1. I can''t believe that Pattison doesn''t get more respect from Gunn. He''s a player this club needs in the squad now. OK his form hasn''t been the best but he''s still an good player to have in the squad when you''re battling the drop. Give him a go Gunn... show him some respect!
 2.
come on...please score Norwich..other results gong our way...we are dominating...get in and put our nerves at rest
We can''t score goals...you know that...
 3.
The difference was Gow and Mooney. Gow''s passing, tricks, skills and dribbling made all the difference. Who needs Huckerby when you''ve got Gow!
I''m sorry but I hope you don''t really mean that. Gow has indeed played ONE good game for City...Huckerby has been our greatest players for seasons...! I still wish he''d stayed on this summer!
 4. Good point Beauseant, but now it''s Gunn''s job to keep their feet on the ground and keep them focussed. We all knew Gow was a good signing, he''s just not had a chance yet. Cody is an astute signing!
 5. We''ve just won a battle not the war! I hope they put in the same performance on a regular basis from now on. Otherwise I feel we''re gonna go ...
 6. Completely agree Berks. I feel the same way and I don''t even listen to it anymore... I just check the score ... :-( Still 17000 pl***ers renewed their seasonticket just like that... unbelievable!
 7. There''s nothing left of the what the club stood for when I started supporting
 8. We have been patient enough I reckon, Bryan... How much more do they want our loyal fans to take?
 9.

It''s because we are far too loyal to the club/team/current board. Either that or we just cant be bothered?
I''ve always believed that appointing Gunn was a ploy to stop protests, hmm? seems its working!
Seems you were spot on there Wiz''...
 10. It''s just another example that underlines the fact that the FA Premier League, Sky,... are killing the beautiful game. I can still remember So''ton, Leeds utd., Leicester City, ... being strong clubs with a great fanbase, playing good football. In a way I feel sorry for them.... What''s next... The ManU league on ManU TV The Liverpool League on Reds TV, The Arsenal League.., Chelsea League...?
 11. What are the players, Gunn going to come up with this time? Original ideas... We deserved to win...but were unlucky... A good point, against a decent side.... ie A load of bulls***
 12.
I can''t blame them for it. If it was the other way round we would all be celebrating. It''s the only bit of glory they''ll get this year. Sadly it''s at our expense.
Yep, right there Karl...you just reap what you sew... Don''t blame them for it...we''re just crap...period
 13. My grandfather was the first I heard saying this: "If you wanna stay in there you''ve gotta win your home games". He was talking to my father, while his team were battling the drop back in ''86. Well, we''re not winning them so conclusion: drop is foregone conclusion. I know this has been a stereotype subject over the last four weeks, but it is goddamn'' reality now. I don''t want it, you don''t want it but I really believe it is unavoidable this season. Reason: There are so many!!! "This season is just about the lowest I have NCFC seen fallin''" quote: John C.: Season ticket holder + City fan since 1955 I haven''t been a supporter that long, but this must say enough about the state we''re in, I just don''t know how some of the fans can stay upbeat about it
 14.
What a great post by SNAP and reply from Gazza. I would agree that our Board members live in a slightly deluded world not entirely divorced from that of the failed bankers of which we''ve heard so much of lately. As Elton John sang, " Sorry seems to be the hardest word....." With the benefit of much expert coaching the bankers found saying sorry to be in their best interests when recently hauled before the Commons Select Committee but they still gave the impression of still believing they were in the right. To be fair they could claim with some justification that everyone was caught out by the speed at which events overtook them. Sadly I don''t think the Board of NCFC can similarly use this as an excuse for what has happened to our Club in recent years. Perhaps the cause of our present woes goes back to that fateful day back in December 1994 when first choice goalie Bryan Gunn was injured at Nottingham Forest. The team were at the time well placed in the League and the previous majority shareholder, Robert Chase, believed our status was assured. Rather than invest in a seasoned campaigner that would probably have cemented that status took the cheap decision to fill the void with the inexperienced Andy Marshall. A fatal decision it turned out to be as the season turned to dust with relegation to what is now the Championship and the eventual upheaval and messy ousting of an unrepentant Chase. Popular opinion declared that we must never again put ourselves in a similar position with a majority shareholder holding such power. Of course that is precisely what we did do with the intervention of Delia Smith and Michael Wynn-Jones, but, by virtue of an even greater shareholding, an even greater stranglehold on the Club. I don''t for one minute suggest that the current Board members are not fundamentally good people with the best interests of the Club at heart but they have made some very poor decisions indeed when it comes to running the playing side of NCFC. It''s going over old ground but the roots of our present malaise goes back to the failed '' prudence over ambition ''. If only we''d taken a bit of a gamble in that Premiership season on the playing field we would probably have not been in the mess we find ourselves in now. It could hardly have been worse but that little word '' sorry '' is deafening by it''s silence The Board may bleat on about, " it''s how football finances are these days ", " just look at so-and-so they''re in more of a mess than we are ". Well I don''t really care about '' xxx Football Club '' I care about NCFC and it really pains me to see a very average club like Hull City splash out £5 million on Jimmy Bullard. Ah, the Board might retort, " He''s just gone into surgery for a knee injury ". Again I don''t care, injuries happen. No, what pains me is that '' little ol'' '' Hull have ambition, a word that seems to have flown the Boardroom at our Club many moons ago.  As I said earlier '' sorry '' seems to be the hardest word . The nearest we''ve come to it from this Board was the indirect admission that by appointing Peter Grant they had taken us back two years. Not an apology of course but the nearest to one we''re ever likely to get.... Frankly I''m heartily sick of the way we''re limping along like a wounded animal with the Board powerless to do anything about it. I don''t want to hear Neil Doncaster squeal with delight that we''ll be getting another few thousand from the TV companies. I don''t want to hear that we''ll get a few more thousand if Joe Lewis goes on to play for England in 2011 or whenever. I just want to enjoy watching Norwich City again.   Great Post ...Asms, I completely find myself in what you are saying, I too... JUST WANT TO ENJOY WATCHING, FOLLOWING NORWICH CITY FC AGAIN!
15.
Now even Cureton is coming out with his two pennies worth! ''This is the kickstart we needed'' What a load of tosh...You so called pro footballers shouldnt need any kick starts or anything of the like. You do for a living which most of us would have loved to been able to do,and i for one would have swapped my kncakered right knee at the age of 15 to play anykind of pro football! You should be giving it your all from the start of the season to the end. You earn more money in a month than most do in a year and for a lot less hours! You are idolised by thousands of fans, although none of you deserve it this season! Infact i am so pissed off with you bunch of misfits that i cant be bothered to type out all i was going to say. Tossers! Rant over!
Great Post! Feeling ''s mutual here!
 16.

