1. I would choose WBA They stayed up have the money to spend and will also probably pay him more. he could fail with us in the champs and be toast. If you think your good at your job why not have a go at the highest level possible.
 2.
I wouldn''t be without reservations regarding Zola being appointed but I think he''s being quite harshly dismissed here. At West Ham he arrived just as the Icelandic owners were withdrawing their backing, high profile players had left and he relied on blooding several youth team players in his time. Yes, they flirted with relegation but did enough to avoid it still producing a decent footballing side, all in quite tricky circumstances. He was replaced by Avram Grant, and we all know how that ended. He inherited an unremarkable Watford side with the job of blending a huge number of loan players into a competitive outfit. They only just missed out on automatic promotion in his first season, again whilst playing a decent brand of football. After losing some key payers in the summer last season they struggled to ever get going and he did a most rare and dignified thing in resigning. Whilst it''s not a CV littered with one success after another I think he''s proven he can put together a good footballing side that will play with flair and be competitive, even in less than ideal circumstances. If nothing else I would be intrigued to see how he got us playing but if promotion is the be all and end all then he''s among the riskier options.
Please dont post logical stuff like this :-) Zola is a good manager who plays attractive football which is the opposite of what we have been served up. Please correct me if i am wrong but he got 9th in the premier league with West Ham playing very good football. Then the money went and the new owners came in and said everyone is for sale and totally undermined him.... he still did not get relegated and finished 5 points above the drop. West Ham went down the year after with Zolas replacement A Grant. Then you go to watford where using a lot of loanees got to 3rd position almost beating hull to the premier league again playing good football. This season yes it has been crap for him (loads of players lost which is the price of just missing promotion and playing nice football) but then in the cup they almost beat us recently and dominated possession and scored goals right up until the end. Maybe he is not the leading candidate but he is by no means a bad manager/crap option and if i was a player especially a young player if Zola tells you your good I bet you feel like your good. I grew up on the passing football of the Stringer/Walker era, if there is a chance to have someone who plays the "Norwich Way" I would seriously consider it. :-)
 3.

1. I could win the Scottish Premier league as manager of Celtic.2. He''s ginger.
1- no you couldn''t 2- so are your pubes
I dot think he is a bad choice... just that if your going to bring someone in they should have either won the champs or have managed in it before to a high level.
 4. One of our issues was that we have to many championship quality players. Ergo next year we have a very good championship team. I don''t agree we are the largest club as that comes done to whatever metric you use to define "biggest" As for Cardiff an Fulham a lot will depend on their players etc etc the next few months will give a better impression.
 5. Becchio looked very immobile and from what I have seen would need tactics to cater for this. Danny Graham very good player at this level and should be looked at.
 6. Not a bad player if thats the way we want to play. Was in a promotion side before bolton certainly a good squad player at n10 Not a bad shout if the price was right and the tactics needed him.
 7. If your advertising a job "get team into premier league" would it be logical not to interview those who have the experience of doing just that job? My only concern would be how it would work with the existing framework as old school managers want total control. The beauty with him is that it not one flukey promotion he has done it with different teams, situations and players. I don''t care about his image or if the fickle nature of fans because a few wins and we will love him. I would meet him for interview definitely based on his CV and if he happy to work with in the framework of the clubs structure and finances he would be someone I would consider.
 8. Definitely one for the championship Hooper Becchio and a fast striker like Britt Assombalonga That should be enough firepower for the playoffs at least based on previous performance. The irony is Hooper is more valuable now if we go down.
 9. Its so easy to be moral when your the one who is not loosing tens of millions. Why not pay some lawyers a few hundred thousand if there is a the smallest of chances. If there was no rules broken then there would be no complaint. Its not personal its just business
 10. I dont think McNally should go But then I dont think we need a CE on 1.7 million either. If you think about it thats quite a lot of money for non playing staff and we did not pull off any good transfer dealings since last summer nor did we make a management a change when the writings on the wall. I cannot do his job so I am not going to pretend i know whats best, however is he going to take a pay cut to drop down? I assume/hope a good chunk of renumeration is bonus related otherwise the relationship could go sour quite quickly once money gets tight. Does McNally have shares?
 11.
Loads of excuses about the system. At the end of the day being able to pass and trap the ball is a key aspect irrespective of the role. He has been terrible.
