1. Agree with Timmah here. No doubt Liverpool made us look decidedly average however I also think we allowed them to look that way better than they are. The disappointing thing is that we didn''t seem to have a Plan B or C or be able to change things around when we saw the way they were playing or the counter some of their attacks. We looked bereft of ideas!!
2. Not sure how we got so many but surely Butterfield, E. Bennett, Tettey and Fox & Pilks (if they are fit) should get a start this weekend. I think Howson, Johnson and Surman certainly need a rest. Not a midfielder, but think R.Bennett deserves a start ahead of Turner.
3. I thought apart from being slow to clear the defensive area which Ba in he actually didn''t play too bad. He certainly got better as the game went on. I do agree that I would also like to see Ryan Bennett before Turner. Would also like to go on record and say that I thought Barnett was one of our best on the weekend.
4. Totally agree, back line looks good.
5. Excellent, then we are all just imagining that this happened today. Let''s resume this coversation after Newcastle, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal and see where we sit and how Holt is doing. I hope it''s better on both counts.
6. At least Kane got himself in the position to fluff those chances which is more than Holty achieved today or at all this season so far.
7. It''s not about being hung out to dry. It''s about putting in for your teammates and fans. Obviously you are quite happy with his form and general play this year. Good for you, I am not.
8. He did look lost but it wasn''t because of the poor service. He is slow, lethargic and seems very uninterested to me. And, I hate to say it again but is heavy, carrying way too much weight.
9. Holty was rubbish today and the previous 3 games. This was always my concern when he got his 3 year deal, that he would sit back and feel that the pressure to perform was relieved now that he had his precious deal. He is not half the player he has been for us.
10. This is just not good enough. That West Ham team was rubbish and our performance was right there also. 3 points from a possible 12 uninspiring. I thought Holt was garbage and that the question really needs to be asked, what he is doing in the starting line-up at the moment. He has given us nothing in the four games so far. Harry Kane showed us more in 10 minutes than Holty has in 360 minutes so far. I would be starting Harry Kane next week to partner Simeon and see how we go. Holty needs to get off his fat contract and start and get to work.
11. I thought they said that Angus was 6''5. Can''t recall them stating Bryan was 6''7
12. Gaz, great idea for a post, it''s been really interesting reading everybody''s own personal football odyssey. Mine is a bit different than most. I starting playing at age 4 for a club in Queensland called Rochedale Rovers where I played in the U5''s team. By the time Under 7''s came around we had a champion team and went undefeated for the whole season. I believe we still hold the Qld record for the largest win ever being 21- 0 to this day. I moved teams to Beenleigh Soccer Club in the late 70''s where I was picked to play for Qld School boys and club teams until the age of 17. I was picked for the Australian school boys in the 80''s (cannot remember what year it was, bit of old timers setting in). Back in those days in Australia there was not the set-up (certainly not in Queensland) that we have in Australia now. Parents were basically responsible for funding 80% of the entire cost. Myself and two other teammates were picked for the Australian squad and had too train twice a week with the cost being $80 per training session which obviously met costs such as equipment, uniforms, travelling, meals etc. Unfortunately, all three players chosen did not take up the offer as our parents could not afford to pay that all money. I guess back in those days that was alot of money on top of the usual expenses of life. Beenleigh was promoted to the Qld premier league and we turned semi-professional earning a small amount of money for wins etc. My club wrote to a number of clubs in the UK for trials for me in 1990. Many did not respond but Blackburn wrote back kindly confirming I did not get a trial. I cannot remember whether the letter was during the Kenny Dalglish or Don Mackay period but either way it didn''t happen. I did have two positive responses that being from Coventry City and our own Norwich City. I travelled to the UK in 1991 as a 22 year old and had a seven day trial orgainsed with Coventry. I was cut after 4 days and I was taken into Terry Butcher''s office and he kindly gave me some insight into what I needed to work on in my game. We also spoke alot about Australia as at that stage he said he had property interests on the Sunshine Coast and was genuinly quite interested in Australia. I guess that come to fruition a bit later on when he was the Sydney FC manager. Anyway, I digress.  