  1. Far too many, I should get a life......... but this is easier.
  2. What really annoys me is that the London media seem to think that the East coast seems to begin at Ipswich and that Norfolk and Norwich just do not exist. I even feel that Anglia and BBC East show a definite bias towards Ipswich despite both being based here. I know this isn''t football based, but I felt that the story of Ian Gibson''s resignation was somewhat ignored compared with the ammount of publicity it would have been given had he been MP for Ipswich.
  3. The longer you remain silent, the more fanciful the rumours become........
  4. Not certain that Bruce Rioch is a Delia croney, didn''t she say that she wanted the wonderful Bryan Hamilton as manager in the first place?
  5. I might be a bit slow on this one, but I have just turned on ITV teletext page 569 to read about all the exciting comings and goings at Carrow Road, we are not there any more, it''s Bl***y Peterborough. Don''t it make you sick!
  6. I''m fairly certain that we were all only to glad to see the back of last season. I thought that after it''s inevitable conclusion, that I would not want to hear anymore about Norwich City, ever again. Now however, I find myself although not looking forward to next season as such, I am totally bored and frustrated by the lack of anything new or real from Carrow Road. You only have to read some of the postings on this forum to find trivial postings, back biting, name calling etc etc, lets face it we are all getting bored and are therefore turning on each other. Why is the close season three months long?. Ok the players and staff may need a holiday, some of them a permanent one, but is it right that we have to have three months off from Football. I have often wondered how Clubs can afford to spend three months without earning money, yet still have to pay wages. Why can''t there be some form of Summer League Football? maybe a Youth Team league or cup competition , it must be worth thinking about and would be better than the nothingness we suffer at the moment.
  7. Good luck Jim, won''t the scum be sick if QPR get promotion and they don''t !
  8. Of Course, we shouldn''t just Gloss over it through lack of emulsion.
  9. Is it not the time for the truth to come out from Carrow Road ?. Every day we read of signings by much smaller, lower league clubs than us. We read of retained lists from Blue Square Premier league clubs, reports of Hartlepools 6th signing of the close season, Cambridge Uniteds new striker etc etc. What do we get?  Big Nothing again like every other close season.  We don''t even have a retained list, do we? Is the club so skint that we can not sign some new blood now, or is something really going on behind closed doors that we know nothing of ?
  10. I may have dreamt this, but wasn''t there some talk of Gerard Houllier coming before he went to Liverpool ?
  11. If Delia and Michael never sell, one thing is for certain is that they will pass on. Have they ever given any indication as to what happens then?
  12. Putting his CV in at Aberdeen, booking himself in for an interview on local Radio and TV, getting his daughter to start off a new campaign on Facebook and house hunting !.
  13. Radio 5 live were reporting earlier this afternoon, that Aberdeen had parted company with their managerial team Jimmy Calderwood and Jimmy Nichol. If this is confirmed, may I be the first to nominate that wonderful genius Mr Bryan Gunn to make a triumphant return to his first club. If the moderators could just remove the odd negative posting regarding the gentleman, I am sure that there are many of us who could think of a good thing to say in support of him. Nice teeth, good to his wife, shy retiring nature, tactical genius etc.
  14. Obviously I know about the books and magazines and TV, but the people who organised all that must have been of a much higher quality than the plonkers who "run" the football club.
  15. Keith O''Neill last played league football for Coventry and retired at 27. Flown from the nest had him down as playing for Newquay but that was a while back. Wikipedia mentions that he suffered from Spondilitis as a child, so maybe our medical requirements are more "flexible" than you might expect. Given that many of the players in my list have ended up at Coventry, do you think that they might have learned by now? . Incidently, Jon Newsome only played about 70 games after we had to sell him, he retired at 30 which is premature in anyones book.
  16. I forgot to add Leon Mackenzie and David Bell, they have had good value for their BUPA membership.
  17. Yes it is time we had a press statement about the changes (If any) at the club. But I would be stunned if we get one. The longer I see Delia and Michael in "action", the more I wonder how they got their fortune. Surely a business in any other sector would do something to please its'' customers, but Delia and Michael seem to do nothing at all. It almost gives credence to the many rumours of financial difficulties. Wouldn''t the signing of at least one player give us just the glimmer of hope that we can move on from last season and try to fight for promotion . I still find it impossible to believe that Bryan Gunn was given the managers job after his lack of motivational skills, poor tactics and inability to make substitutions cost us our Championship place. Promoting Crook or Butterworth would, I think, have been slightly more acceptable if we couldn''t afford an outside appointment. Come on D&M, "Let''s be having you",
  18. If you have seen the film "The Medusa Touch", with Richard Burton, you would know who John Morlar was..........
  19. When you consider the list of players we have sold over the years, is it strange how many of them have suffered injury blighted careers since leaving us. The likes of Bellamy,Eadie, O''Neill , Gordon, Ashton, Francis, Emblen and Fashanu (there may be others) spring to mind. Is it that we the fans curse them when they leave, or do we specialise in dodgy players with iffy medical reports ?. Is the club footballs answer to Arthur Daley ?  Look out Marshall and Croft, you could be next!.
  20. Yes, but be honest it has been like that since we were promoted to the Premiership, we have been b******d since we started.
  21. Thinking about this, in the entire history of the club, have we ever had many local players ?
  22. Every time I have heard Darren being interviewed, I have been left with the impression that he will be a good Manager in the future, if we have to have a rookie boss, why not let Hucks be the one ?. Somewhere in the back of my mind, I can recall him saying , possibly on the day we celebrated winning the Championship ?, that we should enjoy the day as it would never be as good again, my God he was right.
  23. Newcastle deserve all they are getting after parting company with that nice Mr Roeder.
