1. You''re right LDC, reckon he would do well for the Swans, maybe the PFA will let him go for a nominal fee!
2. How about Mick McGuire? Always thought he was a good all round midfielder who got unfair stick, possibly for his tendency for sideways passes. Wasn''t Mick Channon supposed to have said he was one of the best he played with?
3. Just watched the wonder of Usain Bolt taking his second gold of the Olympics and it felt a bit like being at Carrow Road with the yellow and green everywhere!!   Jamaica one, two and three and their supporters out in force.
4. Surprise, surprise my first City hero was Jimmy Bone in the early 70''s. Others would be Keelan, Forbes, Paddon, Peters, Suggett, Macdougall, Bruce, Fleck, Gunn, Crook If pushed for one it would have to be Keelan
5. Does he play on the left or right or either? I always thought that he was a right sided player.
6. What about Danny Graham from Swansea, any chance of us getting him now that they have a new regime in place?
7. Surely Colin Calderwood must know Whittaker from his days in the SPL and possibly even worked with him. This is probably the influence on this signing and hopefully a well thought out and constructive one.
8. Me too, nice to be called relatively young at 53 - it must be the new 33!!
9. People keep talking about Chris Hughton as an up and coming young Manager but he is actually 53 years old, which I believe is a couple of years older than Steve Bruce - does that make Bruce an up and coming young Manager too?
10. I think that something that''s highlighted by all of this ongoing PL and GH business at the moment is the usual fact of life that ''nice guys don''t win anything''. It doesn''t matter what area of life / business that you look at, seldom do the good guys come out on top - it''s the law of the jungle. As much as we all feel really pee''d off at the moment with the things that are going on at our beloved club, should we really be surprised? The likes of Lambert and perhaps Holt, don''t get to be the people that they are in life through being nice and I would doubt if either are feeling any particular guilt about anyhting that has happened in the last week or so. There are nice guys in life and in football - Adam Drury being a classic example - but will they ever be as successful as the likes of Lambert and Holt - I doubt it. So my point around all this is - we''ve had the success that we''ve had from Lambert and Holt but we shouldn''t ever have fooled ourselves into thinking that it would all go on forever and that it would all end in smiles. Lambert and Holt don''t appear to fall into the ''Nice Guys of Life'' category and if they did they wouldn''t be what they are and we wouldn''t have lauded them like we have over the past 3 years. Finally, the good thing about all of this for us is - David McNally doesn''t appear to be one of the ''Nice Guys'' either!
11. When I saw RTC pulling up at Riverside during the week and struggling to park his car, I thought that maybe someone had turned the clock back 15 years and Big Bob was ready to make his comeback and ride to the rescue of the great NCFC!
12. How about Craig Levein (Scotland Manager) as a possible for us, I haven''t heard his name mentioned but he could fit the bill (apart from his lack of charisma)? Young, something to prove, knows the worldwide game and players and has managed in the English league with Leicester.
13. What''s the thinking about Stevie Bruce these days - no longer good enough for us??
14. Didn''t see the incident where young Ryan Bennett supposedly caught Jelavic in the face but by the way he was rolling around in agony holding his face you would have thought he had been shot. If Bennett really didn''t touch him then Jelavic should have been at least yellow carded! Good striker but another continental play actor.
15.  I also thought that Hoolahan was our MOM yesterday and I tend to agree with your opinion on Howson as well. He (JH) is showing signs of being a great acquisition for the future but I haven''t seen too much yet to account for all the adulation going his way at the moment. Having said that, he will be a big star for us ijn the future and is another excellent Lambert purchase. I wonder how long before PL goes back to Leeds for Snodgrass?
16.

Hes not making too many headlines this season so far. I''d have took him for 2-2.5 million, but master Bates was dreaming if he ever thought he''d get 8 million, though fair do''s for standing firm if they wanted to keep him. Hes still a good player, better than Bennet, Pilks or Surman??? too early to tell imo. I''m sure if hes not in the prem after January, he will be next season (disclaimer, not neccessarily with us)...
I think its pretty conclusive that Snodgrass is a hundred times better than Surman, particularly when he is playing out wide.In answer to the OP, Snodgrass has set up 5 goals in 8 league games. That puts him at joint first in the assists table so far. He has only scored 1 goal, which is perhaps why he has stayed out of the limelight so far, but when you consider that Hoolahan set up 9 in 36 last year, it is pretty safe to assume that Snodgrass is still an enigma. In fact Snodgrass only set up 6 goals last year, so we can assume that he is actually more important to Leeds this year than he was last year.
So do you think we should have pushed the boat out to get him in the summer??
17. Snodgrass doesn''t seem to be pulling up too many trees this season yet. Did we do well to miss out on him or would he have had more to offer than our current wide men?
18. Do you think that we fall into any other clubs ''most hated'' category, (apart from the obvious lot down the road), and if so who & why?
19. I would put him in the category of a NCFC legend and he would always be in my all time City best team. As far as him leaving us for United is concerned, he was just furthering his career and at least he made a good go of it not like the others that have left us over the years only to end up regretting it!
20.
Memories can play tricks on you. Until recently, I had forgotten that Jimmy Bone only played 39 games for us. He was an instant success at Carrow Road, an out and out attacker who really put himself about. The crowd loved him and as someone else said, with Cross, we had our first top level strike partnership. He was brilliant in Division 2, but, like the rest of the team, found Division 1 a slightly different proposition, and was transferred early in the New Year ( a swap deal that ultimately was a key reason for us escaping relegation - but that''s a different story). As a young teenager, Jimmy Bone was my hero, not least because he scored the club''s first ever top flight goal, but as I said, he wasn''t actually around very long. Tell you something though, his style would have still gone down a storm today. Fans of today would have loved his aggression.
21. Thought he had a very poor game today and Otsemabor would probably have been a better option. At least we now have some quality options in that position though. Hopefully one of them can find some real form and make the position theirs.
