1.
Had an op on his ankle but will hopefully be fit for the start of next season. Spillane partnering Doc please and cave-brown at right back?
Agree with you Cave-Brown should be given a chance, he''s done well on the reserves, maybe you think the level of the reserves was different from the first team, but if you played an inexperienced player on the full-back, it won''t affect much because you still have the center-half to recover.
2. I would like to see we sign a tall center forward to partner Earnie up front, also more academy players will give chance to impress. Also I can really see Greeno''s going, Gallacher staying. MY starting XI next season: Gallacher/Lewis Colin/Cave-Brown  Doherty  Shackell (captain)  Drury (new right-winger)  Safri/Spillane  Robinson/Hughes  Huckerby Earnshaw/McKenzie  (new center-forward)
3. 3) Use youth! Spillane, both Jarvis'', Cave-Brown, let''s give them a chance to shine! Absolutely correct mate! Again I have to mentioned Cave-Brown was a good right-back, Rossi Jarvis was a very good midfielder.
4.
After Gallagher`s two impressive performances, who would you go for in goal for remainder of the season, (if Green was fit) I think Gallagher has the jersey, and until he has a couple of bad games he should remain our no. 1. I have been a great fan of Green in the past, and as stated on numerous occasions, he has not been at his best for quite a while, so i think a change would be beneficial to everyone.
You got the main point I think. Also what I find that is every time when Gallacher conceded a goal, he was not just standing there, and do nothing!!! You know what I mean.
5.
good for him i would love to have him back here next season to get the overdue goodbye he deserved.
I spoke to him in October in Nottingham when I travelled to England for my holiday, I let him know he should stay in the team because on the week we played against QPR, whose in midfield? Our left back Simon Charlton! If he was still in the club I am sure he will get the call to play!!! But Holty explained he want to play first team football elsewhere, and Nigel Worthington cannot provide, so that''s why he go. It''s a bit shame when Gary Megson take charge of Forest, he was not playing well UNTIL last few months when the manager was sacked. I think the only chance of Gary Holt come back to Carrow Road and say Goodbye, is he wear a Nottingham Forest to play against Norwich next season!!!
6. When you look back 3 or 4 seasons ago, our midfield were Damien Francis, Gary Holt and Phil Mulyrne, any 2 out of 3. I won''t disagree Damo was a good player although he had no heart to play for us in year 2005, but he still had the quality. Gary Holt, although he was poor in passing or dribble theball, but his workrate and covering were none of the current Norwich midfield can match. My point is, not only the manager, but also our back 5 included Robert Green, will have the "habit" of how our midfield can do the attack, or do the cover. Before the start of this season, Nigel sold Francis (force to sell we know) and let Gary Holt go, it also means our soild and attacking midfield partner, were gone! That means our result were gone too! That''s the fault of the manager.
7.
yep,  no-one wants us!   as for the shirt and short thing, wouldnt it make buying the replica things more expensive?
No, the shirt cost won''t be more expensive, it will make the shirt look more smart!!!
8. I know it''s different division but I just cannot believe my eyes!!! Gary Holt - 9 - Outstanding. Never lost possession, great in attack and defence. Unlucky not to score. MOTM http://www.talkforest.com/viewtopic.php?t=21766 Forest won 6 in a row and Gary Holt, our former midfleder was their Man of the match in last 5 games! "Never lost possession" I just cannot believe it! Was he the same Gary Holt we had last season? I would think their current form will bring them to the play-offs final and they will win it -- back to the Championship next season! I think Adam will know this and tell Gary about that! :)
9. Seems many of the teams in the Championship and League 1 clubs have that, it can only boost our club''s income by getting more sponsors, and more funds for buying players; why do we never consider to make a deal?
10. Every played need time to settle down, and we should when Deano transfer to them, he was not fit and carry an injury. I recall when he made the Norwich debut he scored  -- an OG! Given the summer I think he should be the top scorer in the Premiership.
