The problem with trying to spend our way to safety is that a) we don't have very much money and b) we're trying to spend against the richest club in the world™ Either what we already had is good enough or we would still fail despite spending so we go with what we have, don't upset the team that is starting to emerge and don't have to wait for new players to settle

Why was it clearly long term frustration? He was frustrated over a specific thing (us not letting him go and rejoin Lambert to villa) and was expressing that. It's not quite though, is it? Liverpool FC are in no position to start policing the internet so they are doing what is within their power.
