Talk shite saying that a season long loan deal has been turned down by Wet Sham. They also say "why on earth would Norwich want him?" And I have to say I agree.

He''s allowed to look at the whole picture. One swallow does not make a summer.

Snoddy in the hole, Pilks and Redmond on the wings
Scooby replied to Crazy Eddie's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Leave Elmander there. There were signs Saturday that this will work given a little time to bed in. -
Really Stan ? Wanyama was pants, thank god we have Leroy. BJ''s distribution was its usual hit and miss but otherwise he was nails.

Leroy Fer - the best Norwich midfielder since...
Scooby replied to Yellow Messiah's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Brilliant performance from Leroy today. How he got legs to some of those balls to win tackles that seemed to be long gone. You would have thought yellow card imminent and up he gets and runs off with the ball leaving so''ton players completely bemused. Great vision and distribution too. 10/10 young man. -
Well QH. I''m not taking anything away from the lad. He played well today and his goal was nothing short of superb, but FFS there is a serious need of a reality check here. People calling him possibly our greatest ever winger? He''s played 3 games and scored one goal. Yes he has great pace, yes he has great skill but these alone do not make him a complete player nor a "great" one. He is young, rough around the edges and has much to learn. If you actually bothered to watch the whole match ( were you there?) you would have seen that the number of times he hung Garrido out to dry was criminal, the number of times he gave the ball away, almost as bad, the number of times he took the wrong option with players in better positions, awful. Yes, he is an exciting prospect and a very good young talent but I''ve never seen so much over reaction. Leroy Fer was fantastic today and will be the complete player long before Redmond, and for me today man of the match would be Michael Turner, he was awesome today. Totally in command alongside a very good Bassong.

That, Buzz, is spot on!! -
Bid for Pilkington rejected..
Scooby replied to Overrated, Overpaid and Over Here!'s topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
No way do we want to lose Pilks. He''s head and shoulders our best winger. Two footed, and a far better end product than either Snodgrass or Redmond. -
Bet Garrido loves him too..
Kerching !! Lol. Major woosh for those who seem to want to have his babies based on one goal.

Too many theatricals from Snoddy

Reminds me of that old story "The Scottish winger who cried wolf". -
Lowering deadline day expectations?
Scooby replied to Cantiaci Canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Well we definitely need another striker! It appears we only have 3 as Hooper is midfielder. -

Bugger, late again! Sorry Swindon. I was hoping to give you this one to mull over. Estonian league and Kalju vs Kuressaare. With their season well under way JK Nõmme Kalju are 2nd with a 10-1-0 record whilst FC Kuressaare are bottom with a 0-1-10 away record. Its a Monday night game so JK Nõmme Kalju home win for me please. -
Great interview. He comes across as a well rounded level headed guy who knows how lucky he is and how hard he has to work. Bassong remaining fit is absolutely key to us having a successful season.
-
Mmm. Bale to Real, then fantasy would have Ronaldo to Utd and Rooney to Chelski but I can''t see either of those. Spurs have already lined up someone else, can''t remember his name, so have Chelski with Eto. Where do you see Quag and Toby fitting in? Not having a go, just want to know as I''d like to see them both here.
-
So come on then. How is this affecting us? Please explain who we are going to miss out on.

Starting XI Prediction for Southampton
Scooby replied to grdean's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
What has Hooper being unfit got to do with it?? So you''re saying keep Elmander out of the team because Hoopers not in it? Don''t see your logic there. You play your strongest team, not keep a player on the bench just in case. -
Starting XI Prediction for Southampton
Scooby replied to grdean's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Ok, I''ll have a go: Ruddy Whittaker - Turner - Bassong - Olsson Tettey - Fer Snodgrass - Elmander - Pilkington The Wolf -
Maybe he knows that with another injury, say to the Wolf while Hooper is out, he''ll get a chance. If he can show what he''s made of, with a little bit of luck on his side, he may just make it.

Just one minor problem. If you called him Flemish he''d probably knock your head off. -
[quote user="Jimmy Smith. think Pilks is worth a go on the left. Redmond given a rest and used as a sub. Elmander and RVW up front (call it what formation you want) Fer alongside Tettey in the middle. Back 4 I agree, I don''t care if Bassong wasn''t up to scratch, it was his first senior outing this year and we need him playing. Olsson has to start and i''d say Whittaker is just shading the right back battle at the moment even if i didn''t get carried away with his everton performance like some did. Ruddy back in goal. *************Ruddy*************** Whits**Turns***Bass***Olsson Snod***Tetts***Fer*****Pilks **********Elm********************* ****************RVW************** That''s the team I''d go for too.
Am I the only one who rates Bechio? Well I''m sure Hoots does from his comments at the latter part of the season. The lad is good in the air has good vision and for the few chances he has had I''ve been impressed. Hoillet may be a good shout but not to sacrifice Bechio, at least not as it stands with the striker line up we have at the mo.
I''m with you Bury. Injuries will happen, he will get his chance and hopefully, will prove his worth.

NORWICH GOALS NOW ON SKY SPORTS NEWS
Scooby replied to ReadingCanary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Worth waiting up for. Some cracking goals and showing some real attacking intent. I thought, from the brief highlights that Elmander showed real class, as did Pilks. Hopefully a start for both of them on Saturday, with Elmander playing just behind the Wolf maybe? -
Pilks.
-
No Bassong or Pilks??? Seriously ??? Agree with Elmander but more a 4411 or 451
