  1. Good post although I feel it may come in for some stick!! I agree that we were very poor yesterday and for most of the match were inferior to arguably the worst team in the Premiership. The defence is the main worry for me as we are now creating and scoring goals but the amount we concede is shocking. I would have thought a team with a manager who was a tough tackling defender would also have a ship-shape defence but with our back four this is clearly not the case. This is what our ''coaches'' have to address before our next game. For gods sake give Jason Shackell a chance. He is going to get fed up before long and leave for a pittance and I for one can smell another Danny Mills situation.
  2. His commentary isnt the best but he is kind of an institution isnt he. We couldnt possibly get rid of good old Roy...after all he used to hold the door open for me when I worked in Norfolk Tower while i was at Norwich Union!!! Hes a top bloke and Radio Norfolk without Roy Waller is the local equivilant of Formula One without Murray Walker.
  3. Yeah. I have mates who play for Sheringham and Cromer and although their reports are not ever given that much airtime I am interested in hearing how they got on.  I would say there are also people who have mates/family playing for Diss Town, Kings Lynn et al and not too mention the many other people who take an interest in local football. If you dont care to listen to them turn of your radio set and think for a minute of something interesting to post on this website. Welcome to the board by the way!
  4. our defence were appalling at times today with the central defensive two being the main culprits. It really looked like we were trying to allow West Brom to have a go at us today! It is ironic that both Flem and Doc got on the score sheet though so i doubt they will come in for the critisism they deserve. I cant believe Worthington still does not give Shackell a game. I have seen him for the reserves on many occasions and I cannot recall him having a bad game. Also I cannot believe we didn''t strenghten the defence in the window. On todays performance a lot of work is going to be needed on all concerned if we are to use this result to start the great escape.
  5. In todays EDP he plays down the importance of tomorrows game. I hope behind the scenes he has absolutley drummed it into all concerned that this is a game we simply cannot lose. I have always tried to be positive but as the weeks go by relegation is looking more and more likely. I am a realistic person and I think if we dont pick up any points tomorrow relegation from the Premiership is almost certain despite what the eternal optimists might say. To play down its significance leaves me slightly puzzled...but at least we are still learning fast!!!
  6. Surely you must agree it is looking mighty ominus for us now. Poor finishing has cost us again in a match which according to Sky TV we played the better stuff. Saturday is the most crucial game of the season for us. WE SIMPLY CANNOT LOSE IT! If we do then for sure it is curtains.
  7. wow. think you need to cool your jets Yella Fella! I dont mind reading the gossip, no matter where it comes from. It just gets a tad tedious when you get people posting the same stories under a new topic every time. Granted sometimes this cannot be avoided as a result of the moderation on this board but here we have the same person duplicating his posts where he could simply add a reply.
  8. Another thing ''old matee'': do a spell check and read through your post before submitting it. It would make it a lot easier for us people with English as a first language to read. Cheers
  9. Do you realise you do not have to post an new topic every time you want to say something. Just add a reply under one of the many existing topics you have already started regarding Bellamy. Its getting a bit annoying.
  10. I know Brian Woolnough was at the game but as i dont buy his rag I dont know what he said about us in his report? I saw what was on the official Canaries website but that was it. Can anyone help out?
  11. Yeah its gotta be done. Its getting more and more expensive though but so is everything. I have been coming since I was 7 and im now nearly 23 so it would be hard to imagine not having a ticket! I still think that its a little harsh to increase the price even if we go down though.
  12. Agreed mate. This is gonna cost us dear come the end of the season. I would go as far as saying we do not have a prem quality defender at the club. Flem is rapidly showing his age and Doc although he is improving is not very agile. The fullbacks do not stay in position or close their man down half as quickly as they should. Charlton is good but lacks the height and shackell is never given a look in. I think he does want to sort it out by bringing in a loan player but he is fast running out of time. Just think how bad our g/d would be if Greeno had not been playing as well as he has been!
