1.
i really do think that earnie is a pretty ordinary footballer - i would not want him back.
He is an ordinary footballer, but at this level he is an outstanding goalscorer.
 2.

Me thinks Earnie would have stayed with City if it had looked like we were going anywhere, sadly it was quite obvious we weren''t. We had a very poor manager incharge at the time who was bringing inferior players into the team and replaced Earnie with a vastly inferior player. I''d love to see him back, he''s extremely prolific at this level and I''m keen for Norwich to be successful which means we need better quality players than what we''ve got.
the clause ditacted he wouldn''t.. as soon as someone offered the money the club would of had to accept. jas :)
Earnie wouldn''t have had to sign for Derby, it was a choice he made. And as I said, if Norwich looked in better shape I think he would have stayed. Unfortunately we were looking a bit rubbish and a better offer came along so he took it.

 4. Don''t know about the transfer clauses but me thinks West Ham would be fairly keen to sell. Deano is obviously a quality player but he''s injury prone and Curbs might prefer to buy someone who he can rely on.
 5. Has Mendieta he even played in the last 2 or 3 years??? He had a couple of of very good seasons for Valencia and that was it. Not saying he''s not a good player but he''s nothing special.
 6.

Of the regulars it''d be Jamie Cureton. Of the bit part players there''s a few contenders; Rossi Jarvis, James Henry, Juan Velasco and probably a couple of others. But if I had to pick one it''d be Rossi Jarvis because of his pathetic whinge in the papers the other day.
Harsh post. Cureton finished the season as our top scorer.
Not really, in my opinion. At the risk of the Cureton thing getting a bit repititive... if you take away the goals against the awful Colchester and Barnet in the cup game then all of a sudden he goes from having an ok scoring record to having a poor scoring record. But as I said...it''s not just the goalscoring side of it that comes into my thinking it''s that he''s been pretty useless with everything else. He may have finished our top scorer but you can bet Rob Earnshaw would have stuck away at least twice as many.
 7.
You have got a point there....although he has scored some goals he has missed so sooo many chances!! And alot of very easy ones at that!!
It''s not just the misses though...his all round play has been pretty rubbish.

 9.
And I used to see people saying how a substitute appearance can not be classified as "a chance" but if anything, in my book, coming on as a sub should make you even more fired up to make an impression. Ryan never did this. Rossi was just awful. Good riddance IMO.
I can remember Ryan Jarvis coming on as a sub in one of his last appearances for us, you''d expect a young striker trying to prove himself; to get stuck in, to close down defenders and to force the issue but instead all he did was stand around waiting for someone to play the ball to him. Never looked likely to make it in my opinion. He''s got no pace, he''s not strong, he doesn''t work very hard and I don''t think he''s got a good touch either. Same for Rossi really.
 10.
Rossi Jarvis had his chances this season when he proved that although he can play football he was far too lightweight to ever make the grade at this level and I''d suspect will struggle to make it in league 2 - he was with Torquay last season and they are now non league. If he was that good why didn''t they want him back this season?   He does though, make some valid points about certain other loanees who I''d suspect are messrs Henry and Gibbs 2 of the worst loan players we''ve ever had at this club.  All this rubbish now being ''sprouted'' about Gibbs I find hard to believe. He done OK in the final 2 home games of the season where his passing was good but he was still way too lightweight and in reality offered no threat and made no mark on the games. In the games before he was painfull to watch. He may make it if he gets stronger cause he can play football but that is a big IF and in the future I only want loan players who are good enough to make a difference NOT Premiership clubs using Norwich as a nursery for players not ready for the tough physical nature of the Championship! - As for Henry!
Nail on the head with Rossi. Thought that at the time, why didn''t Torquay want him back? He''s noway near as good as he seems to think he is. As for Gibbs, I wouldn''t mind seeing him back here but only as backup. He looks like he''s got a nice touch and there was a couple of times where I thought he showed good awareness of what was around him. But having said that he clearly does lack the strength to compete in this league at the moment. Definitely looks to have ability, in my opinion, just needs a bit longer to get to grips with senior football.
 11.
I would take Bothroyd.  Not overly big, but strong and with a nasty streak.
Isn''t Jay Bothroyd well over 6 foot tall?
 12.
"If I get one in particular that I''m talking about, it will be lovely, a real pleasant surprise. Maybe the landing will be a bit softer than people are trying to make out it is at the moment.” http://new.pinkun.com/content/ncfc/story.aspx?brand=PINKUNOnline&category=Norwich&tBrand=PinkUnOnline&tCategory=Norwich&itemid=NOED09%20May%202008%2015%3A43%3A06%3A280 Only one I can think of is Hoolahan. When Blackpool beat us at home Roeder raved about him after the game...
I think it''s Ronaldinho. hehehe
 13.