11. Of course I did not go to the game yesterday as I really want to, but from the LIVE commentary, Chris and Neil were absolutely impressed by Michael Spillane''s performance on right-back. I read the news before in this website about Worthy and even Hucks said the kids were not ready yet, but with yesterday''s performance, was our kids really not good enough? We have to know Michael was again played out of his position! Or Worthy did not want us to see the kids was playing much better, than his "great"signings? I understand one game cannot reflect the whole situation, but it was not the first time our young players played well for the first team, but not get a second chance.
12. It would be very nice to see that team played soon: Lewis Cave-Brown  Doherty  Shackell  Drury Henderson  Spillane  Rossi Jarvis  Huckerby Ryan Jarvis  Earnshaw
13. I was a bit more concern about which shirt company will make our new shirt, honestly I was not very satisfied with Xara...:(
14. I would like to see if Andrew Cave-Brown will given a chance, he was a quite good right-back/right wing-back
15. I can do nothing about it but the manager certainly had to take the blame. We know we are 7 points off the play-offs zone, and if we want to make a late run to the play-offs, we need to pick up AT LEAST 7 POINTS to maintain any hope, and we must know play a soild but defensive 4-5-1 formation WOULD NOT win you 3 points. Should only the Norwich fans want the team go to the play-offs, but not the manager?
16. Yes I think it''s wrong to let Charlie go, he was versatile and can fill in any position very well, remember the bullet-liked header at St. Mary''s, he''s even filling Hucks boot!!! But anyway thanks for his great effort for us in last 2 seasons!!! :)
17.
Hopefully we''ll get rid of Xara as kit manufacturers. If Southend and Hartlepool can get Nike kits, why can''t we?
Absolutely agree! Nike, Reebok, UMBRO, Diadora, adidas, lotto or even kappa! But xara...their shorts and pants were just too small for me!!!
18. Our current home shirt will only used for 2005/2006 season, so can we expected...the shirt will be on sale liked the away shirt? HALF PRICE???
19.
Proton and Lotus will not continue our sponsorship? I recall if Proton and Lotus do sponsor us, then we will go to Malaysia for pre-season again, but now seems no chance?
Oh I am right about that sadly...:( http://new.pinkun.com/content/ncfc/story.aspx?brand=PINKUNOnline&category=Norwich&tBrand=PinkUnOnline&tCategory=Norwich&itemid=NOED21%20Mar%202006%2011%3A35%3A49%3A640
20.
Shacks should be City captain next season, look what its done for Reo Coker down at West Ham. Hes about the same age as shack. Pardew saw the potential and didnt care about age despite them being in the premiership.
You are right about Reo-Coker, being a captain not only give responability to the young man, also it''s a pride to him if he always play for his shirt -- that exactly what Shackell was!!!
21.
Drury has come from the lower leagues dont forget.... Watch lower league football and u will see that they dont overlap so much.. it tends to be the big hoof or a winger on his own charging down the wing.. so u have time to get over to him and make the challenge without fear of an overlapping full back....  the thing with Drury is that he still has this mindest somewhat.. it cost us a lot of goals in the premiership last season.. most noticeably the Blackburn home game where the full back has 20 yards to run into as Drury is on the penalty spot.. he needs this mentality coached out of him... how many goals do we concede on hsi side because he is man marking instead of stopping the cross??? jas :)
Drury cost us a lot of goals last season in the Premiership? Are you sure? The one I remember most maybe the third goal Arsenal scored at Carrow Road by Pires was the unforgiveable mistake by Drury, any other than that? I don''t really see it!!!
22.
Don''t forget, he has no help from Huckerby.
Exactly to be honest, also a full-back at any level CANNOT SIMPLY defend two attacking players on the nearly same position! I think Drury was absolutely superb one-on-one situation, even Wayne Rooney, SWP or Ronaldo cannot pass him,
23.
Just love great goal celebrations. I hated Ashton''s by the way.
Which one Deano''s celebration was not great?
24.
Shacks was indeed superb. The Guardian website gave man of the match to someone called Lee Shackell though.
According to sufc.co.uk, Shackell was a substitute! What a bloody mistake!!!
25. It was quite hard to believe everyone select the same Man of the Match -- Jason Shackell! I only listen the LIVE commentary and I just cannot recall how many times Roy Waller said "a great tackle by Shackell"!!! Keep up the job, Shacks!!!
