  1. https://www.canaries.co.uk/News/2021/may/city-confirm-outgoing-players/ As previously announced, long-serving midfield duo Alex Tettey and Mario Vrancic have not been offered new deals, whilst loan players Oliver Skipp and Xavi Quintilla will return to their respective parent clubs. Full-back Jordan Thomas, who made a solitary first team appearance as a substitute away at Manchester City in July 2020, has not been offered a new deal and will depart. Fellow youngsters Zach Dronfield, William Hondermarck, Louis Lomas and Ethen Vaughan will all also officially leave the club when their respective contracts expire on June 30th.
  2. The exact quote was "Where does Jordan Hugill fit in? The 28-year-old is one of a few players where a club keen enough to recruit them may find Norwich willing to do either permanent or loan business. The same goes for Poland international Przemyslaw Placheta, his fellow winger Onel Hernandez, forward Marco Stiepermann and academy winger Josh Martin." I'd agree that I'd expect Josh Martin to be a loan rather than a sale.
  3. Norwich are admitting to tracking both Tosin Adarabioyo and Sebastiaan Bornauw My guess is the plan is to be very transparent in our dealings, so if they don't come off at least we can say we tried 😛
  4. Connor and Paddy were talking about Ajer to Newcastle yesterday (around £8m price tag) and apparently Norwich were saying they thought they could do better for a cheaper price.
  5. The Pinkun have been banging the drum that these are the four key positions, and presumably where the money will be spent "City's target list includes a centre back, two central midfielders and an attacking wide player. The club would also like to bring Olly Skipp back from Tottenham for another loan spell, although Skipp's foot injury and the search for a new head coach at Spurs are likely to be major complicating factors."
  6. Interestingly Connor Southwell said today the only premiership loan we're interested in is Skipp. So that would shut down talk of Guehi right away.
  7. I missed the first five minutes and it looks like it's already game over 😛
  8. ...as if by magic, the shopkeeper appeared. Think Placheta's still got three years left on his deal, and since he hasn't featured prominently, they'd be unlikely to recoup much of the fee, especially in a slow covid market. https://www.pinkun.com/sport/norwich-city/norwich-city-attacking-options-summer-premier-league-7971502 Whose future is uncertain? Beyond Pukki, Idah and Dowell, the future of City's other attacking options remain up in the air. City would be open to offers for Stiepermann and Hernandez this summer, but aren't actively pushing the pair out of the door. Both are valued as good characters around the group but haven't played a huge amount of football during this season. The same applies for Placheta, who is yet to hit the heights many expected when he signed from Slask Wroclaw last summer. The Canaries would be open to either loan or permanent offers for the Polish international.
  9. Blackpool 2-1 after only 12 minutes, one hell of a game
  10. https://www.wolves.co.uk/news/club/20210521-nuno-set-to-leave-wolves/ all change in the Premiership!
  11. It's only 38 games though in the Premiership. But if their activity is sustainable, why are they such an outlier compared to the rest of the premiership? The "Bielsa Burnout" arguably doesn't apply anyone, but these were the origins https://trainingground.guru/articles/ander-herrera-the-beautiful-brutal-world-of-marcelo-bielsa Ander Herrera: "It is quite a romantic view about football, but I can’t lie to you, in the last months we couldn’t even move. We had five games to play in the league and were in two cup finals and I think we lost all of them (they lost three of their last four games in La Liga and both cup finals 3-0). Our legs said 'stop'. We used to play always with the same players and were not at our best in the finals. We were a completely different team than we had been before because, to be honest, we were physically f**ked. We couldn’t run any more. We played I think 65 games that season - 38 in the league and a cup final in Spain and the Europa League final. And if you see the stats, Marcelo Bielsa used to play with the same players, 14 maximum (15 players made more than 20 league appearances), so you can imagine how we finished the season.
  12. Is question one "Which of the signings that Ipswich have been linked to, and have turned the club down, are you now claiming you never wanted anyway" 😛
  13. Can see Andrich being a credible rumour. He's 26, 6ft+ , Union Berlin are 7th in the Bundlesiga and he's got a year left on his contract. Played against Dortmund and Bayern Munich as part of a double-pivot and can play further forward. So whilst I can't see Norwich breaking their transfer record to get him in, he ticks a lot of boxes.
  14. I stole this from the Athletic, but it highlights Leeds' high energy, hard running style, and it's debatable how sustainable it is in the long term
  15. I think it's more that West Brom have been heavily dependent on loan players for the last two seasons, need a rebuild in midfield and attack, and the attractiveness of the position depends on the size of the transfer budget Looking at his starting lineup last night, Pereira's scored 12 Premiership goals and will have plenty of suitors, Conor Gallagher, Maitland-Niles, Yokuslu and Diagne(came on from the bench) are all loan players and aren't going to drop down to the Championship.
