  1. how do you come to the decsion that the first and best course of action is to go for worthington???? what kind of board meeting and who had input into coming to that decision???
  2. Get ready for the spin machine!! "We approached the irish fa to speak to Nigel yes........for advice on who we should appoint"
  3. I thought this was a joke when i first found out! WHY OH WHY would they consider this to be the way forward, if this had actually gone through i cant imagine what the atmosphere at carrow road would have been like! Welcome your team and new manager Nigel Worthington to carrow road!! (que the tumble weeds)!!
  4. is there much of a real army left??? im not so sure anymore.
  5. even if he makes the squad his match fitness is going to be poor, i dont have anything against him but he would need a run in the team to get upto speed.
  6. Maybe the lock on the dressing room door has broken due to wear and tear and they cannot get out.....or the players and staff have escaped in an "escape to victory" like tunnel!!!
  7. Wonder whats being said............ "Sorry guys ive tried my best and failed, im handing in my resignation" or "Listen, we played well tonight and were unlucky, doc/rusty you speak to the local press and say how sorry we are about the performance and look to make amends in the next game" or Roder has just gone nuts smashing up the dressing room
  8. Well well......should of had some money on it!! Doh!!
  9. I can kind of see your point, back in the days where we never use to have a full ground and first round cup matches only use to get crowds of 5-7000 (they didnt even open the upper tiers) these fans were no where to be seen. I think the club has gone from a working mans sport/club to what it is today, be it a family day out for the middle class "norfolk" folk coming up from london in their volvo estates or chelsea tractors at weekends visiting their holiday homes on the north norfolk coast, picking the kids up from prep school on the way!
  10. It wouldnt suprise me if Clarke has agreed already agreed terms etc but we have told them he can only leave after the ipswich match (wouldnt look good on the old carow road PR front) the board could also use the result of the match to take some of the heat/focus off him leaving......just a theory/thought!!
  11. Yesterday......all my troubles seemed so far away.......oh i believe in yesterday!!
  12. Can we have Mike Walker Back-for the rest of the season???? Knows Norwich Inside out and what we fans appreciate!! I remember the last 2 home games of his final season in charge we creamed the opposition then he got the boot for finishing "mid table" !!!
  13. We are like mushrooms...............kept in the dark and fed s**t!
  14. im fed up......what can i do about it.......not a lot.....thats football....you have to take the highs with the lows......and support your team throughout.
  15. Helllllooo Neil.......Do they do any shootun practice in train-un, up at colney? Can you tell me?
  16. During the first 70 or so minutes of the doncaster match there were a couple of old "locul"boys who were not too impressed with sammys performance and proceed to voice their opinions. Me and my mate had to laugh at how they constantly referred to him as "clingon".........."What sorto pass wus that clingon" or "passut forwart clingon"........they kept me entertained until we scored!!
  17. I though he had a resonable game, certainly he was one of the more "creative" players on the pitch and at least looked like he was willing to pass the ball, fair comment it didnt always work. The player i was probably most dissappointed with even though he scored was sibierski. For someone who was brought to the club as a target man, he spent too much time going to ground and won very little in the air. Fair play he scored but when i think of target man i think of a Iwan Roberts type character!!
  18. I thought he played well, did lots of running and closing down held the ball up well and like you say was a handful. Not sure how well he has played in other matches for them though?
  19. 1-3 to wolves, with shackell scoring to really rub salt into the wounds, fortress carrow road.....more like sand castle.....
  20. Ruel wins in my book, joy to watch and played in a team who stuck together and knew where each other were on the pitch.............oh the memories..........
  21. Dont get me wrong im a city fan through and through........if we were relegated yes id be gutted....buts thats life.......you take the highs with the lows.......do i have any influence with what goes on, on the pitch?? I think not, i wish i did! You support your team no matter what.....whatever league they are in.