You can slice it any way you like but this is the truth. How the hell did we sign a guy for 8.5 million who''s basic game seems so unsound. I can''t see him staying if we can get over 3 million he has to go as failing again in the champs would be diabolical. He must know this also one season is a mistake two bad seasons and its ????
 12.
Having all season resisted the temptation to enter the MOTD debate, tonight''s programme surely plummets new depths. Us and Palace were out of duty merited a question from Linekar but after around 15 seconds the "pundits" on each occasion somehow managed in politicianesque fashion work the answer round to their favourite subjects. Then to cap it all in previewing Wednesdays programme which features matches involving 4 yes FOUR teams, including ONE in danger of relegation the only mention is of City (the Manchester version) and their "reposte". Doesn''t a that say something about all that''s wrong with the game- I know lots of kids that watch all this sort of stuff and many who think there''s only 4 or 5 teams in the premier league. I''ve no idea who produces this for BBC but surely the has to be a better formula than this drivel we are served up week after week. It''s not just sour grapes but if this was party political stuff there would have to be a better balance.
Rule 1 : When on hundreds of grand a year don''t bite the hand that feeds you MOTD know the score it does not pay to give respect to the little teams why waste air time on nobodies.
 13.

The thing is FF, even in the Championship there are many sides with much wealthier owners than ours and our parachute payments don''t last long, I don''t think we can afford luxury of gambling on an unknown quantity with a "see how it is in January" style appointment, it could well be our best chance of getting up wasted. History tells us that if you can''t do a West Brom or West Ham you run a very real risk of doing an Ipswich, Foresy or Leeds. We have to give ourselves the best possible opportunity of success in the first season.
I don''t disagree with you but there are so many factors at play. The reality is that the club is someones private property and outsiders are always a risk. I see the temptation I also cannot see the CE staying on 1.7 million so either thats coming down more than half or its going to be a very large change.
It just so crap getting relegated. I hope there is money in the kitty to at least give a new manager a good go

 15.
No, I''m not. Just a realistic supporter of 34 years.
If he does a good job of the last game it would be tempting to give him till January. Its logical however to get an experienced manager who knows how to get promoted. Neither way assures success and it seems atm we need a new spine to the team after departures. An excellent striker, creative midfielder and defender (I am assuming turner and Bassong will be off. I would like turner to stay) I think our young players are good enough to augment a strong core but not enough to prosper on their own. I see our team as an institution that cannot compete with the massive money at the top of the game and should always strive to develop and bring forward young players in a progressive approach to the game. That takes stability and a top down integration that can be destroyed every time the manager is changed and they bring their own team in. Its not going to be easy though and there are going to be a number of players who need shifting and wheeling and dealing which as we have seen with CH buys is a large chunk of the job. Maybe another way to put it is this would you keep adams and have another million to spend on a star striker.
 16.
Agree to a point FF, we could not just go gung-ho as it would have probably been suicide. BUT playing down the clock in the final 10 when we have held them to 0-0, and when they need to chase the game themselves? What on earth made us think it was likelier that Sunderland would lose at home in both their final games, than us scoring a late winner? It seemed very odd tactics to me....we needed a win much more than a draw.
Its not easily done though the lads where out on their feet. Maybe it could have been done via substitutions..... Sunderland where the same just they got their penalty and we did not.
 17. We would have been destroyed if we went for it any more. In almost every position Chelsea where faster and tried to get in behind. The only option was they way we played and hope for a break away goal. We just don''t have enough pace either upfront with an actual fast striker, imagine one as fas as redmond and as large as Elmander thats the type we should have signed. We also don''t have a fast midfielder who can power forward with the ball or a number 10 who can drop back to do that job (I had hoped Fer was that guy). The best mid table sides have lots of pace and play the same game plan ...the top sides have to win at home so you defend and then open them up on the break. I assumed CH knew this but from the signings we made.....
 18. If he has another good performance against arsenal it will be a case of devil you know vs devil you dont.
 19. I did mean team in the premier league I did see that apparently the revenue outside the club is approx. 60 million +
 20.
Doesn''t matter if it''s called football or soccer does it? Fact is the team we all support hasn''t been playing either well enough this season! - JF YES!!!!!!!!!!
