1.
Polar, when people are calling for the club to be more ambitious the vast majority are asking the club to stop throwing money at infrastructure and concentrate on our declining team.  Then, we might have a chance of competing with clubs like Plymouth, Preston, Burnley, Stoke and Hull who carry stronger squads than us and spend more with half our gates.
Stoke City are owned by Peter Coates - worth £40M Hull City are owned by a consortium headed by Paul Duffen - They previously attempted to buy West Ham (eventually sold for £80M) and Cardiff (£30M) - neither bid failed due to lack of funds. Preston are just a point above us... Leicester (2pts below us) loaned 5 and bought 3 in the transfer window. QPR (4pts above us) brought in 2 loanees and bought 5 players for undisclosed fees and 2 others for £1M and £350,000. Which all goes to prove that football really is a funny old game, there is no magic formula and your assumption about other teams falls flat on it''s backside.
 2. I quite look forward to his ten year summarization - it should kill off a few arguments and opinions that have been touted around these parts.
 3.

"BUTT-KISS BOARDIST''S" are "GULLIBLE GONADS"........[:P]
Absolutely hilarious, bet you stayed up all night thinking of those.....
Actually, I didn''t.......But I''m certainly cheered by the fact it annoyed you (''I bet'').......Which I find Absolutely ''hilarious''......Goodnight.
Didn''t annoy me in the least in fact it bored me to tears.......
 4.
What on earth is Glenn thinking of? Wrong, wrong, wrong. Nice chap Dion. Done a good job for a couple of years and been paid very well for it. Hardly a world beater though. Glenn wants the players to ''do it for Dion''. Do what? Escape relegation to the 3rd division for the first time in nearly 50 years - that''s what. Why? So Dion will not have to go out on a low, FFS. FFS. People have been fired for less. Glenn''s a lucky boy he''s still in his honeymoon period. Let me spell it out Glenn. THE PLAYERS NEED TO DO IT FOR THE FANS AND OUR BUILDERS. For the 25,000 regulars at Carrow Road. For a fan of nearly 50 years like me - or Ralfy, or Wiz, or Nutty, or Ricardo, or Ginger Pele, or Mello, or Angel, or Gazza, or Mr Carrow, or RD, or Rudy Hucker, or Yankee, or Smudger  .........................& so many, many, many  more, For Dave Stringer, for Duncan Forbes, for Kevin Keelan, for Malky Mackay.......................... & so many more. For the memories of Barry Butler, of Arthur South, of Geoffrey Watling...................for Robert Chase, John Bond, Ken Brown, Mike Walker, Ron Saunders, the late Archie Macaulay.............for local lads like Jerry Goss... for giants like Martin Peters and Martin O''Neil. Yes, even for Delia - at least her heart''s in the right place. I suggest you print this out poster size, Glenn, and paste it on thr dressing room door with a message that you were wrong this time. Its OK, we all make mistakes. Dion will understand - believe me. OTBC
Don''t worry, we''ll bounce right back up again.
 5.
oh right we should all be happy because we are in the relegation mire because at least we have something to play for, well i would rather be at the other end where we should be, or at least board shxtless in midtable and safe.
Midtable boredom would suit us all I think. I think the blogger was referring more to the likes of Wiz, Smudger, BBB, etc.
 6.
There is a view gathering traction in knowledgeable circles that this season will see two records set in the Championship/Second Division, namely: *The least points ever needed to gain promotion* *The most points ever needed to avoid relegation* Talk of 50 points is dangerous, we may need as many as 54 points. Nervous days ahead. Can the young loanees morph into men over the next few weeks? OTBC
I was actually agreeing with your post until the last sentence (first time for everything).
 7. Mr.Carrow - ROFL.  If this is a joke post then it`s a bloody good one!  If it`s serious then you need serious help mate...... Just lately, what mistakes have the Board made just lately? How far back are you going to go? How far back is just lately in your book? Name the mistakes they have made this year to have gotten us this close to the relegation zone.
 8. Being stuck out on the right wing at Breda would sort of mess up his strikers stats. He did all right for the Dutch under-21s though.
 9.

