1. Well in one season we sold Francis for £1.5m, McKenzie for £1m, Ashton for £7.5m and Jonsson for £900k. The bulk of this money disapeared into a black hole, minus about £3.5m for Earnie. The next season we got £1m for Green, £1.5m for Etuhu, our £3.5m back for Earnshaw and £500k for Safri. The bulk of this money too disappeared into a black hole. I''m sure Bell''s ''undisclosed'' won''t make too much difference in the long run.
2. Does anyone know why different teams get different point deductions? Is it simply in relation to the amount of money wiped off by the administration? I''m pretty sure Leeds started a season on -15 while Rotherham were -9, Bournemouth -10 and Luton a whopping -30
3. It''s all right Mr Clipped. You''re just lucky 1st Wiz hasn''t spotted it yet....[;)]
4. In style of play! Jeez. Any chance of having a pop-up version of the Pink ''Un message boards?
5. The end of the season can''t come soon enough. It''s then the summer that''s going to be unbearable, looking at all those empty squad numbers as Lappin and Fozzy depart as well. The board will open their wallets and a moth will fly out.
6. I agree with every word the Wizard said! Luckily for me it was only seven or I''d need even more scrubbing [:P].
7.
The comparison to David Beckham is irrelevant, unless we all think Bell is good enough to play for Milan and England? Once a player asks to leave Norwich City that''s it for me.
Far be it from me to argue with the forum moderator but why is the comparison irrelevant? Posters on here are criticising Bell for not beating a couple of players while zipping down the wing. I was just saying that it''s not really his game. It would be like saying Cureton is crap because he doesn''t hold the ball up, win flick-ons and score from headers; that''s a Peter Crouch player while Cureton is more like a Michael Owen. Also where have all these reports come from that Bell demanded to leave? Are these stories quickly hushed up or just spread by hear-say? Because I never get to hear them!
8. And so we fall to about fourteen contracted players. Fourteen! This is the most ridiculous thing about all this. With the board policy of selling one to loan one, selling two to buy one it''s no wonder really. For what it''s worth I actually really liked Bell. So he''s got no pace and can''t beat players? Neither can David Beckham. Norwich have always been poor at set-piece delivery for the last decade and a half; sometimes you just need someone who can utilise the ball
9. I remember Man City''s Paulo Wanchope grabbing a ball-boy in what was basically a choke-hold a few years ago. The ref couldn''t really do anything at the time but sent him off five minutes later for a minor discrepancy.
10. Shouldn''t we have signed Carney from Gillingham......? [:$]
11. Li Ki Bum. Mr Lovespoon, is Bongo Christ genuine? Because that''s phenomenal!
12.
Chunky, Shilton is in Leicestershire and Oxfordshire, however ETHERINGTON I couldn''t find.
I''ve no idea where an Etherington is, I just got stuck on the left-hand side of the pitch. I assumed that any name ending in -TON is simply ''Something-TOWN''. I''m happy to take him out but then I''m stuck at who to put in [8-)]
13.
I''m an editor, proof-reader and writer by profession, so it does irritate me when posts are riddled with poor spelling, punctuation and grammar. However, there are other areas of my life in which I probably have much lower standards than other people, so it would be a bit hypocritical to lay into people whose English isn''t as strong as my own. As long as the general sense of a post can be understood, that''s good enough for me. And I just had to point out to Chunky Norwich – ''stadiums'' is perfectly acceptable; check the dictionary. I prefer ''stadia'' myself, but it''s down to individual preference. My own personal nightmares are the erroneous apostrophe''s in plural''s (shudder!), and people who say ''less'' when they mean ''fewer''.
Damn it! I was going to ask you for a proof-reading reference only to discover you name-checked me for my grammar [:''(]. While I''m checking the dictionary, I''ll also look up ''irony'' and ''bo**ocks!'' I''ll still use ''stadia'' though I think. As well as ''different from'' and never ending a sentence with a preposition. I''m just a Victorian English-teacher in a twenty-something''s body.
14. Mr Bump also forgot to change his Canaries In Bed (I think) avatar as well. Why do people have more than one sign-in name?
15.                                             Peter SHILTON (Has to be a place name surely?) Justin EDINBURGH      Jack CHARLTON       Steve STAUNTON    Nigel WINTERBURN  Antonio VALENCIA     Bobby CHARLTON           Rob LEE         Matt ETHERINGTON                                     Teddy SHERINGHAM       Dion DUBLIN Subs: Dwight YORKE, Gary HOLT, Stephen IRELAND, Gary WALES. Chris KIRKLAND Chief Executive: Neil DONCASTER
16. There''s a Canadian striker called Felix Brilliant. I think that one''s unbeatable. I''d imagine having Bridge-Wilkinson would be quite expensive on your shirt too
17. Pretty hard fitting Bellamy, Eadie, Huckerby, Roberts and Ashton into one team. A major problem I found when making my all-time Norwich XI on Pro Evo was the right wing (Bentley was a loanee do didn''t count); I had to go for Forbesy just because he''s a bit of a legend and a genuinely nice chap.
18. I''d rather reply to a troll than have Ipswich win the FA Cup. Oh, hang on....
19.

Typos maybe? I''d rather someone mis-spelt a player''s surname than ''we''re going to loose today'' or, my personal favourite, ''stadiums''. Paterson and Pattison, Mackay and McKay, we all know who they mean. And I have to admit that I''ve know idea how to spell Omozusi without looking it up.
<giggle> It''s hilarious is it not? I am quite shocked at the literacy levels demonstrated on this Forum. It shows that the education system has failed quite a few. Apart from the obvious posters who fit that category there are obvious typos that can not be rectified due to the lack of an "edit" button - I would guess that there is an average of one typo in each post of mine.
See the lengths I go to to support my points about typos? Of course it was deliberate......[:$] Good job we have the always-helpful Delia S. Tickers on hand to politely point things out to the rest of you! A prize would be on its way but the grammar police decided that this forum is a concrete noun and not a proper one. Sorry.
21. Seems like shades of Scolari/McClaren to me. "We wanted Gunny all along. We only spoke to Nigel to tell him before we told the press"
22. I''ll surely get hammered for saying this but on Radio Naarfolk they''re constantly going on about the new management having to have ties to the club and understanding the fans and area etc etc. Why?! I''d much rather have someone from London, Manchester, Scotland or Peru who''s never even been to Norfolk and makes us successful than some sweet old boy we used to clap on the pitch twenty years ago but is totally out of their depth. Peter Grant anyone? It''s this small-time mentality which really makes me scratch my head
23. Yep because he''s just going to stand outside the ground cheerfully telling all and sundry about it. You should have asked him who we''re looking to sign as well or what really happened between McKenzie and Francis. You even got City Angel riled with this one!