  13. From Skysports.com: Arsenal''s Jermaine Pennant has been arrested after a car accident. A Mercedes - believed to belong to team-mate Ashley Cole - crashed in Aylesbury, less than 24 hours before Arsenal''s Premiership clash with Newcastle. Pennant, who is already serving a 16-month driving ban, failed a breath test at the scene. The 22-year-old was forced out of the match with Newcastle as he was held by Police. He has now been released on bail and is scheduled to face Magistrates on February 1 where he will face drink driving, driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance charges. **seems they have an issue with driving bans at the moment down at Highbury!!**
  14. Sorry mate, I think you''ll find people were jeering because Jonson was being taken off and not because he had a bad game. I''d say the majority of the crowd (myself included) would rather have had Mulryne taken off instead, for another inept performance in the middle.
  15. It was a great comeback today.I have never seen anything like it inthe 16 years i have been going to Carrow Road. But we do have to look at how we got into that position. Our defending has to improve. Saying that I thought the Doc was awesome today and i retract my comment that he was never going to offer us anything. I thought however Edworthy was weak today and Drury although he had a solid game still has a lot of work to do regarding his positional sense. He gives his man far too much space and gets sucked in to the middle far to easily ( could he make a good central defender??) Another thing which I thought was evident was the lack of presence in our central midfield today. For some infuriating reason, Damo just goes missing and he did this for most of the match today. Mulryne was very weak and very slow. I hope Holts match fitness soon comes back as he made a difference today and the rest he has had will have done him the world of good. The good thing today was obviously our front line. Hucks back to his best and as for Ashton needing time to settle in to Premiership football....dont make me laugh! He was awesome! So there we are. If we can get someone in to revitalise the defence. Get some presence back in the midfield I too think we can put a run together and get ourselves out of the drop zone!
  16. I like Next clothes, and I spent 3 months last year in the US so i guess im a typical fan!
  17. Just read this on Skysports.com/yourview: Didier Rio: ''''I heard rumours from Carrow Road that Youri Djorkaeff will play at Norwich till the end of the season to replace the injured David Bentley, they also ask Arsenal about Emmanuel Petit''s fitness'''' Another load of crap or could this be true??
  18. For me i''d say: Green Helveg Flem Shackell Drury Jonson Francis Safri/Holt Huckerby Ashton Leon
  19. Dont be stupid. Huckerby is our most influential player when He is on song. To leave him out is just idiotic. Yeah he has not had the best of times recently but who has?
  20. Hey dont forget his other classics... ''''Were in the Premier League, and were still enjoying it'''' ''''Its a learning curve'''' ''''The work ethic is there'''' All of these usually with the trade mark ''Know what I Mean''
  21. I would also agree with this comment. He was an inspirational player in the run in of the playoff campaign. One of those confidence players though and it was such a shame the way he was treated by the fans of this club who jeered his every move.
  22. We have to pull our fingers out now. Worthy sort your tactics out. You did well in getting Ashton but jeez, playing him up front alone is a bloody joke. Hes always had a strike partner playing along side him and then we go and throw him in at the deepend with bugger all support. I am positive he will score us many goals but I feel now that it is too late. People on here all have a go at people like Mark Lawrenson and the like but to be fair they are correct. Where is our next win coming from? I hate to say this, but realistically we do not possess the quality to survive both in terms of playing personnel and management. Probably get a slating for this but who cares...people who see without y&g glasses will probably agree at least.
  23. Shame to lose him but aside from a couple of good performances i have been pretty disappointed by him this season. Anyways all the best to him and who knows, maybe we might see him back here come the summer.
  24. Yeah they have done a great job but mostly down to the players. From what I have seen of the coaches they dont seem that inspiring. Also they are responsible with some shocking tactics and team selections but I dont want to go there right now as injurys aside things look up due to Ashtons arrival.
  25. No big loss if he went in my opinion. I dont rate the coaching staff at this club a great deal and I feel if he went we would be no worse off.
