Referee for Saturday's game
LinkNR9 replied to Back after the break's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I was hoping the ref would be A D''Urso, with linesmen K. Friend and E. Ilderton! Trevor Kettle, I remember him for being a bit hot under the collar. Hopefully things wont boil over and he will turn red! Just need to remind Holty not to spout out at him!
I''m sure he won''t get steamed up. -

I''m sure he''ll be in his element. -
Adie Boothroyd or Paul Lambert ?
LinkNR9 replied to Snoots's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
So then, Boothroyd or Lambert? [:P]
I''d rather Boothroyd, because I''d rather us be in 7th place than 1st. Seriously, what is the point of dragging up old posts like this? -
So emotional(almost cried)......So proud of my beloved City.Big cheer 2 all the fans.
Hate to admit, but I was the same!
and what has happened to the lambert doubters now , i got fair bit of **** arond october last year for saying we would go up , where are you all now ?
Party pooper! -
How relieved are you and honestly did anyone think this would happen today after the tuesday. Brilliant and lets make sure we enjoy the rest of the season
I certainly didn''t, but I''m so pleased to say I was wrong!
Who would have forecast this after the opening game against Colchester? That day, our team disgraced themselves. Today, many of the same players completed their redemption. Michael Nelson looked hopeless against Col U, but has grown in confidence all season and stepped in for Askou brilliantly. His goal today capped a Man of the Match display. Alongside him, Doc played well to deliver another clean sheet with Forster again on fantastic form. Drury has been a loyal servant for this club without ever getting much reward, and I''m delighted he gets another promotion on his CV. Simon Lappin, shut out by Roeder, delivered the corner for the goal today and while he may not cut it at the next level, he''s been a real bonus this season. Russell, who wanted away but has stayed, has been very good for most of the season, and Chris Martin has proved many people wrong and will continue to do so next season. There''s something poetic about doing it at the Valley after last year''s fiasco. Thank you Paul Lambert. God this is awesome, I''m off to break my marathon training vow and get p**sed. [B][B][B][B [:D]][B][B][B] [+o(]
LOL- good man!

Smudger and moaning go together like strawberries and cream...besides being miserable is all part of his charm. Tonight lets celebrate and not have digs at others posters!
Totally agree, time for a united fan base and lets push them on for the title together [:)]
Bump - let''s all enjoy this!
But WLY will be calm and won''t lose his head. He has the experience, when nerves might get the better of the younger team members. If he were to score the winning goal would you still be saying the same? lol
Might be useful behind the front two if we''re chasing the game. His little legs might have gone, but he''s got a good footballing brain and has always been able to pick a pass.

Tomorrows the day , bet you wish you all had tickets
Sorry, but I can''t see us getting a point tomorrow.
I can''t see us getting a point either, I WILL see us get 3 points.
I''d love us to get three points, Harry, but without Holt and Hooli-boy, plus looking at the way we played on Tuesday, plus our previous form at Charlton, I can''t see anything other than a win for them (albeit a narrow one). I think that it will be the Carlisle game that sees us go up (and as Champions).

Finally - Something to ssshhh you moaning buggers
LinkNR9 replied to Brendo's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I think he was trying to gee people up, but seems to have worded it in a way which is just gonna p!ss everyone off lol, so pleased about tonights result though, 3 points and we''re up [:D]
Spot on - we will go to ''squeaky bum'' wins against Gillingham and Carlisle to finally see it through. -
We're Close, Really Close Now

Does anyone hand on heart see us getting anything from tomorrows game?
WAY ......nnnoooooooooooo!
On curent form, we will get beaten tomorrow. We will need wins against Gillingham and Carlisle. -

2-0 to Charlton (and we''ll be lucky to get nil).

He is definitely out for the rest of the season. Please feel free to resurrect this post if I''m wrong.

What did he have to say?
In early March posters were agreeing that there were no easy games. As I pointed out, low placed teams pull out great performances as the threat of relegation approaches. If it was true in early March then it is even more so today. There are no easy games. I really don''t u nderstand all the despondency on here tonight about us losing two allegedly easy games. These things happen. We are not the only top six team who will suffer an upset before the end of the season. I am not suggesting complacency or that we are playing well. Clearly we are not but the hysteria tonight is so over the top.
Come on, we''re Norwich fans, we''ve come to expect the worst! We are the team that will be low on confidence at the moment; the likes of Leeds and Charlton won''t be. We may limp over the finshing line if we win our last two home games. However, on current form, that''s by no means a certainty.

They Think It's All Over!
LinkNR9 replied to Rudolph Hucker's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
This is what happens when fans and Club think it''s ''job done!'' I believe we will lose Saturday, let the opposition creep up on us and then get promoted on the strength of two nervy home games. Only Norwich could get promoted on an anti-climax!
I think that your assessment is spot on there, Rudi! -
turn into a nightmare.
It''s already started to turn...

Are we going to beat the 10 away win record
LinkNR9 replied to city4eva's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
yes on saturday, 3-1 to us
I admire your optimism but question your sanity. If we can''t beat Tranmere or Orient away, what makes you think we''ll beat Charlton? -
Yeah but think about it, 2 wins and we''re up. Not too difficult I''m pretty sure we can win two of our last games.
"Not too difficult.."? We have lost two out of our last three games (against poor opposition).

Are we going to beat the 10 away win record
LinkNR9 replied to city4eva's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
No, not on this form. -
I can''t believe this. We''ve not won in three games (two against bottomm four opposition) and people are still saying "Don''t worry". As usual, Norwich are choking when it matters. We may limp over the finishing line, if we''re lucky.
