1.
SMUDGER SHUT UP
can not believe this one got past the MODERATORS......What are they playing at!
 2.

they owe it to us to be more open.
What? and alert every other club as well, come back into the real world matey.
alert to what? we''ve sold everything worth alerting in this club!  (land , players etc......)
 3.

Dont worry about Smudger, he was on here posting last Friday lunchtime. Guess as Bigmark said on the '''' pretty good first week'''' thread he''s probably on the way back from Plymouth with his mate Cluck [:D]   Lets all sing ''''You never post when we''re winning, post when we''re winning '''' [:)]
Ronbol Ronbol is on the "first championship manager to get the chop" thread - can anyone guess who he is hoping for?[:(]
Cheers for that,  I do not hide when we have a good result. The fact is I want norwich to do well,  I was at the ground  yesterday as vocal as ever and 100% behind the  team.  However I can not support Peter Grant  as manager  of this football club. I have very valid reasons and am not prepared to tell all on a message board. You have already seen the trouble that has been caused with the training ground  ban  for fans (or some FANS!!!) .  The PR department have been working overtime this summer , It''s simply one cover up after another. The truth always has a funny way of coming out in the end! I am just worried what damage it will cause the club.................
 4.
We still got 24,000 though - there are several Prem clubs who would kill for that kind of attendance.
I seem to remember that they count all season ticket holders even if they do not attend. personally i think the attendance was well down on 24,000. worth remembering that this is still the school holidays and a fair few familys will be away on their annual hols.......
 5.

Rumour it may be, but I''ve heard that Huckerby is infact not injured and has had a bust-up with Grant. This happened in pre-season and Huckerby was apparently sent home with the message ''You won''t play for Norwich again until you appologise to Grant''. So, Rumour or not, anybody else hear anything about this?
i doubt its true.. but if it is.. we have proven already this season we dont miss him. Jas :)
somtimes i wonder what world supporters live in. for 60 mins yesterday we where poor. to say we don''t miss him is complete and utter rubbish.....
 6. I cannot recall any booing, however he certainly did not get the warm loud greetings that the other players recieved.
 7. I have so far not been convinced about fozzy, but i agree with everything that has been said. He turned the game for us , took control of the ball and used it with great effect. If he can keep this up (hope injury is not to bad) he might be the replacement for safri we are looking for.GRANT OUT
 8. I sit in the barclay and from my superb view, it was never over the line!GRANT OUT
 9.
Did Safri play badly, I haven''t seen any reports
probably pulled out for being to tired after his long journey from norwich to southampton!
 10.
A very good post Hardhouse, which has been predictably ignored. This is just an internet forum, nothing more, nothing less. What we post on here makes no difference to what happens in the real world. It''s just a place to let off steam and share your opinions with fellow fans. There is a divide on this board, but when you''re talking about a game which arouses the passions like football it''s impossible to get everyone to agree. That shouldn''t cause a problem in itself because we should all be able to respect the right for people to have their own opinion. The problem arises when the divide becomes so large that people on one side can''t agree with anything somebody on the other side says. So you get a situation where anything vaguely negative is jumped on by certain posters and anything positive is jumped on by people on the other side.
All good points, I am probably guilty on occassions of going over the top with the grant thing (I have my reasons). However nothing would please me more than to win next saturday (not counting tuesdays nothing game) and come away thinking - Yehhhh what a great game we really had a go at them, there is hope for the season a head. I am as ambitious as anyone on this board and want city to win at all costs. Do people honestly think I would shell out £400 on a season ticket and want to see them lose! get real people.........
 11.

Whilst trying to keep this post as football related as possible, it gets difficult sometimes. I.E Ronbol Ronbol. I dont mind Smudgers && Clucks insults, or sometimes imo incorrect views, but quite often back them up. But Ronbol dear, you seem to want Grant out with no real foundation. Who''s better who''ll want to come here? WHY do you want him out? And whats with this ''clueless'' aspect of view you seem to have of him? As far as i can see, he''s pretty sure as to what he wants and how he wants it done! It''s this viewpoint with no real reasoning that tends to annoy me. And you seem to be desperate to be included with these so-called ''Gangs'' created on this board, with smudger and cluck. You''re gonna have to do better mate!
you have not seen us play with grant in charge then! GRANT OUT
I think i went to the majority of home games last season, and also every home pre-season friendly recently. But don''t let that get in your way of being right, of course [;)]
Thanks for seeing it my way. cheersGrant out

 13.

most on here will be happy with this result, which shows how far not only the team have sunk but also a fair few of our supporters.
Absolute nonsense. The key factor to a winning season is to be solid at home, and to try to steal the points away. A win or a draw against most teams away is a good result and this should not be downplayed. This is the process pretty much every team in the modern game works to. We were down by a couple of players, and have a relatively new squad that is still adjusting to playing together. The fact that for some periods of the game we were under quite heavy pressure, yet the defence held firm is already a big improvement, and if this can continue, we look to be in for a good season when the forwards start firing, and the midfield creativity really kicks in. Still, I guess unless we win every game we play, the team is a joke, and the fans pathetic for accepting anything less...give me a break.
The solid at home and steal points away stuff is way out of date. This is 2007 football not 1980''s football. look at Man utd last year the whole team was built on attack and so goes with sunderland who got themselves promoted. I am glad your not managing the team because it would be bore , bore .......... boring...............SACK THE CLOWN NOW
 14.