I am disappointed as this must be the most avoidable relegation in history. Everyone saw the team could not score goals... nothing was done to correct this massive issue. Yes people will not be able to see streams but Think of the staff who will need to be made redundant following relegation. I hope the directors of the club have clauses in their contracts reducing their renumeration as apparently the CE is on well over a million a year is this needed in the championship? Would you just resign when on big bucks? No you would not. Many on here act like the CE is the owner who will just no pay himself when the going gets tight.... The logic would be that like the players why should they take a pay cut if not contractually obliged to do so? Think of all the city pubs that have been showing the games, a trade where aside from this, has been little good news in this recession. Think of the hotels who have been boosted by the large teams bringing loads of rich fans, teams that stay in hotels before the match, tv international guests and journalists etc etc Think of the city overall less publicity and kudos from not having a team This relegation is bad news
 21.

I still think we''ll go with Adams.
Even though i refuse to criticise Adams as he had an impossible task, appointing him as full time manager would be a ludicrous, tin pot descision of the highest order. So it wouldn''t surprise me if that''s exactly our board do. Still think Mackay is Delia''s wet dream though, and nailed on, if he wants the jobs.
Its now a different job than the one Adams was given. He wont be augmenting a side of players he knows, it will be wholsale changes and it has to be as this side dont look good enough to get promotion. I hope Adam stays and I want the board to get an experienced promotion winning manager wot work with Adams and the rest of the setup to rebuild the team to get promoted next season. It has to be brutal everyone who wants out needs to be got rid off asap as you can either come right back up .... or go down to league 1 again. If this means a Neal Warnock type then so be it
 22.
Fair points Reggie, but I fear wages could have a bearing on the club''s decision with Ricky. I don''t think they''ll look to offload him, but if they receive an offer of £6m plus, I think they''d probably take it as its not guaranteed he''ll score goals in the championship, and if we''ve kept becchio and hooper, both with good championship pedigree, it would be less of a gamble to keep them as their wages are probably more affordable. I''m only guessing though - maybe hooper is on more than Ricky?
At this moment in time RVW coming good = managing to get rid for more then 3 million.
 23. McNally/the board took a chance in January not spending any money and it did not pay off. Lets be realistic we did not spend as much as other teams and our 3 attacking major signings..... where crap. No team our size can pay out so much for so little and hope to remain in the league. However the silver lining is there is less debt and relegation is not fatal as long as the wages come down proportionally. So I would say McNally should stay but obviously not at the premiership wages/bonus as before. There is going to be a lot of buying and selling this summer and its best not to have total chaos behind the scenes.
 24.
This sort of thing annoys me. I heard someone on Canary Call saying it was the best squad we''d ever had earllier in this season. At the time I tweeted about how ridiculous that statement was. Maybe lots of Norwich fans are experts on Dutch and Portugeuse leagues but had anyone actually seen Fer and Van Wolfswinkel play. Elmander had one half-decent season at Bolton but that was it and Redmond is a young winger. Always likely to be inconsistent. Better than Lambert''s team. Well, even Morison, who got a lot of stick, managed 10 goals in his first season. Did Holt get 15? Compare that to this year. Elmander and RVW both with 1, Hooper: 6. Of course, the manager has to take responsibility for the way that they set up and considering he wanted us to play one up front, there is an argument to be had that he signed the wrong strikers for the system but it is not a strong squad.
This is by no means the best squad we have ever had. The shame for me during the last game was this..... remove skill, ability etc etc Manchester United seemed physically more powerful and significantly faster in most positions over the pitch. The only place where we have had pace and power is in defence up front and in midfield we are not fast enough. Which one player in our squad is worth more than 10 million? Snoddy is our best player but even he has no pace which would take him to a top 6 team. Even the last relegated Norwich City team had a better forward line.... much better CH''s only mistake was the forwards not one good signing even redmond has no final product and as good as he will be is not the player to have saved us. RVW might even be one of the worst players I have ever seen playing for Norwich in the Premier league an utter catastrophe
 25. At this moment its unsellable as the business is near or at its potential. The time to buy Norwich was on the down and in debt. It feels to me that maybe that was the problem this season, in Jan the money needed spending but why risk the money why not take the risk and bank the money.
