1. In our house we don''t post song lyrics in posts
 2.
Guys, it''s almost a year to the day since we announced the release of ten squad players. Simeon Jackson, Korey Smith, Marc Tierney, Elliott Ward and Chris Martin being part of the ten. Could any of those players have done a job for us this season do you think and who is likely to be released this time around (if any)
Obviously all these players were upgraded at the time so no I don''t think would have done well in the EPL. Obviously in retrospect Martin may have done better than RvW, but there''s way to many ifs and buts. At the time it was right to release them.   Players who I''d like to see return and could do a job next season would be Ward and Martin, as they''re seasoned Championship performers at good ages. Korey Smith you could argue is capable of making the step up now to the Champ.   As for players we will release, who knows. I''d like to think any player who does leave we''d get a good fee for, rather than just letting them go. It does annoy me to see that.
 3.
I think the problem, or potential problem, with Becchio is that he hasn''t played games or scored goals for a year and a half. Maybe he''ll come back with a point to prove but maybe he won''t be the player he was before.   I do think Hooper would score goals but I just think we''d need someone else. I also think it might just be a bit too easy and simple thinking that just because we''ve dropped a league Becchio and Hooper will be an unstoppable partnership for us.   For me it''d be Troy Deeney. Got quite a lot to his game as a striker at that level, scored a lot of goals this/last season and scores different types of goal. I would say he is a better all round player/forward than either of Becchio or Hooper.
Troy Deeney to be fair would be a fantastic signing, although I''m not sure Watford would want their players player of the season to leave on the cheap. But you''re right, he would perhaps be an upgrade.   Maybe I just really want to see Becchio succeed here and at the very least see him given a proper opportunity.
 4. Alexander Tettey says he wants to play at the highest level and is open for talks with other clubs. He is training with Rosenborg during the summer. Does anybody think he is up for it in the Championship? I think it is in all interest that he finds a new club. He is to much injury prone and one good performance is followed by lots of bad perfomances. http://www.tv2.no/2014/05/15/sport/premier-league/fotball/5598793   The article reads to me that Tettey is simply keeping his options open, which you can''t blame him for, he''s 28 and only has a few more seasons to realistically stay in the Norwegian national set up.   In my opinion he''s good enough to play for a lower level Premiership side, I know when he wasn''t injured here we seemed to play better when he started, especially alongside Fer and Johnson as a mid field trio.   I''d be disappointed to see him go. I think he''d be fantastic in the Championship where it''s rougher as he''s a strong lad.
 5.

Hopefully the two main strikers next season will be Becchio and Hooper, as obviously both proven at Champ level. Loza as back up with Kei would be pretty good if you ask me.
I''m not sure that''s strong enough.   I think we''ll need at least one more forward to come in and I think it''ll need to be someone better than Kamara.
I can''t think of many better high scoring Champ forwards than Becchio and Hooper in recent years, and they''re both on our books. It''s perfect.   Who do you realistically think we can get in to improve on them? Or who would you like?
 6.
There''s Malky having a quiet bite to eat in the corner of the restaurant - he looks up to see Nigel Clough at another table perusing the sweet trolley and Mike Phelan having a drink at the bar. Do me a favour.
Ha haaa, I actually laughed out loud reading that. Excellent point.
 7.
Nothing to do with being a nice man. Has worked wonders at Sheff Utd this season. Is a young up and coming manager and will be a very good one.
Does he count as ''up and coming'' now? He''s been in management for 16 years!   He did impress me with recent interviews on TV. He seems to command respect and knows football extremely well. Plus he has good management genes. However he''s only been at Sheffield Utd since September and got to the FA Cup semi final, a very rare thing for a third tier side, so I''m sure he''d be keen to stay a while longer considering his long tenures at Burton and Derby.
 8.
?
Hopefully the two main strikers next season will be Becchio and Hooper, as obviously both proven at Champ level. Loza as back up with Kei would be pretty good if you ask me. I think the changing room is missing a big character like Kei since Holty left. Also sometimes a player seems to fit in well like Kei and Pacheco. I''d love it if we rescued him from the second tier in Spain (his clubs ground has a capacity of 6k!).
 9.
Glenn Hoddle as groundsman and Mike Phealon the new tannoy man...
Neil Warnock as the new half time clown. Glenn Roeder the community goodwill ambassador.
 10.
It''s hard to look at previous trends now that the TV money has changed so much. Norwich, Fulham and Cardiff all earned more last season than Man U did the season before that.   The extra finance these three teams have could make all the difference - or they might make no difference at all. It''s too early to say.
I find myself wanting to say ''^^this^^'' to most of your posts Bethnal. You have a pretty good objective view on football.   Let''s hope we make the most of our financial clout before it disappears and we''re paupers again throwing poundcoins into blankets as they circle the pitch.
