Anyone else bemused by our apparent decision to allow Nunez to play for Chile? https://www.pinkun.com/sport/norwich-city/23848043.chile-boss-eduardo-berizzo-confirms-marcelino-nunez-plans/ I know it talks about being a motivator for him but given he hasn't played a minute for us since he got injured on international duty, Surely we should insist that he pulls out of the squad? We are so lacking in influential midfielders who can change a game (which Nunez can do if on form) I cant believe we are risking him playing in an international.

wow, we all like to moan about the club but this makes me really proud to be a fan. an important message delivered really well OTBC -
Another thread briefly diverted on how frustrating it was on Saturday to see Gunn, Gibson and Duffy persistently just knocking the ball between them. For all the fans present it was just so annoying and painful to watch! Wagner seems to still believe we are 'playing out from the back and this is us retaining possession and creating space This ISN'T playing it out from the back, it's playing it across the back with no purpose. I don't necessarily totally blame the players mentioned here, it's more to do with the lack of options being created in front of them. Ironically, Coventry showed us how to do it. Two or three quick passes (taking one touch to control - not the minimum three or four our defenders seem to need) and then playing it up field to a midfielder or attacker who had actually moved in to space. I've no issues with playing out from the back but we arent doing that. Alongside the bemusing use of subs its giving me grave concerns about Wagner

Let’s be honest, if you were either of those players you’d be telling your agent to find you another club asap so that you at least have some team mates as the same standard as you. I’d also say find a club with a manager who knows how to play me in the right position and doesn’t sub me when I’m the only player actually playing well. and that’s even before youd start thinking about the money! -
Haven’t seen the highlights yet but was at the game and again Idah showed he just doesn’t have the natural instinct to be a striker. There was the failure to get the cross when he slid in which I presume is being talked about above. But also another occasion where a great ball came across to the back post. It would have been a harder chance and Idah May not have reached the ball but he should’ve at least thrown his body at it. Any kind of contact and he might have scored but instead he use stood motionless and watched it go out of play. It really looked like he just couldn’t be bothered. I don’t think that is the case but he clearly doesn’t have the passion or determination to make the best of what attributes he does have. the longer we preserve with him the lower down the league we will go. Hwang may be no better but I’d still play him ahead of Idah. But I’d also pick Rowe, Placheta or Fassnacht up top ahead of Idah (hell after yesterdays goal I’d even prefer Gibson!)

Sadly never going to happen. We don’t have the balls to do that

Absolutely boring and pathetic showing by the team today. Anger spilled over into the crowd when players came over. The players saw and pointed to fans fighting each other. As a club we are in trouble and something really needs to change. Can’t believe how quickly and badly it’s taken apart since the farke championship days. Very sad

People seem to hate Webber but you make a good point. Those championship years under him and Farke were some of the best years I’ve had supporting Norwich (last 45 years). Mistake the club made was sacking Farke rather than Webber. It was the rubbish players we bought that caused the issue and if we are to believe the reports it was Webber who decided on quantity rather than quality, a huge error. -
I’m dreading it! Live just outside coventry and most of my mates are coventry fans so it’s one of the biggest games of the season for me. need to have the bragging rights!

Extraordinary Substitutions
rock bus replied to Graham Paddons Beard's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I do think it's odd how reluctant Wagner is to play Gibbs. I think he is a real talent and would certainly have him as the sub to come on and replace Forshaw or Mclean in a game like Swansea. His constant reluctance to play Gibbs seems even stranger given how much time he is giving to Springett who appears bang average to me and certainly not of the quality that Gibbs has previously shown. -
All he needed to do was let it hit his head and it would of gone in....he just seems to have an unbelievable knack of nearly always doing the wrong thing. Honestly we need to look at doing something different - Idah will never be a top player and Hwang has been but wont be with Norwich. Wagner really needs to give the Man city youth guy a try or I would just push Rowe or even Placheta up top - does anyone really think they will do worse than Idah or Hwang at the moment? I feel we are going into each game with just 10 players. I know goals conceded are due to defensive errors but it cant help their confidence knowing there is no point in playing it forward as the strikers arent good enough.

help for daughter trying to rent property in Norfolk
rock bus replied to rock bus's topic in Non-Football
As an update she’s managed to find somewhere in North Walsham so hoping that’s an ok place?, unfurnished though so going to cost me a packet getting her set up. the joys of being a parent! -
Bit of a long shot but wondered if anyone can help with any advice. My daughter has just qualified as a mid wife at UEA and is to stay in the area and work at St James Paget. Like many young people she is struggling to find a decent place for reasonable money (on her own, NHS wages!). She hoped for something near Norwich (so easier for boyfriend to find work in the city) but right side to make travel to the hospital easier but really struggling. Think she will now need to look more closer to Hospital (talking Yarmouth - but recent thread about there has terrified me!). Anyone have any advice on where she could look? (or even better know of any where available!)

I’ve been quite a critic of Kenny in the past but this season he has been very good and yesterday was excellent

Not a bad idea, Idah certainly isn’t the answer and admittedly didn’t have long today but not impressed by hwang. think we might need to push barnes up top and bring a faster or trickier player alongside.. poss Rowe or maybe Fassnacht (who I thought was very good today) or is there a new youngster? -
The £200 million Norwich team that should have been

Funny that despite the intention of the OP my first thought was that defence looks terrible and would struggle in championship let alone premier league! surprisingly made me think Webber had done a great job getting so much for a lot of them! -
Team and subs for Stoke (h)

All depends on if he scores! If he does great, should return with more confidence. if it’s another 90 mins where he doesn’t score or really get involved or influence the game it will sadly be another reminder to him and us that he’s probably not good enough.
