1.
Standard Barclays end responses ''''I won''t sing unless the team plays well enough to make me want to'''' Better fans sing to boost the team. If you choose to buy a ticket in the end which everyone understands to be where the core vocal support should be you should f**king sing to make the club proud and boost the team. If you''re not down with that go sit in the family enclosure and let someone who does want to sing take your seat.
VeryMuchThis!
2. I really could be posting this under many threads tonight, but out of respect for Ricardo and his reports,  some of my thoughts on today are going here:Really weird game that! Overall, didn''t think Aston Villa were ''all that'' (the pace and movement of their front three aside) ...we started well.MOVEMENT: from kick-off was probably the best I''ve seen from us this season (and under Hughton) ...better than the Southampton and Everton games but vanished towards the end of the first half...coinciding with....SNODGRASS: he was SHOCKING!!! Forget the reported issue regarding him insisting on taking the penalty rather than RvW (although if he did over rule what had been decided before the game, then that''s worthy of disciplinary action)He''s in a rut, that much is obvious   ...but not helping out his full back and jogging back with no urgency on the side that Villa were having most joy was not good, especially given he is struggling for form. The most marked thing for me was his movement and combinations with other players, thrown into contrast with Pilkington''s when he came on - it was dreadful; Pilks was head and shoulders above. SUBSTITUTIONS: not bad timing; right players coming on, but the whole ground could see that Pilkington for Snodgrass was the change to make. My son remarked beforhand as a joke that Hughton will probably take off Redmond rather than Snodgrass (who was having the mother of all stinkers) ...Jesus wept he DID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Absolutely negligent...was like we were volunteering to play with ten men. I do believe it''s not just the fans that are losing confidence in Chris Hughton''s decision making. His recruitment is first class, and there were signs early on today that the football really was beginning to impressively ''click'' ...but he misses/or doesn''t act upon the obvious, which is proving very damaging...he''s lost the fans, and I believe it''s only a matter of time now unfortunately (because there''s a lot that is good about him)Worryingly I can see our more talented players taking the opportunity to jump ship under his management of the matchday team and subs ...ie you should be in the team on merit and form, otherwise others in reserve should get the chanceand what the hell is going on with Olsson?
3. ...and find it so odd that in the modern game, players at the top level don''t have that flexibility to competently play a number of tactical systems/formations (a bit like enduring one-footedness I suppose)
4. Yeah I know, pipe dream really :)...although probably would have been something tomorrow''s opposing manager might have fielded. God I miss those surprises; that ''can do'' mindset and tactical flexibility.
5.    We can but dream....                                                     Ruddy                         Martin                Bassong               Turner/BennettPilkington                                                                                           Olsson                                      Fer                          Tettey                                               Redmond/Hoolahan                             Hooper                                       RvW   ....Could it work ?
6. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucien_Favre http://aliquamscripto.wordpress.com/2012/06/23/lucien-favre-borussia-glad-to-be-bach/ If we could get him (which is highly unlikely I know) ...Lucien Favre please
7. Think you''ll find creatine is widely consumed in a great many sports...and I believe the long term health risks you''ve cited are disputed. You''ve been a little selective there with your assessment of Hoddle''s managerial career. The tactics he used for England (in a 3-5-2) were widely considered to be very forward thinking with the emphasis on controlling the midfield. We haven''t looked anything like a modern footballing nation since his (and Terry Venables) term in the job. Glenn Hoddle''s football is progressive alright, he just rubs people up the wrong way ;)
8. "Alan Lee is one of us, one of us, one of us, Alan Lee is one of us...etc" ;) but now I guess he doesn''t, and isn''t. Really liked him as a player; had that ''Holty'' thing going on. Pantomime villain when against you, but always seemed to make things happen. I remember being disappointed when we didn''t sign him and he went to Palace (think?!) ...we got some bloody carthorse I seem to remember thinking - watching Holt''s first outing :)
9. http://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/story/157671.html ...I think Hoddle gets a stock bad reaction because of Eileen Drewery and his ill advised comments regarding reincarnation, but I certainly would place him as a more progressive coach. Foreign doesn''t always automatically mean they''re going to be more progressive. Anyway, I wouldn''t be against a foreign coach as long as we applied due diligence to the appointment. Would certainly like to see more tactical flexibility and fluidlty in our Norwich side.
10. Forget Lambert, he''s the past ...thanks for the memories, but we '' go again '' (!) Ruddy''s post match comments seem very significant to me. I was supremely impressed watching Swansea play last night, with and without the ball. Why the hell can''t we do that? Really like how CH comes across, his dignity seems a lovely fit for our club. His football doesn''t however. How does Huw Jenkins keep picking the right man to evolve Swansea further?
11. Lucien Favre NOW please....whatever it takes to get him before the window shuts
12. http://cleatbeat.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=564:the-six-second-transition-barcelona&catid=103:asit-ganguli&Itemid=133 I don''t know how to make the above link ''active'', so it''s copy and paste I''m afraid
13. When I heard we were in for RVW, obviously had a look at the ubiquitous YouTube clips and the first thing that struck me was the quality of service; thinking ..you ain''t gonna get that at Norwich. Really hope Hughton proves that wrong ...he''s recruited well, just needs to sort out how we play. We saw small glimpses of the green shoots of attacking recovery in our ten game unbeaten run last season ...but that feels a very long time ago
14. Haha yeah, that''s fair enough GJP. Guess the post after yours kinda sums up what I found myself thinking,...what on earth is someone that good (at such a young age) doing in a Norwich shirt. Very very exciting talent!
15. Can someone please explain to me what is desirable/the point/progressive/positive about the man on the ball having no options to pass to
16. What is it that is celebrated about Swansea City''s approach to playing football (since Martinez) ??? I''d like Norwich to adopt this more progressive approach. Some may have missed my tenure as England Manager, but I didn''t care for our movement on Saturday, or for some of the decision making where we conceded possession in very dangerous areas ...but then I''m not qualified to see that.
17. Think Redmond and Fer are incredible bargains, and Redmond is insanely gifted and influential at his tender 19years. He''s already some player but, as others have said, when he learns when to pass and when to dribble ...my God he''s gonna be good ....really good. Put it this way, can see his raw talent eclipsing Walcott and Ox easily. The other stand out performer Saturday was Barkley, who is also going to have a huge future.
18. I really like the idea of Hughton as our manager - love his dignity and he''s frankly brilliant in the transfer market, BUT really worry about our play, in, and out of possession. Thought when we did win possession, the man on the ball had very few options (if any) and we certainly didn''t press collectively, aggressively, to win the ball back high up the pitch when possession was inevitably lost as a result of poor supporting play. I really hope that CH as an extremely well respected coach, sorts this out.
19.
Amusing, but a good shirt ruined!
Nah, nice one. ...love it! :)
20. Yeah I noticed it ...especially from the front, and although am probably going to get panned for noticing this ...RVW barely jogging to get up with play during one of our attacks in the second half - really puzzled me at the time that he wasn''t busting a gut to get into the area. Was really pleased that he scored that fantastic header, because otherwise was really wondering what the verdict was going to be on here regarding his first competitive outing.
21. And that those 14000 in''90s FCR would completely drown out the current 26000 in CRL(ibrary) It''s inevitable I guess that the sanitised, family friendly entertainment experience that football has become has drawn the sting of ''ultra'' like support. I was never a hooligan, but going to football at times seemed (and at times was) dangerous, and that added ''edge'' had a positive galvanising expression
22. Demographics of the modern home and away support? ...maybe the spectators at home are less ''tribal'', more comfortable.