when players that are as bad as gibbs got plenty of run outs. But, I wish my good luck to him and I hope he proves glenn wrong, and can play at ccc level.
Who do you think will go further/have a better career in football, Kieran Gibbs or Rossi Jarvis?
You''ve phrased that wrongly. "Who do you think will go further/have a better career in football at norwich city, Kieran Gibbs or Rossi Jarvis?"
No, I didn''t. It''s in Norwich City''s best interest to having the best players possible playing for us. I''ll put it slightly more blunty - who do you think is and will turn out to be the better player?
I cannot say although I will add that I don''t think gibbs is good enough for this league. He might be good in the future, but then how far down the future. I think I''ve counted him do a collective of 3 tackles during his time here. Norwich need players now. Sure if gibbs becomes a prem reservist in 10 years time then well done to him. He''ll prolly end up the better player because his manager wants him to play and he''s at a far superior club which value their youth system. I wouldn''t be suprised if rossi goes to a league 1 team and ends up playing in the ccc soon. So, to sum up. I would rather have had rossi then gibbs here next season.
In my opinion, I would be very surprised if Rossi Jarvis managed to cut out a career above League 2. He''s probably lucky he can say he came through at Norwich, he wouldn''t exactly stand out if we was playing for a local team on a Saturday. Far too limited as a player.

 15. I must admit I don''t really rate Eagle, a good left foot but didn''t seem to have much else when I''ve seen him play. Good on the lad though if he''s working hard and showing determination to make himself a success at this club.

 17.

And he thinks he played well in those games he got under Grant. I''m not sure I''ve ever seen a City player look more out his depth than he did.
Do you think Gibb played any better?
Yup. Hope you don''t mind me answering as you quoted Robert.
 18. He says he doesn''t think the young players Roeder has brought in are better than him or some of our other youngsters... is he being serious???
 19.
Shacks would go for at least £750k. Glenn has noticed hence signing Taylor on loan and trying to buy him. Worthy noticed and signed Zesh Rehman amongst others on loan with a view to a permanent, but he was Sh*t.
Who would pay "at least" £750k for Shackell??? £750k at most.
 20.

Me thinks it''s probably a case that his agent has "leaked" the gossip to the press/media in order to strengthen their position when negotiating his City contract. I''m never very sure how important he is to the team. On the one hand he does seemingly bring a bit more determination to proceedings but as a footballer he''s fairly ordinary in what he does. He can''t pass the ball like Safri could for us and he doesn''t have the pace to turn on the ball in midfield and drive forward.
I think his long passing is very good - maybe not quite in the same league as Safri in his prime, but he''s certainly a player in the same mould. Plus he''s very determined, doesn''t disappear on international duty, doesn''t get injured as much and certainly doesn''t complain of ''fatigue'' after playing two games in a week. He''s a good player and a good personality, and we don''t have too many players who fulfil both those criteria.
Doesn''t get injured as much? Are you sure about that? No offence to Fozzie, I''ve always stuck by him since he''s been here but if I had to choose between him and Safri it''d be Safri everytime. He could pick the right ball quicker and play it more accurately than Fozzie does.
Safri in his prime against the best we''ve seen of Fozzy so far, I would definitely agree with you. However, with the situation we are in at the moment, he is very important to our team. I know he''s been injured a couple of times this season, but Safri was always carrying knocks, disappearing off to play for Morocco, form dipping during Ramadan... Fozzy is much more focused, even if not as naturally gifted. With better players around him, I think Fozzy will convert a lot of doubters if he stays here next season.
I think if we are to go forward then we will need better players than him around him. Because if our team is made up of players around his level (or below) then we''ll struggle.
 21. Ian Harte maybe... Lots of experience , a solid player with a good left peg. Has always lacked pace though. Probably big wages too.

 24.
We can all claim to" know our football " but Roberts is patently someone who really does.
Really? He made the most of what he had as a player, he wasn''t some kind of footballing genius.
 25.

Past caring really because untill Delia Smith is carried out of this club it will continue getting worse each season and its not if we get relegated its when .No doubt Rodent will get us another batch of useless kids in to make up the numbers.
How many "useless kids" did Roeder bring in this season Loan City?!! If it hadn''t been for said "useless kids", we''d be in Leicester''s shoes right now. And they''re not very nice shoes!
Not really. Evans chipped in with a decent share of goals and Bertrand proved to be ok as an attacking threat but other than that the kids were average at best. I personally credit Dion with our survival. He led the team from the front and took each game by the scruff of the neck. His motivation of the team was crucial.
"Evans chipped in with a decent share of goals and Bertrand proved to be ok as an attacking threat" Is that all you saw in their performances??? I really hope not.