I''ve seen a lot of posts on here talking as if we are already down, we are not! As a supporter, I will not throw in the white flag when we have so many games to go. I also do not believe that the managment team will give up without a damn good fight, and we have to believe that their passion for the club permeates to the players. We can''t go down in February, but if the players have the same attitude as some on here we could be down by the end of March, and despite the losses they seem to have the best interests of the club at heart. I know effort isn''t the same as results, but hopefully we will get that bit of luck we need to convert performances into results, and then we can build for next season with a fresh start in the CHAMPIONSHIP.   On the ball City!
I basically agree with you, Patches, but there''s a big distinction between thinking we''re already down and fearing the worst. I don''t think that there''s a poster on here (other than Smudger) who won''t be rooting for the team until the very end, but I really can''t see where the points are coming from at present, given our total inability (unlike everyone around us ) to overturn ther form book, with the exception of the Wolves game. We''ll all hurt like hell if we go down, but it will hurt even more if we spend the next couple of months in denial about the situation. I really hope the players and our rookie manager prove me wrong.
Good post Beausant, completely agree with your statement. I just don''t see where the results R gonna come from. Certainly not by community work....
 17.

I agree in some aspects, when we got promoted to the premiership, our fans expectations went through the roof, and they still haven''t come down for some reason..... that took the feel good factor away from the club and made it a place for serial moaners to roam!!!
Of course unlike yourself many of these fans with expectations could remember the Club before Delia got her hands on it, Thirty years of never being out the top division for more than a year at a time.
Great point, Buckethead, I still can''t believe my eyes when I look at the table. Maybe I look over my shoulders too much, but watching a video of the 92/93 campaign or even one of the 90/91 campaign and then lookin'' at the table now, just leaves me wondering.... Bad directors, bad management...but still great fans...
 18. Here we go again... TALKIN'' about it...! They take us all for granted, we''re just too nice to them
 19.

Whatever happened to the attitude "support your team through thick and thin" Your a laughable fan
Some of us have been supporting our team through thick and thin for the past 30 years my friend and we''re pissed off and have every right to be so!!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree completely, we''ve been treated like sh** by the board
 20.
We are now in the bottom 3, with most teams around us still having at least 1 game in hand.  To survive we will need at least 6 wins and probably even more, what depresses me is I can  not see where these wins will come from, its very easy to say we will win this game and win that one, but the fact is we have not been. As far as I can see its Charlton Southampton us or Plymouth for the drop, and on current form I do not hold much hope. This is how I see it as vey best and I mean really at best, it is very unlikely we will do more than this: Norwich v Burnely  Win, Norwich V Coventry Win,  OPR v Norwich  Loss,  Blackpool V Norwich Draw, Norwich V Cardiff  Loss, Norwich V Plymouth Win, Birmingham V Norwich  Loss, Norwich V Sheffield Wed Win, Swansea V Norwich  Loss, Norwich V Watford Win, Ipswich V Norwich Loss, Norwich V Reading Draw, Charlton V Norwich Draw This gives us of the last 13 games 5 wins, 3 draws and 5 loses.  Total points 18 which leaves us on 50 points, I think at least 3 short, but I hope not.  I think it tells us all just how important the next two home games are. I would almost go as far as saying its 6 points or we have had it! So who is to blame, how did a club with so much history, such a strong fan base, and who was only in the premier leaugue a few years ago, find itself in this situation and why "might we go down"?  It is so easy to point fingers but this is my opinion, (I think we must all remember we are not too good to go down and are currently where we deserve to be). The board over a numbers of years has not invested wisely in the club Poor choice of managers and coaching team (although I think the current one can do a job but have little to work with) Selling of best players To many loan players Money from big transfers seemingly vanishes Players who are not good enough (not hier fault, they simply are not) A team that does not seem up for the fight (just look how Barnsley and Watford last night can grind out a result when needed) To much inconsistency Not willing to sell club when it was perhaps worth something and where the money could have been used to build a team I feel really depressed, living in another country you feel this great pride for your own and especially your city and club, I just can not believe we might be in division 1 (old division 3) but I think and fear it might soon become a reality. Please Norwich save us all from this plight and get the wins we all so want OTBC   St.John
Great post SJC! I completely agree with your comments, I''m in the same position you''re in and share your feelings. I''m taking relagation into account, because I just can''t see this team getting the results needed.
 21. I don''t want my club to get relegated, noway! But the way it''s been falling, I think it is now a realistic proposition. We are not too good to go down as we used to be! I''ve got so much respect for teams like Burnley, Hull City, etc... Who''ve in some sort of way made their own luck... Relegation would be devastating, yes, but if it happens I hope our youngsters, our great academy will benefit from it. We certainly wouldn''t need these overpaid prem. League wannabee''s on loan!
