1.

Ein muppet alert!
Who''s that then? you?[:)][:D]
Wiz, why is it OK for you to accuse someone of being a binner but not OK for someone else to accuse you of being a muppet for your original accusation?
2. Yes, it''s certainly a thought.  Just not a very good one.
3. Or maybe he''s just enjoyed playing first team football during his loan spell and doesn''t want to sit on the bench at Norwich week in and week out.  400k isn''t bad for a keeper who is yet to prove himself at Championship level and as it''s obvious Glenn''s transfer kitty isn''t exactly overflowing any extra he can generate by selling Lewis seems fair enough to me.
4. 1.  Change the ridiculous law that allows a defender to blatantly obstruct an attacker on the pretext of shepherding the ball out.  Come to think about it, I can''t remember any free-kicks being given for obstruction for years.   2.  Automatic sending-off for any dissent to the referee. It''s not allowed in rugby and shouldn''t be in football either.   3.  No substitutions in the last 5 minutes of a match to avoid deliberate time-wasting.
5. Heard someone else say something similar after the game.  Hucks is out of contract at the end of the season and no matter how good he''s been for us in the past he''s not got the pace that he used to have and has had more bad games than good recently.  Not sure if we would offer him another year anyway so if we can get some dosh for him from the good old USA then perhaps it''s for the best.
6. Yes, 2 of us from West Norfolk will be enjoying the "pleasures" of the A17/A15.  Any good pubs/fooderies?
7. Yes, it took me back.  Haven''t heard that song for years.  It was released in about 1972 when we won promotion to the 1st division and all the first team squad sang on it.  Thought it was a bit rubbish at the time but it seemed to have improved a bit with the passing of 35years.  I think we should have it every week.  After all, it''s far better than the Z Cars theme that Everton run out to!
8. Hucks has proved over and over again that he can only play on the left side of midfield.  Every time he''s been put up front he''s been inneffective.  More to the point, Cureton needs someone to feed off and that isn''t Hucks.  If you''re stuck for someone to play up front with Cureton then what about Evans - after all, he''s not justifying his loan fee by sitting on the bench.  We''ve finally won after 12 games - don''t be too quick to break up a winning team just to bring Huckerby back.  I''d have him on the bench but no more than that.
9. West Ham away in our first season in the First Division (1972 I think).  We got stuffed, either 4:0 or 4:2 (can''t quite remember which).  Hardly any Norwich supporters there which made the tube trip away from Upton Park a bit intimidating - I remember lots of cockneys in their spray-painted DMs looking "well ''ard".
10. Certainly has been a failure!  "Prudence with Ambition" has been a particularly imprudent policy as the pathetically small sums made available for transfers and loans has been spent by successive managers on 3rd rate rubbish so actually the money haas been completely wasted.  No doubt at all that we are in the worst position we''ve been in for about 50 years.  The squad is poor in every department and lacks any confidence, no-one can see where the next win is coming from, we are highly likely to get relegated to the 3rd division (yes, lets call it by its real name), our debt is the highest it has ever been, yet the Board seem to be in denial.  We keep being told that the debt is structured and managable but what happens if and when we get relegated?  Our projected income will be significantly less and our creditors may well have far less confidence in our ability to service the debt.  End result is thay call-in the loans, we have no means to pay them back and we go bankrupt or enter into administration while playing 3rd division football with a threadbare squad.  What a marvellous achievement that will be - the Board must be delighted with their stewardship of our club over the last decade!
11. Why blame the Board?  Because their "Prudence with Ambition" policy has meant that the occasional dribbles of cash made available to successive managers has been spent on third rate no-hopers (barring the occasional exception that proves the rule) because that''s all they''ve been able to afford.  Needless to say, these transfers have been a complete waste of time and have weakened rather than strengthened the squad so actually it would have been more prudent to either give significant funding to buy quality players or not to have given any money at all.  The "prudence with ambition" transfer policy seems to have been the most imprudent way of conducting business - after all, you get what you pay for!
12. Jewell would be a good appointment but by the time the Board have decided to do something (probably about this time next year) he will already have got a job somewhere else!
13. Hucks sounded totally fed up on the radio so I don''t think he''s very impressed with the way things are going at the moment!
14. Thought he sounded frighteningly similar to Worthy just before he went - a beaten man.  Hucks has just said that we are now playing worse than at any time since he joined the club.  Time for a major change in direction but I expect the board will once again pretend that all is well and that they appinted the right man a year ago.  Hmmmm........
15. The Board were wrong in appointing an unproven manager in the first place.  Not sure how that fitted in with "Prudence with ambition" as it seemed particularly unambitious at the time and looks increasingly so now.