By your own rationale, surely the board is to blame for appointing Grant?
Thats hardly rationale is it? They didn''t appoint Grant with any knowledge of the disaster it would become. They appointed, with the best of intentions, a young coach, one with a passion for our club, a coach with an EXTREMELY good reputation in the game (of his generation I would think only Bowens is more highly thought of) and for all we know was genuinely the best candidate available. So how does that justify ''blame''. It didn''t work out. In fact it was as disasterous as Hamilton. Nobody was to know that. Its easy to sit banging your keyboard that we should have appointed someone better, but we aint Inter Milan. As soon as a mistake is made you want heads rolling. We all make bad calls ...... even without the pressure of 1000''s of idiots thuinking they know better demanding an appointment NOW..... THROW money at it.... SPEND big on a player / manager that may / may not work. DONT spend on infrastructure and facilities.....why bother..... great players will come and train in any old crappy facility because they''ll be proud to wear the shirt........ Wake up deary....time for school
Best post I have seen on here for a long time.
 10.

I have to say not too impressed. A typical Norfolk audience gave him an easy ride probably reflecting the fact that we are in trouble and there is not a lot of point of making things worse. Glenn outlined many of the improvements he has already achieved but to be honest these have not yet been translated to where it matters -on to the matchday pitch. He mentioned better standards etc yet he turned up 15 minutes late !!! I came away with the impression that Glenn is a "big manager" but speaking to wise old heads afterwards the general view was that the jury remains out. Having said that he received generous applause at the end. First time I had been behind the scenes at Jarrold stand. Havn''t they spent a fortune !!!
Therein lies much of the problem of the last three years I''m afraid. That is exactly why the Board let the situation drift under Worthy for so long because whilst the message boards may have been packed with vitriol, AGM''s and public meetings were (by and large) back slapping affairs with people falling over themselves to flirt with The Cook and say how wonderful she was. Even at the last AGM in October when things could hardly have been worse, the amount of pressure the Board were subjected to was pretty minimal really. I was one of probably 15 or so fans who raised our hands to vote against the re-appointment of The Stowmarket Two. The sheer fury on her face was revealing. If looks could kill we would have been ''six foot under'' at that time!  Smith''s response to any form of criticism however measured and objective is extremely basic (and limited).........''you''re so ungrateful, just remember what it was like before Michael and I took over''. 12 years later and that tired old line is still being trotted out and people still fall for it!
Rider, I know exactly where you''re coming from.......I have had ''The Stowmarket Stare''........and more or less verbatim, the same line thrust at me because my ''opinion'' (which was certainly not insulting, derogatory or vitriolic) - just didn''t fit in, with what they like to hear........Her retort/reaction, made Heather Mills ''McCartney''s'' rant, seem like Ms Mills is a soft spoken, shy and retiring sweetie......Still, I''m only a ''concerned'' long and current ''loyal'' supporting fan of NCFC, so who am I to question them, eh?
A close friend of mine has had the "treatment" at the last two AGM`s for daring to politely ask a few difficult questions.  He`s also been booed and told to "shut up" by other supporters.  These displays of petty-minded arrogance bring to mind Chase in his last days. We are constantly told that football clubs have to be run like any other business, yet any board who had failed their company the way ours has lately would face a real grilling by shareholders at every opportunity.  Unfortunately a good number of City supporters seem more concerned about protecting the over-inflated egos of a few individuals than the overall good of the club.
Give a few examples of the way that the Board has failed the Company just lately please?

 12.
We have had this debate time amd time again. Huckerby is a left winger who loves to cut inside - that''s all. He has neither the discipline (to hold his position) or the hold up play to play ''up front''.
Couldn''t have said it better myself.
 13. Tricky for sure, you could spend hours on the BBC''s predictor trying to work that lot out.
 14. This must be the first topic I have read on here where no one agrees with the OP. I''m shocked.....
 15. FGS, Can you not give your bleating and whining a rest? Every single post, every single topic you start it''s the same old thing. You are like a stuck record (a 78 I believe you would call it).
 16.