I was staying with some friends in Norwich and organised the four day trial at Trowse. I was actually still there after 5 days and feeling that I was performing well. I unfortunately on the fifth day hurt my knee in a tackle which after the physios at City looked at it was diagnosed as a torn ACL. Thinking back on that time I think it might have been misdiagnosed in Australia as I hurt my knee in the first game of the 1991 season in Queensland. It was diagnosed as a twisted knee but it never really ever felt as strong after that inital injury. When I injured it again during the NCFC trial I think what I had done was partially torn the ACL in Australia but completed the job at Trowse. I must say that NCFC were excellent to me as they knew I was over there effectively by myself so they put me through all their physios and got me back walking again which I guess cemented the love of the football club for me. After that I tried to keep fit and trained with Carrow FC for a while and tried to play but only lasted one game and obviously hurt the knee. So during the next 2 years I watched just about every NCFC game I could. Travelled to Anfield, Highbury,White Hart Lane, Molineaux, Luton (the old plastic pitch at Kenilworth Road) to name a few for league & Cup games. It was a great time (the Glory Years) really. I made some great friends and had some great experiences whilst I lived and work in Norwich.  I must say that even though I quite obviously never made it any further than that as I footballer, I wouldn''t change it as not everybody gets to see the inner workings of a football club and be involved in that to the minimal extent that I was. I returned back to Australia in 1993 and had a resutruction of the right knee and have tried to play socially but I end up with calf and hamstring strains so I am know a golfer and rabid NCFC and Brisbane Roar (the club Michael Theoklitos plays for) fan. Watching my two sons play on weekends is great and teaching them different skills is fun. I am heading back to the UK next April and will be hoping to hopefully get a game or two in at Carrow Road (if we can get tickets).    All the best.

14. FFS, they bought another midfielder this time from Real Madrid. I mean come on......
15.
I wasnt over impressed with him in the friendly at the end of last season but looking up his stats he has scored about 90 goals an 150 games for Celtic/Scunthorpe and is still only 24 so there is a lot of potential there. I think we were interested before he went to Celtic but couldnt afford him then. Ongoing speculation and he is English so probably wants a go in the premiership, what asking price would be though i have no idea
I agree YC. I would love to see Hooper come in. He is a natural goal scorer and is still young. I would rather him than Park.
16. I concur with the sentiment here. Apart from possibly earning more in wages, why would Rhodes leave Huddersfield where he is treated like a god to go to Blackburn where the whole situation there is toxic. Fans hate the manager and owners, owners hate the manager (it seems) but won''t sack him and manager has little regard for the fans. I know money talks for footballers these days but he should have stayed at Huddersfield continued his goal scoring form and someone would have come in for him in January, some club better than Blackburn.
17. I agree all I can find is stories that he is Celta Vigo bound. Not sure he is the best option for us anyway. Certainly no better than what we have including Morison and Martin and how unimpressive are they.
18. Looks like Greeno is about to lose his starting spot to new signing Julio Cesar. The Sun is reporting that Greeno will be looking for a move in the January transfer window. The thing that is interesting is the last paragraph of the story as it states, "Boss Mark Hughes admitted that he had not had the chance to speak to Green about the arrival of Cesar — who was at Loftus Road to watch QPR’s 3-0 Capital One Cup win over Walsall on Tuesday". I am sorry but I think for Mark Hughes to not even have a chat with Greeno about this just shows, 1) Greeno will be replaced in the line-up and 2) Mark Hughes really is a sh!t manager. That is very poor man management. I hope they get relegated, I really dislike them as a club.
19. It''s all a farce, a farce I say.................... Have never heard of Tettey but most people seem positive so I will wait to hear some positive news. Quick question though, with all the defenders and holding and defensive midfielders where is our attacking options or flair going to come from. Whose going to go forward enough to supply Holty and the other forwards. Just asking????
20. Totally agree Peas. It''s very user unfriendly bit disappointing.
21. Wouldn''t be unhappy seeing N''Zonzi in a City shirt. Good to see CH adding some quality into the squad. Can only be good for competition
