  1. Last time it appeared that the biggest wages were paid to the likes of Drimic and Duda who barely contributed whilst I suspect those who played in both leagues also benefitted from significant rises. It didn't work so maybe we need to try something different?
  2. Lotus has a business presence in the UK and the business it is trying to attract is legal in its geographical sphere of operations. No hot dogs in view.
  3. Not a bad idea to play them early before they get in their stride though my number 1 preference would be the weekend before big euro contests.
  4. Great news that the Club have done a u turn. I am not impressed by the management textbook platitudes. They need to do far more to demonstrate that their moral compass is now functioning.
  5. Fair point. Remember though we had an unidentified club spokesperson talking about post event due diligence. Do they do this due diligence when they appoint the staff or before they take any important decision? And why does the spokesperson remain unidentified when the Club is supposedly committed to transparency. This goes beyond one individual.
  6. The silver lining is that Uncle Fred has some of his Chinese currency plus some bitcoins thrown in for good measure whilst a fair portion of the rest of the contributors have woken up to the fact that our Community Football Club needs a little tweaking to find its way forward.
  7. Accountability should be a team thing. The Board should show some accountability especially bearing in mind the circumstances of the departure of Ben's predecessor which led to Ben changing his job role for which he ought to have received training or mentoring. It would be interesting to know if that happened. My belief is the Club has long standing weaknesses in admin roles. How about some constructive solutions rather than sacking?
  8. A judgement can never be made on selling one player. What is unknown to us is whether the Club have identified replacements? Given the talk only a month or two ago about how it will be better next time around let us perhaps believe that they have. Hope they will not use Covid risks as a reason for not doing so as reasonably this has always been a doubt and is potentially not that substantial relative to Premier League TV money.
  9. Absolutely!. The reality is though that at the same time they announce a Supporters Panel, they announce THEIR decisio to retain unpopular away membership fees. How about some genuine supporter representation courtesy of the custodians?
  10. Good to know the first meeting has taken place. It would be interesting to know how the Panel will inter relate with other fan groups such as the Canaries Trust? Hopefully it will be seen as the top of the fan consultation chain given that it has been elected?
  11. I recommend checking out whether the funds are to be retained on the Balance Sheet or written off to the Income and Expenditure Account? Not that everyone understands the difference in principle including many of the Carrow Road hierarchy.
  12. Given Shareholders, Bondholders, Season Ticket Holders, Home Members, Away Members, International Members, I would recommend that BK puts in a call to the Guinness Book of Records.
  13. I am delighted that the foreign legion who get so much attention from the Club will have the opportunity to dip their hands in their pockets and help out us locals.
  14. An interesting video and clearly given the whole spectrum of the last 25 years they are entitled to give themselves a pat on the back for footballing performance particularly since 2009. The way they express themselves is nonetheless very curious at times. I wonder if the CEO who initially had little enthusiasm for developing the Catering service is the same one who eventually got paid £1,000 per day bonus for the performance of same in a relegation season? Why was it so necessary for Stuart Webber to transform the Club post David McNally? ( I agree that it was but why do they agree?) And in the final analysis the people who paid for the training ground development and heaps of interest besides were the shareholders that is 53% themselves, 16% Michael Foulger and 31% the remaining shareholders who had no democratic vote on the process.
  15. I think our constitution permits 8 board directors. Burnley have been very successful doing that until their recent changes without any salaried, here today gone tomorrow, football personnel featuring. Seems like a good model to follow particularly given its evolutionary nature and their success in retaining Premier League status. On the subject of Carrow Road, if the Club doesn't want to embrace commercial connections to solve the problem Delia identified in the 2016 Times interview concerning young peoples opportunity to attend, perhaps the Club could do exactly the opposite. Cancel the seats where commercial clients own more than one in their own name, reduce the commercial areas of the stadium and introduce youth or child pricing in all areas?
  16. Quite. We have transformed our performance on the pitch since the days of Andy and Roger but what about off It? In addition to the Premier League TV bounty the Clubs commercial customer income is doubtless as high as it has ever been. If we had the likes of Andy and Roger or their equivalents on board we may be capable of finding a solution and turning some of the largesse into a legacy. Filling the 3 vacant positions on the Board with suitable individuals may also help generate some imagination?
  17. Marketing in those days took on board a wider long term focus than it appears to these days where the emphasis seems to be purely on those who will pay the biggest price.
  18. Andy's big success at Carrow Road was to fill the ground following its last substantial development being the new South Stand. This he achieved magnificently with a competitive pricing structure and a little help from Darren Huckerby and Co. I am sure many clubs will value that skill set tremendously following the pandemic. Somewhat sad that the current structure of football at the top end tends to create a different focus.
  19. A superb personality always with a smile.
  20. Some further credit to the Club is that they ARE charging International members to demonstrate their loyalty though no price quoted. What would be a fair price given that they don't face the range of charges we home based fans face to anything like the same degree? How about £100?
  21. It will raise the princely sum of around £200,000 of a budget of £125,000,000. A reasonable levy on loyal supporters in the circumstances? Why no levy on the much touted foreign legion?
  22. Well done to all those selected. Good to see that the 3 ladies have been selected as that does create a better gender balance. Disappointed to see that the Club has retained the away member charge expecially in relation to season ticket holders. This is exactly the kind of issue upon which they should seek the SPs approval or hopefully non-approval.
