1.
most of the players norwich have got i had never heard of before we signed them !!! what is he talking about ..
Who have you heard of below the Championship?
 2. I think that at least a small part of you would be gutted if we got 10 points from our first five games. Am I wrong?
 3. Why would you be happy to give something you supposedly treasure so highly to somebody who might be an absolute bastard? Before assuming Notts County are suddenly going to do amazingly, maybe take some time to read about how their last few takeovers have gone. Good luck to them and hopefully their long suffering fans, who didn''t jack in their season tickets at the first sign of trouble, will get to see some decent football, but logically some take overs will be very good for clubs and some will be disasterous.
 4.

Why not though?? If you working with a limited budget you''ve got to do what you can. I''ve heard that 3 of those players are likely to be earning deals soon, not going to say which 3 though but hopefully some of these guys are good enough and along with Lee and a couple others we''ll go into this season with a good squad.
Good squad ? joking right , 3 players with something about them in the whole squad Doc , Steff ,and Hooly the rest are at best unproven and at worst non league quality.
How the b*gg*ring f**k do you come to the conclusion they are "non-league quality"?
 5.
Cody McDonald Has 3 Kids - All Boys!!!!
Is that true? or a joke I''m failing to get?
 6.

Ian Culverhouse Spencer Prior Mike Milligan (booked) Adrian Forbes John Polston
Agree with most of these although i''d probably put Forbes under the title of over-rated ;)
Over-rated by many yes. But, strangely I didn''t really rate him, I just liked him because his running style was so bizarre, and he seemed to care not if the ball was still with him when charging down the line. I actually think, that personally, I only remember this and not his better qualities. Always looks pretty sharp when I''ve seen him play since leaving City, albeit at in L1/L2. Gotta love Ian Culverhouse though. Most under-rated player I can think of. Was fantastic for us, and yet even some who were there at the time seem to see him as an average squad player. I remember him being vital for us especially when we were playing the sweeper system away from home.