Its this land deal that may well fund team improvements.  The money has to come from somewhere, you cant spend what you do not have...
so why hasnt it already??? its alright saying "it may well fund the team" well IF these business ventures turn a profit we will see none of it.. we have sold the land.... we have the money now... so why werent Worthingtom/Grant//Roeder given it to spend? It might be to do with the fact that the business ventures are staving off the debt.. keeping the crows from the nest if you like... if these business were going to fund the signing of players we would have these players wouldnt we? The score boards irratate me the most.. we didnt need to replace the old ones... they cost 1 million pounds each! thats 2 strikers... how come the club can afford to allocate funds for a bunch of bulbs in a plastic casing yet cant afford to fund Roeder?  its indefensible. jas :)
You don''t know that Roeder hasn''t been given money to spend.  The fact is that he has only had a winter transfer window, and chose not to spend his budget.  Whether or not you believe that is irrelevant, we won''t know until the summer. Agree that the scoreboards were a waste of money, as was the refurb of Doncasters office.
Obviously Roeder had money to spend, he made bids for Taylor, Rasiak and Paterson. Seems like some people will only see what they want to see.
 17.
Never trust a Wolf bearing promises! your mob are as crap as ours.
Wrong yet again...... as much as I dislike them they are way above us in the table.
 18.
With the Roeder clearout due is it possible that even though money is available players will not come. Roeder is not particularly well regarded by players at clubs he has previously managed and with 15 going and some not signing it is possible that he might have to enter a side in the 5 a side at Power League. His comments and public pilloring of players does not make him the best boss to work for. The loaness will have little choice but given an option Roeder might not seem the best option to some.Prehaps some of the 15 may be quite delighted that they are going after what he has said, but Roeder may well have to do a U turn if some of his targets don''t come.
I did not know that Roeder was hated by some players at his previous clubs. I know some of those Club''s fans turned on him but not the players. Could you supply some type of evidence to back up your statement? It will be interesting.
 19.

It''s even funnier from the other end though....used to work across the office from the tech support guys, they would always turn the phone to loudspeaker when there was an idiot on the other end....great laugh!
you used to work for sky??? that explains a lot.... jas :)
Not SKY, bigger than them.....
 20. It''s even funnier from the other end though....used to work across the office from the tech support guys, they would always turn the phone to loudspeaker when there was an idiot on the other end....great laugh!
 21. Taylor - P8 W4 D1 L3 - F12 A12 - the only thing he was better than average at was scoring goals, we should have bought him and then played him up front.
 22.

I''m putting my house on Gibbs to score the first goal......
Can one do that with a council house?  [;)]
I don''t know, why don''t you read your tenancy agreement?
 23. Wiz won''t have an answer for that I''m afraid - he likes all the attention and waving of his smelly, brown spoon but never offers a reasoned argument.
 24.

More bad team decisions by glenn imo. But I''m just sounding like a broken record player. I hoped glenn would have learnt his lesson but I don''t think he has. Tinkering has left us staring into oblivion.
And if he hadn''t tinkered you would be complaining Huckerby didn''t start. And that Camara had been run ragged and Bertrand shouldve played LB. Notice how everything has come down their right wing btw, Huckerby''s side of the pitch....
Exactly. Why was hux playing right wing and not croft? Isn''t that the whole point of this thread.
You don''t get it.....Hux and Bertrand could not contain thier RW and RB....
 25.
Agreed, cant believe we didnt get a striker in January. Think the board were complacent, and assumed we could save our money to invest over the summer. May end up backfiring.
How many times will people keep blaming the Board for not buying a striker in Jan??? The money was there, GR bid for a couple of strikers I believe (Paterson and Rasiak) but was unsuccessfull. I am not a Board apologist but it was well documented at the time FGS.
