To be honest I thought neither Fox or Crofts looked any better than what we had last season. Then again, it is the first game so obviously room for improvement. I take the points made about trying to make defence splitting passes, but when your being done on the counter attack every time, conceding possession is the last thing you want to do.

The diamond was ok in league 1 because you could kind of afford to leave your full backs exposed. I think the Championship will be a different kettle of fish and R.Martin in particular will need a second outlet rather than keep going inside each time. I don''t want to say scrap the diamond but I definitely think we need to be a little more defensively organised and if it means going 4-4-2 so be it.

I was just differentiating between your average poster and an attention seeker. From my point the forums are a bit of banter but from what I''ve read I feel that others regard their opinions as superior.

There''s a difference between posting your opinion and posting to attention seek. For example, some people like to think they are the voice of reason, others like to be the first one to post a bit of breaking news (that''s already on the offy), then there''s the compulsive bullsh1tters. It''s becoming a job to sift through the c rap on here to filter out the good stuff. I would say it has been more of a 50/50 split in regards to Nelsons performances, with his better ones coming in the last month or so of the season and football fans have very short memories. Time will tell but I am sure that Nelson will be exposed for what he is if given the chance in the Championship - an average league 1 hoof ball defender.

Why is everyone bumming Nelson all of a sudden? He is quite clearly Doc mk2 (but the sh1tter second edition obviously). No way is he a Championship defender. I would put money on him being run ragged next season if played.

People are biased and have forgotten that Paul Lambert runs this football club and I couldn''t see him letting any billy big b0llocks come in and behave as Beckford has done at Leeds. Grayson, on the other hand is a wet leaf and Beckford has walked all over him and out the door for free. I''m sure if Grayson would have known he was going to have a poor 2nd half of the season he would have got a few quid for him in jan. Lambert simply wouldn''t let him have a poor season.

The fact is most of the disasters were preventable through better ground structure, stewarding and policing. But do they get investigated? It would be interesting to see Holt''s shot:goals ratio. He doesn''t seem to miss an abundance of chances during matches so my prediction would be that his form will continue.

Providing he wasn''t made our "top earner" which he probably would be - YES. He''s 26 so still got 4 year on top of his game. He''s 6ft 2 so brings further physical presence to our strike force He''s likely to score goals at Championship level He''s free BUT He''s a big-time charlie I don''t think he''d leave Leeds to come to Norwich if they got promoted as well. Would be a side-step/step down for him. Overall, I''d take him. I think he''d be a decent addition to the team and if it didn''t work out we could always sell him for a few quid.