 8. I''ve got a mate who watches Spurs, says he has a mate who goes to reserve games, who says Mtandari is versatile and quality, and he was annoyed they let him go. He went on to say that is why Spurs are rubbish, because they don''t bring young "homegrown players" into their squad like Arsenal and Man United. Not the most comprehensive scout report ever but hey...
 9. £1m and we should bite their hands off. 700k and a decent sell on clause would be about right. Nobody in their right minds would pay £2m for Clingan. Tidy player but nothing most Championship clubs don''t already have, or could aquire.
 10. Surely the FA are going to have to put the penalty up to 20 points. From the buyers perspective, lose 3 wins and a draw or £30m? Not rocket science.
 11. To actually address the subject of the post I will add that McVeigh if played in the hole behind the strikers could be very good. I think you''d have to play the current fashionable formation of 4-2-3-1, or the dreaded diamond to use him though. I''m unconvinced we should change too much from 4-4-2, given the number of new players and the relative stupidity of footballers. I don''t think McVeigh is worth changing the system for, and I''m not sure where he would fit in. You cannot argue with his passing and ball control, widely credited as the city player with the best technique, only the staff seeing him train can really make the call, which is a good job really.
 12.
I worry that people have this idea of what 3rd teir football is like based on absolutly nothing! Tall strikers, long ball, muddy pitch, physical strength the key etc etc. It''s not the 1970s anymore guys. We need to put a Norwich City team together and play the Norwich City way- that way we will be superior and gain promotion. Anything else and we will end up with about 65-70 points and miss the playoffs.
Absolutely spot on. A lot of people seem to think that you have to play Sheffield Rules in League''s 1 and 2. There are some good players, perversely it seems to me you actually get a lot more of a mixture of sizes in the "lower leagues". It''s the Premiership and Championship where everyone is big, fast and strong. League 1 has a lot of classy little players who are technically good but precisely because they are not big enough they are playing in L1. Even if it is the case that everyone is six foot and plays hoofball, then we need skillful players who can pass the ball and we will do well. The clubs who have won promotion from L1 in recent years have often played better passing and counter attacking football than Championship teams. For example Blackpool, Bristol City, Doncaster, Swansea.
 13.
What about the iphone and blackberry''s? Unlimited content on the train, bus, in the pub. Not just 10 pages! Personally, technology has meant that I am constantly reading links from interesting sites and blogs wherever I am. I stopped buying magazines and newspapers.
Fair point. Haven''t really got into the whole internet on your phone thing. I''m just sentimental and scared of change! I just quite like hard copies. Technology seems to constantly attempt to ruin my day, but to be fair it''s probably because when I needed a new phone I spend twenty quid. I''m sure I-Phone''s are great but relying on it so much would frighten me!
 14.
Blogs have replaced fanzines. Why would you want to buy a printed fanzine with outdated infomation when City fans have access to news and opinions in real time on the web in many locations, including this board.
Because I don''t wanna take my laptop on the bus, to the pub, in the bathroom etc. Whereas a handy little fanzine can keep me company throughout the day. Also Y''Army was very funny and well written. I remember "Liverpool are on the Telly again", and later "Man U are on the Telly again" but what other fanzines have we had over the years
 15. You think being taken over at the last minute by Swiss bankers is a desireable situation to be in. Alarm bells would be ringing for me. Swiss. Bankers.
 16. Sorry, I forgot the rules. It''s just annoying. In a weird way, people like Loan can never really be wrong. If they just say everyone''s rubbish, then we under-acheive they say I told you so. If we do well, they just say it isn''t good enough and that we should be doing better, and everything''s still rubbish.
 17.
And if you think we will get out of this division with a team full of non league standard players then i pity yours .Nobody would listen this last 3 or so years when it was as clear as day this club were heading for relegation , a few of us on here could see it but the blind wouldnt listen .Its the same now , as it is every year , and you will all be let down yet again , but then maybe a whole lot of you deserve to be .
I don''t think anybody thinks we will win promotion with "a team of non-league standard players". The difference is most rational human beings would look at players such as Nelson and Tudor-Jones and notice that they have played their football in Leagues 1 and 2, to a reasonable standard, so are not non-league level. Quite clearly. Even Gill who has played in the dreaded "non league" (as had Stuart Pearce, Ian Wright, Chris Waddle, George Elokobi) was just part of a promotion winning League 2 side. Essentially the same equivilent record as Clingan had last season. But then you probably think he was a crap freebie aswell. Most rational people see the new players we have brought in as decent L1/L2 players, whether they are good enough for the top of League 1 remains to be seen, but they might be, and they might not. Evidence suggests it''s a pretty even bet.
 18.
haha[;)]
That would be wonderful. I''d take Fatboy Slim''s record company over an unpopular insurance company, who have taken a sudden interest in Norwich City, just as they are taking the Norwich out of their name.
 19. A chap walked into the shop I was working in last year in Queenstown, New Zealand wearing a city shirt. It was rather surreal given my hungover state and six months outside Norwich. Was lovely to have a chat about Erik Fuglestad with somebody who knew who he was. Other less dignified characters were discussed and all in all an hour of my working day was gone in a flash.
 20. I don''t think it is a problem that he is/was a journalist. I find it funny that so many people on here, have missed a golden opportunity to pile more sludge and sh!t on the people who put money into our club. The reason (I suspect) that many did not know this is because they spend their time on here, flying wildly from crisis, to conspiracy, and never actually reading anything informative. Scouring Archant sites for badly written sticks to beat the board with. I am constantly surprised by the sensationalist and ridiculous opinions of Norwich City fans, and have found, alas it is better to laugh than cry. eg. "OH MY GOD, THE CLUB IS DOOMED, WE''VE SIGNED PAUL McVEIGH!" or he might just be training with us because he lives up the road and he''s a nice chap, and long-serving Canary. Just try and understand that a club''s board is going to tell half-truths and use "spin", to paint the club in the best possible light. If they didn''t, you''d have burnt the ground down by now. Hopefully this goes someway to explaining my flawed logic. I have no problems with Wynn-Jones being a journalist and have been aware of this for some time, I don''t think he ever made a secret of it. I am slightly concerned about this Stephan bloke but not because he is a journalist but because he is working for Archant, who keep the EDP and Evening News afloat by peddling out badly written, un-edited, gumph. Ensuring they have a NCFC story every day, or nobody would buy the thing. If they''re really desperate they write an article about Towergate''s latest profits and a dubious timeline of events regerding Cullum/NCFC. I resent this attention grabbing headline, cheating me out of 42p but that''s journalism, that''s business, that''s life sadly. Please don''t imply that Wynn-Jones being a journalist means there is any more spin than at any other club. Finally, can you really take no comfort at all in the fact that we know who runs our club and that they are not going to sell off the ground and turn it into an Asda.  That''ll do for me, if that means a decade in League 1 fine. I''d rather that than be Portsmouth [soul-less shell of a football club], and if that makes me mad, or happy clappy, then fine.
 21. Ok, the game''s up. The only conclusion anyone can come to from that article is that she is EVIL, EVIL, EVIL, how dare she get rich after failing her 11 plus? How nasty of her to start as a washer-uper and work her way up with no formal training. EVIL EVIL. I also find it hilarious that after all the board abuse on here, some of you have only just worked out that Wynn Jones is/was a journalist.
 22.

Its simple Derby paid out £750,000 for Dickinson , if they are to be tempted to sell they will want to get at least £500,000 back , Norwich have probably made a couple of bids around the £100,000 mark .Its not the first time a selling club has said our offers are way off the mark .
Is anything you post based on fact? Or is it all negetive assumptions? I am struggling to see why you support the club seeings as you seem to hate it/everything associated with it so much!
Whats to like about this club at the moment , Delia Smith, cannot stand her , Bryan Gunn  a joke posing as a manager , League 1 football  and non league standard players . Everythings rosy, lets all clap along like you and a few thousand other idiots that are running this club into the ground.
If you think Nelson, Gill and Tudor Jones are non league standard, then you have not seen them play. Simple as that. Some questions for you if you will humour me... Have you watched a match involving any of those three players? Have you watched any football matches below Championship level? Do you subscibe to Sky Sports and spend your days furiously stroking yourself to revolving images of Christiano Ronaldo and Steven Gerrard?
 23. I''m surprised he hasn''t already signed for Huddersfield.
 24. Can anyone confirm if Matty Pattison has turned up for pre season training?
 25. Also, blatently McVeigh is only training with us to help him keep fit and get a contract somewhere. It does nobody any harm, doesn''t cost too much money, though the canteen may have issues. Gunn has said it''s open as I''m sure he would if asked about any player who was training at the club, if the edp asked, it''s a bit mean to say "No he''s too crap for league 1". It''s just the club being nice to a long serving former player, can''t we just do that, it''s nice and we''ve done it plenty of times before.
