 70-90quid each, so you have a dozen full priced, not child/pensioner ST do you?
10. I actually think all that''s been achieved, by both, is to remind the absent minded they better get their rebate request in.  Better they had kept quiet & let the date slip by
11. I thought Hendrie has no club right now so how can it be a loan?
12. While i don''t actually believe Gunn will bring the right quality in, until the end of the month when alot more players become free agents when contracts expire, traditionally business in the transfer market is slow in June. He needs players in early as possible thoguh to allow for them to bed in & gel in the friendlies
13.   What we need, and age for me is irrelevent for me, are Left & Right wingers with an end product A solid no frills right back who can defend, Marc Edworthy-esq Another 6ft centre half Two central midfielders who can pass and get into the box to offer goal threat, 5ft 10" or taller One holding midfield who can tackle, again 5ft 10, and has ability to track runners from oppo''s midfield A big Iwan-esq lump up front Actually as i type this there is an age senstive position for me, i''d like a senior/old goalkeeper to help Rudd through the season
14. Joe Ferrari has just confirmed on Official Board that letters confirming the mechanism to reclaim rebate have now been sent out A deadline of 19th June 2009 for action is a stipulation so anyone on the fence has just over a fortnight to make their mind up or the club retains the monies
15.
It would be useful to have some clarity on one point. John Tilson, the NCISA chairman, said earlier in this thread that there would be a NCISA committee meeting on Thursday (ie, yesterday). The clear implication was that the issue of the rebate would be discussed. In today''s EDP he is quoted at length, attacking the club over the Foulger offer. It looks as if these are John''s personal views (“I think it''s emotional blackmail”) until you get to this bit: "We [NCISA] stand by the press statement [to claim the rebate]  that we issued after St Andrews Hall,” he said. “We will stand by it, we are not going to start changing tack now.” That suggests, without stating it unequivocally, that the NCISA committee meeting discussed the Foulger offer and voted against it. Is that the case?
I asked the same question, although more concisely a page back but it got lost in all the garbage Can the thread get back on track & we get an answer to this please
16. So is there an update from committe meeting or not?
17.

Sulaiman Al Fahim Not a good old Norfolk boy unfortunately Foulger, but you keep looking locally, there''s no money further a field clearly......Stop being so short sighted and expand the search
Pompey are 2 leagues above us in The Premiership. Hope this helps.
It didnt help the first time, but by the third time I had read this, it certainly did help.
Because we''ve not been in the premiership in reecnt years, nor looking for investment, which Foulger has taken up and was reported by Archant as looking locally Far too lazy to get off their backsides and look out in the wide world
18.   Sulaiman Al Fahim Not a good old Norfolk boy unfortunately Foulger, but you keep looking locally, there''s no money further a field clearly......Stop being so short sighted and expand the search
19. Players budget = current squad salary too If it had stated exclusively new players budget then i''d be happy, it''s not and neither is the rebate And Mr Foulger may already have committed to making donation previously, say at the board meeting, only now being spun as linked to rebate
20. blahblahblah - you asked what i desired not what i expect.
21.

Credit to you LQ for giving some thought but I am with Ankles50 as are all my Bury Yella mates. If I had a million quid that i wanted to put into my beloved club it would stay firmly in my wallet until this board had gone. Who in their right mind would give this lot any more money. I am a shareholder and have small monies invested (!). Sorry but it gets back to the nitty gritty - do they want to sell the club at market value or are they looking for idiots to invest. It''s a no-brainer I''m afraid. My mate Andy Larkin has apparently got into some trouble from the boards Gestapo, so I too will not go into specifics.
Which of the following would change your mind ? a) Club announces that any money put into the 33,000 block of shares bought after 14th May goes directly into player budget b) Club announces a) and a new manager with league 1 experience c) Club announces a), b), and new CEO with proven track record d) Club announces a total buyout. If it''s just a) for a lot of people, then maybe someone could ask somebody at the club if they would agree to a)...
D, which in turn results in C & B
22. LQ - i''m going to argue with you about millions needed to get out of this league Millions if you going to waste huge amounts of it maybe But the right guy, spending wisely, will make a shoestring stretch to success IMO Gunn does not inspire
23. I would have asked for prudence, ncfc know that word, and not appointed a manager yet.  It was neccessary to have done so and a more ideal candidate may have stepped forward who has experience at lower level working on tight budgets The Board jumped the Gunn and in so doing removed any chance recovering and of being an attractive investment
24. Thing is are any of you actually confident of our current Board with any additional money?? Track record would dictate getting it wrong in off field spend & backing the wrong manager (which they''ve done again) to spend on the field. Throwing more money at incompetants will not solve the dilema NCFC find themselves in
25.
LQ (or anyone else for that matter) - how is the price of £30 arrived at?  I assume it is set by the board?
Indeed, wasn''t always 30quid, they''ve put it up so their holdings have a much higher recorded worth than they paid for them
