A lot of short memories. I don’t like to criticise individual players particularly but Vrancic was very poor when he played against Man U, repeatedly dispossessed.

Well, if that makes you petty, I’m in the club too. All these “big” clubs and their supporters who think they have some divine right to be in the PL, and that throwing money about equals success, richly deserve a reality check. What ticks me off is commentators who haven’t bothered to look at what we’ve achieved, playing attractive football (some of the time anyway), developing young players, building strong community links and scouting for bargains but just see little old Norwich with no money.

I don’t get this problem people frequently raise about Webber saying he’d stay with us for three years after promotion. At the time, he’d turned around a club with debts, no sugar daddy and a threadbare squad into exciting winners of the Championship, with a promising academy and a renewed training ground. His stock was high, but he committed to stay with us and see through this phase of our development. This can only have been a good thing surely? 1) he hasn’t said after three years (two now) he will definitely leave, just that he would stay for at least that long. 2) How long do senior management normally stay on in English football? He will have been with us for five years. Without doing any research I would think that’s probably longer than average?

Simplistic much? More accurate to say we’ve had our worst PL performance under Daniel Farke, but also the youngest squad, the lowest relative budget and played teams which proportionately were better resourced than ever.

Did you see the games against Man U and West Ham, to mention two? We were just as bad then. Inconsistency has always been an issue during Farke’s tenure and we’re seeing it again, with the added influence now of relegation, potential transfers and the coronavirus. It’s hardly a surprise that we’re not at our best. Maybe a different ‘blood and guts’ manager could have fired the team up, but that’s never been Farke’s style.

I think the problem is that your argument is tired and ineffective. We’ve heard it a thousand times before, and whether individuals agree with you or not, complaining that Delia is not Bill Gates (who actually is spending a huge amount of money in a far more laudable way) is not going to change anything.