Some of us on here have been saying this team is poor. only to be shot down by the yellow and green blinkers brigade.most on here will be happy with this result, which shows how far not only the team have sunk but also a fair few of our supporters.GRANT OUT NOW.
Yeah, because a draw at Preston is a total disgrace isn''t it?
In one word "YES"
 15.

Today has backed up what I have been missing for ages-talk about a road to Damascus moment-Smudger is a Binner, over here, on an eternal wind up, Christ, how I have fallen for it.....respect mate, but I''ve sussed you now and will, from now on, take everything you post with the revelation in mind.....
Once again I''m afraid the obvious view has been taken on Smudger here rather than the actual correct one. "Binner" my butt...because although I don''t know him, Smudger speaks with more passion than most of the rest of you put together. The classic call of "binner" (can''t you be more original than that anyway) covers the whole spectrum of those who don''t think like you...those who dare be different...those who want something better. I know exactly how he feels...and how his angst and frustration has become aimed at the sheep-like mentality of the average "fan" on here who would swear black was white if it meant avoiding the facts. Out in the real world in pubs and social circles this slaveish forum dedication to Smith''s little empire doesn''t exist...so it becomes hard for those of us who think "real" as opposed to "virtual". I also fear many of these "sheep" don''t ever mix with City fan''s from one week to the next...and so are out of touch with opinion on the ground and hang in a flock on here prattling on to gain approval of their kind. So....I''d far rather stand (oh no we can''t do that anymore can we?) next to Smudger at a match than listen to the wooly gloved "modern spectator" who can see nothing other than what they are told by the NCFC spin machine. Enjoy your season...and I feel genuine understanding for the "real" long term supporters out there....but mediocrity is the best you will get. We basically got a hiding yesterday in all but the scoreline....and what is the excuse?....that''s right, the food poisoning scare.  What will it be next week and the week after? I''m sure the likes of CA and her fellow apologists are already plotting what to say on a weekly basis...but come May we''ll see just what the real score is.
The P.R spin machine will be working overtime in the coming weeks as results stumble with the poor squad that has been put together by a clueless manager.GRANT OUT
 16.
Surely you optimistic fans with yella & green goggles welded to your eyes should not be coming out with such statements on the first day of a new season??? Whatever happened to your upbeat appraisal of this great squad that Granty has assemebled? I think that the word you are looking for is not mediocre.... but that mediocre = plop plop!!!!  [:D]
to true smudger, the yellow mist just dosen''t seem to clear for some posters on this board.this is a poor squad with a poor manager.GRANT OUT
 17.

as Neil Adams said that he thought this is a really poor preston team. Is nil , nil really that great of a result.I say no, those who went said it was hoofball all game with little threat up front. If this is whats to come it''s going to be a long long season.GRANT OUT NOW
So we sack grant, which will probably cost te club a million, maybe more. Then what do we do? who will replace him?
we sack him and find a manager who has a knack in the transfer market , knows team tactics and selection and dosen''t look like a looney on the sidelines.we have already had a chance to find a quality manager and blew it once worthy went. The boards fault and the board should pay up. clueless monkeys from top to bottom in this football club.GRANT OUT
 18.
We havent got any big named players. But a decent result with what we had on the pitch against a tricky side.
Neil Adams thought that it was a poor preston side yesterday. says it all really..................GRANT OUT (and not one little bit sorry)
 19.
no, the difference is we boo players when they need booing, we protest when protests are needed ... we dont moan and argue at every signing, manager, score, decision or opinion that we find about the club. Therefore smudger and people are wrong because they dont give anyone a chance even before they have seen them play...
or because people like smudger have actually seen them play, if like me you watch alot of footy then 9 times out of 10 you have seen them play. which then leads me to the connclusion that people like you that are prepared to put up with the poor quality of football at Carrow road theses day do not share the same AMBITION as the likes of me and smudger.GRANT OUT
 20. Shows how far we have fallen dosen''t itHappy with a point away and clean sheet, even neil adams commented how poor a preston team city where up against today.Sack grant NOW
 21. Some of us on here have been saying this team is poor. only to be shot down by the yellow and green blinkers brigade.most on here will be happy with this result, which shows how far not only the team have sunk but also a fair few of our supporters.GRANT OUT NOW.
 22. as Neil Adams said that he thought this is a really poor preston team. Is nil , nil really that great of a result.I say no, those who went said it was hoofball all game with little threat up front. If this is whats to come it''s going to be a long long season.GRANT OUT NOW
 23.

Reality check??? Yes you and many others on here clearly still need one don''t you KEELAN??? Lets see a healthy dose of reality this Saturday at Preston and the following Saturday at home to Southampton.... two defeats at the start of the season should get us off to a real flyer shouldn''t it????
please just go away
A really cracking post and the points you make to back up you claims are amazing !!!!!!
 24. The words balanced and quality, you not talking about this city team are you! This is the weakest team that i can remember going into a new season, all the top players sold apart from hux.We have replaced with cheap and poor players, sure we have made numerous signings this summer but i am looking for quality not quantity. This is going to be a long long long season ahead.