16. An interesting and challenging post.  I don''t know where the 10 match idea came from and I''m not sure I necessarily agree with it but I do hope that the Board will be prepared to be a little more ruthless this time if and when they feel that perhaps they appointed the wrong man last year.  I don''t think we have quite reached that position yet but I don''t think they can sit back and accept another season of mediocrity.
17. The Board''s policy of "prudence with ambition" would be all very well but it doesn''t seem to be happening.  Ambition?  I don''t see many real signs of that, certainly not on the field.  For a club with expectations of Premiership football, going into a winnable away game with only one player up front doesn''t seem very ambitious.  Appointing a manager with no previous managerial experience looked equally unambitious and the apparent (perhaps unintentional) promotion of the "little Norwich" idea by some individuals certainly doesn''t match the ambition or expectations of the vast majority of supporters.  As for prudence, given that we still have crowds consistently in excess of 24,000 and frequently have the highest gate in the league, I really do struggle to understand why our debt has reached the level that it has - in comparison with other clubs I don''t think we''ve been exactly extravagent in the transfer market.  The Board was accused of "fiddling while Rome burns" over the Worthington saga but it seems to me that they are still doing exactly that.  In order to halt our ongoing underachievement and to try to prevent our superb support from dwindling our club needs a major change in direction and it needs it now.
18. Having listened to the Palace support yesterday it made me realise just how tired our repertoire of songs has become.  All we ever sing is OTBC and Y''Army.  What the hell is a "Y''Army" anyway - stupid chant if you ask me (yes, I know it''s a "clever" joining together of the 2 words "Yellow" and "Army" into a nice bite-size chunk).  OTBC is a song that we can be proud of but not when it''s repeated over and over again ad infinitum.  Can''t we be a bit more imaginative?
19. Why not get rid of the existing 3 infills and build 3 more hotels.  Come to think of it, the City Stand is a bit of an embarrassment so perhaps we should demolish that and build a much larger resort-style hotel complex with pool and palm-trees etc.  On non-match days the guests could use the pitch for playing tennis and crazy golf.  The opportunities are endless!
20. A corner infill wouldn''t have been allowed on planning grounds?  Sorry but I think you''ve almost certainly got that wrong.  OK, there may have had to have been a few changes to how the away supporters were accomodated but there are many many grounds which have all corners filled in so I can''t see how or why we would have been any different.  The Club will live to regret the hotel decision.
21. Regardless of whether or not we fill the ground next season the hotel is an eyesore that the Club allowed to happen for a small short-term financial gain (I know that there will also be a ongoing income coming to the Club from the hotel but I suspect this will be minimal).  It costs more per seat to build a corner infill than a main stand and clearly it would therefore have taken longer to have paid for itself but even so, in the long term, the hotel was the wrong option.  If we really have the ambition of returning to the Premier League then continued ground development is essential.  As we have shown over the last few seasons, we can fill the ground comfortably (although the awful underperformance of the last couple of years is clearly now beginning to take its toll in terms of season ticket sales) and if we ever did manage to re-establish ourselves as a top-flight club then I see no reason why we wouldn''t attract more (30,000?).  Throwing away the option of a future corner infill was a very poor decision.
22. The only surprising thing, given our inconsistent and mediocre performance over the last couple of years, is that it''s taken until now for the number of season ticket holders to start to drop.  I know there are still 2 months until next season starts and it''s still possible the Club will sell the remaining tickets by then but somehow I doubt it unless there are some inspired and inspiring signings in the near future.  As for freeing up more tickets for casual fans, well, in theory that''s great but in reality at nearly every home game last season there were plenty of empty seats that casual fans could have bought  using the season ticket "buy back" scheme but clearly they didn''t so I''m afraid that next season crowds are going to be significantly down on the last couple of years.  The Club, from top to bottom, is underperforming and some radical changes in all departments are needed to get us back to where we once were.  I don''t see that simply continuing as we are is a viable long-term option.
23. It was in our first ever season in the (old) first division in 1972 (I think) away to West Ham and we lost heavily (I think it was 4:0).  Don''t remember much about it other than a bunch of West Ham skinheads with spray-painted Dt Martin boots causing mayhem on the tube after the game.  Hardly any Norwich supprters at the game, or if there were they kept pretty quiet!
24. Huckerby is one of the few players who are actually worth keeping so dropping him is probably not sensible.  However that doesn''t excuse him for his woeful inability to commit himself to a 50/50 ball, his total reluctance to go up for a header and his unwillingness to drop back and help out.
25. Sorry to ramble on but I''m concerned there might be a bity of a communication breakdown here.  Lets hope he doesn''t get trampled underfoot and gives no quarter. Wishing you all a whole lotta love Thank you