 11. As a human being and a football fan I feel the need to hate at least one football club for little reason.   I therefore hate Ipswich even though they''re 50 miles away and collectively never did anything bad to me. I boo when I bypass Ipswich on the A14, I shudder when I think of Portman Road, I go ''weyyyyyyy'' when I see they have lost and if I ever see somebody wearing any kind of Ipswich Town FC paraphernalia in Norwich I have to resist the urge to ask them ''are you wearing that for a bet?''   So I don''t care about Ipswich at all, and in fact hate the club and all their fans indiscriminately.
 12.
With MM as manager and NA First Team Coach.
It was only a matter of time until his name was mentioned. He is in the running for every football job going including groundsman.
 13.
I doubt whether most of the people who voted for Ralphy actually knew who he was. They just liked the look of a different option. It was more a way of saying ''we''re not impressed with Lennon, Malky Adams etc. We want something different''. I don''t think it was a vote for Ralph, more a vote against the usual names.
You''re probably right Yellow. More of a protest vote. The guy has never managed a proper club in this country so it''s a big risk. But then it says he studied Astrophysics at Brighton Uni so he''s no thicko, and has a decent record in Germany over achieving at smaller clubs.
 14. ''Long time reading - lowest post count on record at a guess!''   Wow you win Victory Car, that''s impressively low. I''d explode if I couldn''t lash an opinion every now and again!   I wonder how many ghost viewers there are on this forum compared to posters?
 15. I''ve never heard of the guy so I''ve had a quick read up including this article published by a Sunderland fan when he was their ''hipster'' choice for a while before Poyet joined:   http://www.wearewearside.com/post/2013/10/06/Who-Is-Ralf-Rangnick.aspx   I have to say I''m still at a loss as to why the recent poll indicates he is the fans choice. How has his name become ''cool'' and why would he be the answer?   If you voted for him, please tell me why (purely out of interest, I''m not having a go).
 16. Our transfer policy under Lambert was perfect. Buy upcoming talent who are already captains. It worked brilliantly. I for one was proud to see an almost entirely English team in our first few premiership games after promotion who were competitive. However it wasn''t the fact they were English that worked, it was that they were hungry to succeed. I''d like to see a return to this policy of buying captains, however roll it out internationally and add players to the squad who are natural strong leaders.
 17. Cheers Bluebird, good to get some intelligently written insight
 18. I''ve served more than 10 years! April 2004. Tbh I''m not a regular poster and generally scan the threads. But this is my favourite Internet forum. I have to say there''s way more petty point scoring and threads going off topic than there used to be. I do wish certain posters would keep these things in PMs as it has caused the forum to go down hill. But as Morty mentioned I remember the days when the mods had to approve posts. What all ball ache of a job that must have been!
 19.
Adams or Malky its the p1ss poor appointment the whole of football knows we will make , so predictable it hurts .
..........tumbleweed............... Malky and Adams is the perfect choice, come on CO, who sounds better to you? So far alternatives suggestions have been a joke:- Tim Sherwood. Not enough experience and seems to be embarrassed to have played for us.- Neil Warnock. Utter joke.- Holloway. Clown.
 20.
Colin might also think you''re a bellend.
Either you''re actually Colin or a troll. Either way Neil Warnock is the worst suggestion for next manager possible.
 21.
Looks like you''re in the minority then Jonezy, son. Those who know their football see Colin is a wise choice.
If I''m in a minority where people think Neil Warnock is a bell end then I''m more than happy with that.
I don''t care about his image or if the fickle nature of fans because a few wins and we will love him.
The whole ''fickle football fan'' thing is a media creation and just doesn''t exist. You can''t generalise supporters into a whole, as everyone has different opinions. If Colin became our manager and we won the league I''d be happy. But I''d still think he''s a bell end. If I cheered a goal when he''s manager it wouldn''t mean I''m fickle, it would mean I''m happy we scored. If other fans sang his name though I wouldn''t, however other people would generalise and say ''look at those fickle fans, not liking Colin one week but as soon as they start winning they ''all'' sing his name''. I''ll give you Benitez at Chelsea as an example. Some fans never liked him due to his previous comments, and if they''d won the league under him some fans would still detest him. Others wouldn''t.
 22.
and is free to take another job. ssn
The stage is set. Let''s welcome back the Captain.
 23. Have we ever had one of our players do well at a World Cup whilst on our books? Or even play in a major game?
 24.
Doesn''t seem to do any damage in Spain? Don''t quite understand why so many are so upset about this, what am I missing?
I''d argue you''re wrong as the B teams that currently exist are there instead of other teams who already are losing out and we''ve never heard of, or even worse gone out of business. I''m sure a proper football historian would know.
 25.
Colin or Malky ,? No contest Colin gets my vote, why well he plays good attacking football and players respect him and he has a lot to offer any club, and on the same note Please no to Big Sam
You''re talking about Neil Warnock right? Colin? The guy who used to manage Sheffield Utd and is an utter p!llock?   Just making sure.   Here''s my list of managers I really wouldn''t like to see: 1. Neil Warnock 2. Glenn Roeder 3. Adolf Hitler 4.Kim Jong-Un (although the players would ''respect'' him, so maybe I''m wrong). 5.Joseph Stalin (again I may be wrong, he''d know how to organise a defence)
