  1. Ings may not feature lots for Liverpool, especially with the recent signings they''ve made, then again he might. But if he was to leave, there''d be a lot more Premier League suitors than Burnley for a guy who was in the England side before he got injured.
  2. Any reason, Haggerdoo, you think Danny Ings won''t be played much this season, and, if he did for whatever reason decide to move, might possibly sign for a Championship club?
  3. KeiranShikari, if McCormack and Naismith are your front two, where do Wes/CamJam fit into the side?
  4. I wasn''t aware that loan recalls were only allowed to take place in transfer windows as Bethnal points out, but this doesn''t come as too much of a surprise. Although the EFL and PL, before passing the new FIFA rules, were trying to arrange it so that there were still ways around it for emergency loans to take place and be recalled. Sadly, the EFL website being as naff as it is, I can''t find the new set of regulations for this season, only the previous ones. Either way, Rudd is at a crossroads now in his career. The last two Norwich youth ''keepers to leave have enjoyed mixed success: Steer never made it in the Villa side last year, while Angus Gunn could be getting match time for Man City this season.
  5. In what way would Domenico Berardi be potentially interested in joining Norwich?
  6. It''s not that simple, AJ, as the loan rules have changed for this season, meaning you can only bring someone in during the two transfer windows, with emergency loans removed by FIFA. Why would a club take Rudd on loan from us if we then turned around in October after an injury and recalled him, leaving them without a ''keeper and no way of bringing in another for a couple of months?
  7. Not a chance of Babacar coming to Norwich while we''re in the Championship, even if the transfer fee would likely be lower than McCormack''s touted cost. If Babacar goes this summer, which is very possible, it''ll be a high wage move to the Prem or to a side in the Europa/Champions League.
  8. I''m not criticising his ability, Darth, well aware how good he is. More concerned he''d be able to play 90 minutes week-in, week-out for us.
  9. Would love to see him at Norwich but only if fit. Shelling out 7m on a lad that broke his kneecap and hasn''t played in over a year is a huge risk.
  10. He''s currently being courted by the League winners, Liverpool and Spurs, with Southampton wanting over ÂŁ20m. Think that''s going to be a bit out of our reach this summer.
  11. Notable it only says Russia will be given the boot if there''s trouble inside the stadiums, no mention of events outside.
  12. Bemused that Redmond is now getting flak for taking players on too much after there was a whole thread not long ago where posters were complaining he didn''t do just that enough. He''ll be missed once he''s gone in the summer.
  13. Fifth biggest league in Europe, Donkey? What''s that based on? Size of attendances?
  14. In terms of points against the recognised big teams this season, Wes started in the one-all draw at home to Arsenal, the win away to Man Utd and the goalless draw away to Man City. He also started in the 1-0 losses at home to Man Utd, Arsenal away and Chelsea away, and the defeats at home to Liverpool (4-5) and Chelsea (1-2). So the notion that Wes has been excluded from matches against ''better opposition'' is false.
  15. Apologies for the late reply, Ian. Nothing rhetorical about the questions posed, their purpose were to see, having attempted to answer them, whether you still felt that Redmond was choosing to not attack when the option was available. I''m also aware of Redmond''s limitations and issues of inconsistency, although the latter is exasperated by his time in and out of the team. And, ......and Smith must score, well aware of the score, thanks: Jerome opening goal, Redmond the winning one :) An edit button would be wonderful, though.
  16. Tettey''s Jig''s point is pretty much the crux of the matter when it comes to squad changes. Do we want to retain most of a side that got us promoted twice and would have a very good shot at doing so again but can''t keep us up in the Premier League or try to introduce new players that *might* be able to get us promoted and develop into Prem class players. It''s a difficult one. Two seasons ago we went with the former, adding players too good for the Championship but who had struggled in the top tier and after not strengthening in the summer it''s ultimately cost us. Will be interesting to see what the club go with this time.
  17. Ian, I''m not going to show you written proof as neither party have publicly said it. Although even without the quotes I''m sure you''re capable of working out the different tactics we''ve used and the roles players have been given. And no, the Man Utd and Watford games weren''t the same scenario. Not even close. As mentioned by another poster, Sunderland played Chelsea and were only a point ahead of us. Newcastle were two points ahead and safe at that point. Neil wasn''t going to go full tilt in that situation. A closely-fought win, which could have so nearly happened if Jerome had buried his chance early on, would have seen us out the bottom three. How about answering those questions I originally posed you now?
  18. No, Ian, I''m not saying any of that piffle you''ve written . But Neil has demanded for much of the season that Redmond remains defensively tight, not to break and leave gaps where we could be exploited, instead preferring to build attacks and allow others to advance forward. If you don''t feel that''s the case, go through the questions I originally posed that you choose to ignore and consider if you really believe a young attacking player would all of a sudden after the Newcastle game decide to stop taking players on. And yes, of course the Watford game is going to be different to the Man Utd one. From the way we set up against different opponents to the situation where we had to win last night to have any chance of survival - it''s a lot easier to come out swinging when your back''s against the wall. And I''m sure you''re more than aware playing in the same position does not dictate the same role, which was evident in relation to Redmond and the two games you mention.
  19. Being that he''s likely to be at the Cup of Nations for January and some of Feb, I don''t think we should sign him, especially considering the fees. And that''s even if he wanted to join a Championship team.
  20. Oh, for an edit button. I of course didn''t mean the opening goal at Wembley, but winning.
  21. Ian, why is it ''nonsense'' about the manager restricting him? Do you really think that Redmond has chosen since the Newcastle game to play more defensively by himself? To stroll up the pitch with the ball waiting for those around him to push forward instead of careering down the line and creating something special? To tuck in when he could keep wide and take people on? It really does bewilder me that still now Norwich fans continue to have a pop at one of our best players, suggesting that a young, attack-minded footballer has, for unknown reasons, decided against playing his natural game. A player who stood by us during the last relegation and gave us one of the greatest moments of happiness in the recent past with that opening goal at Wembley. Inconsistency is one thing, but it''s hard to build up a head of steam and maintain any form when you spend far too long on the bench or with your feet tied together by a manager who questioned his own Plan A when we got thrashed by Newcastle and reverted to Plan D. Redmond had four goals in 9 games up to and including the Newcastle game, he managed to net just twice more in 27 appearances thereafter. To think he''s purposefully preventing himself, and in turn the team, from attacking is moronic.
  22. Parma, out of interest, where have you got those wage figures from? Also, I tried to look for your ''vid example names listed earlier'' but couldn''t find, would you be able to post them again please?
  23. "Manages to look better" is the kind of logic that allowed Mark Fotheringham to be captain of this club: utterly flawed. Both Brady and Redmond have been used poorly this season, in turn resulting in limited output. And the idea that the young, attacking Redmond is deciding himself to not push forward and make runs is ridiculous. It''s quite clearly been a tactical ploy by Neil since the Newcastle game.
  24. Apart from tracking back with Mata just before he scored, GJP.
